Shing was worth every penny and the BEST decision we made for our wedding. All their team members are genuinely great people who go above and beyond every step of the way.
Our planner, Eva, addressed every question, email, and concern with kindness, patience, and incredible attention to detail. She just radiates positivity and calmness, which put all of our worries completely at ease. The wedding day honestly felt like we were getting royal treatment. They were constantly checking in to make sure we weren’t thirsty, hungry, or tired. The level of attentiveness was absolutely insane! We are so thankful for them that we were able to enjoy our wedding to the fullest knowing we were in such good hands.
They are truly exceptional. I’ll be raving about them to every bride who is about to get married! We can't put into words how thankful we are to have worked with Eva and the rest of Shing for our special day! -

We honestly cannot say enough amazing things about Lisa, Eva, Debbie, and Shelton! From the very beginning, they went above and beyond to make our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more.
They were incredibly organized, attentive, responsive, and somehow always one step ahead. There were a few things that happened behind the scenes that we didn’t even find out about until the following day — which is exactly what you want from a wedding team! They handled everything quietly and seamlessly so we could simply enjoy our day.
One moment in particular really showed us just how caring and attentive they were. A glass broke near my elderly grandmother, and Lisa immediately grabbed a wet cloth and personally wiped my grandmother’s feet to make sure there were no tiny pieces of glass left. It was such a small moment in the grand scheme of the day, but it meant so much to us. She didn’t hesitate for a second to make sure my grandmother was safe and taken care of, and that perfectly captured the level of care they brought to everything.
They took the time to truly understand what we wanted and brought every little detail to life so beautifully. What stood out most was how genuinely invested they were in making our day special.
Each of them played such an important role:
Lisa was absolutely incredible at keeping everything on track and making sure the day flowed smoothly. She somehow always knew exactly what I needed and when I needed it, often before I even realized I needed it myself.
Eva was always nearby, ready to help with anything I needed, and even kept all of my personal belongings safely in her bag throughout the day. Having her next to me was the best!
Debbie provided the sense of calm and reassurance I needed right before the ceremony. Her presence helped settle my nerves and made that moment feel even more special.
And Shelton was amazing! When I was dancing barefoot on the dance floor, he actually gave me a choice between hotel slippers and flip flops — and then went the extra mile by getting slippers for everyone else who was dancing barefoot on the dance floor. He also made sure I had water whenever I wasn’t dancing. Those thoughtful little touches made such a difference!
They made the entire planning process feel so much easier and allowed us to truly be present and enjoy our wedding day without worrying about the details.
Our wedding was absolutely perfect, and a huge part of that was because of this incredible team. We are beyond grateful for everything Lisa, Eva, Debbie, and Shelton did for us. They were not only amazing at what they do, but also genuinely kind, caring, and invested in making our day unforgettable.

After conducting much research, we decided to contact Shing Weddings about potentially planning our wedding. We had some loose ideas, but as we were the first to be getting married amongst our friends here in Vancouver, we were definitely looking for a full planner. In our first meeting with Michelle, she totally impressed us. She made us feel comfortable even though we were a bit awkward, and we felt she was able to really connect with and understand us. We knew we had found our planner. Over the next year, she always kept us on top of everything, coming with us on venue tours, providing perfect lists of vendors for us to choose from, and taking care of every little worry. She was superbly detailed and organized, keeping our tasks in a checklist and setting up a precise day-of timeline. On the wedding day, she and her team took such great care of us and were our problem-solvers. We can’t express just how grateful we are for Michelle and everyone at Shing Weddings for helping us through the entire process. We ended up having our perfect wedding, and we 100% could not have done it without Michelle. Thank you so much! -

Lisa Lee-Truong of Shing Weddings gave me something I did not expect from a wedding planner: the confidence to completely let go.
I do not hand over control easily, and Lisa earned my complete trust as we planned our son’s wedding at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
She is organized, responsive and clear. She knows exactly what needs to happen next, anticipates issues before they arise, and handles them quietly and efficiently. Throughout the planning process, she was both a bridge and a buffer, keeping everyone connected while absorbing the questions, moving pieces and inevitable complications so they never became our burden.
And then the wedding arrived.
Lisa absolutely nailed it.
I felt like a guest at my son’s wedding. No stress, no fuss, no drama, just the freedom to be Aidan’s mum and enjoy the evening. I wasn’t checking timelines, following up with vendors or wondering what needed to happen next. I knew Lisa had it.
That is an extraordinary gift.
Lisa oversaw the wedding with Eva, Debbie and Shelton, and all four were exceptional, warm, caring, attentive and completely on top of everything. They managed the evening seamlessly without ever making it feel managed.
The level of personal care was remarkable. Debbie made sure I always had a glass of alcohol-free bubbles in my hand, a small gesture, perhaps, but one that meant so much to me as someone who doesn’t drink. Eva felt like part of our family. Her genuine excitement for Aidan and Taylor, and for all of us, absolutely shone through.
What makes Lisa exceptional is the way she combines remarkable competence with genuine warmth. She is thoughtful, kind, protective and deeply caring. She listened carefully, understood what mattered to us, and made us feel completely supported from beginning to end.
She is protective of the bride, groom and their families. Questions and problems go to her, and she makes sure unnecessary stress, negativity and drama never reach the people who are there to enjoy the day.
Her reputation within the Vancouver wedding industry speaks volumes. Every vendor and venue we worked with spoke of Lisa with enthusiasm, confidence and enormous respect. She has built strong relationships with the best in the business, and it is easy to understand why. Lisa is so thorough and organized that the people working alongside her can arrive knowing everything has been thought through, focus on what they do best, and deliver their best work.
To me, that is the thread running through everything Lisa does. She absorbs the complexity and takes care of the details in a way that makes the experience better for everyone around her: the bride and groom, their families, the vendors and ultimately the guests.
Lisa gave Aidan and Taylor, our family and our guests an incredible gift: the ability to be fully present for a beautiful wedding and enjoy every moment.
A wedding gives you one chance to get it right. There is no second opportunity to recreate the day, fix what went wrong or experience those moments again. Being able to place that responsibility in Lisa’s hands and trust her completely meant everything to us.
I could not be happier. If we were planning this wedding all over again, I would choose Lisa and Shing Weddings 1,000 times over. -

We had an exceptional experience with Shing Weddings! Lisa and her team were professional, organized, and attentive throughout the entire process.
Among many other things, we were especially impressed with how seamless the day went, all thanks to Shing Weddings. For example, the team had a very large job of turning our ceremony room into a seated dinner reception in a short period of time. This was completed flawlessly. A number of our guests specifically noted how efficient and well-run the day went.
We especially want to recognize Eva, who went above and beyond to ensure that we felt taken care of leading up to and on our special day. She always gave 100% in her work and we could not be more grateful to her.
We highly recommend Shing Weddings for anyone planning their upcoming nuptials!

I personally didn't know what to expect. All I knew is that my now wife and I were incredibly busy with our lives and wanted our special day to be more focused on the whole experience, rather than prep. So we decided to look for a wedding planner. We were blown away by the care and service they provided.
We felt like VIP's, and took care of all the little details like keeping us hydrated in between shoots or making sure we had food on our plates by serving us. Wasn't what I expected at all, and they got along with all of our guests. Though chaotic at times, but they were cool and professional.
We knew from the first initial call that Eva was the right fit for us. We were skeptical with whether it would fit in our budget but we decided we wanted to optimize for comfort and experience. If that's you and you're reading this, I would say yes to them right away before they are booked.
I appreciate the Shing team more than words can say. Thanks for everything and making our day so memorable for everyone. Love you guys! -
