Shana has been great from the first email inquiry to saying good night the night of our wedding. She is professional, approachable, prompt with communication and she knows her stuff! (She was able to suggest various vendors that worked out great for us). Plus she'll grab you fried chicken when your hotel room is right beside a chicken place =D

Shana and Dreamweavers was an incredibly influential part of our wedding. Shana is amazing.
We met her via Zoom during the lockdown in February. We had interviewed a few planners and felt that Shana not only was highly skilled and honest, but also has a great personality - I mention this because you are about to spend months to possibly years with your planner, not only are they in charge of your big event or wedding, but you will be spending a lot of time with them planning, touring venues, review budgets, etc. So choose your planner wisely! My partner is on the quiet side, and me... well let's just say I'm wedding and style illiterate.
We met her in February and our wedding was in October. Planning a wedding in 8 months is difficult. Add-in a lockdown during a pandemic, with changing restrictions and so much uncertainty, well... it's a recipe for a lot of stress. Shana held our hands throughout the entire process; she is patient, understanding, kind, diligent, and has an eye for style. I am so grateful to have hired her for our big day. The wedding day itself will always be busy and filled with memories, and it's so great having someone you can trust to orchestrate the wedding so you can truly enjoy yourself.
Without her this would've been such a stressful event. I am so glad we had Shana and her team. Thank you Shana!-

The Dreamweaver team really made our wedding easy and worry free! We hired the team for the day of coordination and they really took all the stress off before, during and after the wedding. I was able to wake up, enjoy every moment of the day without having to worry about timelines, questions from the vendors, set ups or making sure everything is packed up at the end of the day.

I found DreamWeaver Events through Wedding Wire and I worked with Shana DeRoche. She had an introductory phone call with me and she followed up with me a few days later to see if I had any further questions. I could tell from her initiative to follow up with me and our first meeting that she really cared and I hired her to be my wedding planner!
We had monthly meetings and she gave us her list of preferred vendors which saved us so much time when it came to planning our wedding. Every vendor she recommended to us who we hired turned out to be outstanding. Shana also created a timeline for us to help us tackle all the tasks for our wedding. Our wedding also had cultural traditions that Shana and her team took the time to get to know. Shana also confirmed timings of arrival with all of our vendors the week before our wedding which saved us a lot of effort. Throughout our wedding planning process which was about a year and a half she was very approachable and easy to contact, she would respond almost immediately through text and email.
The day of our wedding our her team came on time, prepared and they tackled EVERY potential hiccup that could have occurred very professionally and efficiently. (They even helped me put my earrings and shoes on!) I could not have asked for a better wedding day and I really owe it to Shana and her team at DreamWeaver Events!Dream Weaver Events's reply:

Shana and her team are an absolute pleasure to work with, I would recommend her in a heartbeat! Shana was my day of coordinator for our 80-guest wedding. All our vendors raved about her professionalism, personality and organization skills. The whole day was super relaxed and seamless, she kept us on schedule, well-fed and relaxed throughout the day. I’m typically the type of person who worries about every little detail and constantly checking the time. But on our wedding day, I didn’t look at the time once! She made sure everything I had planned for the wedding was executed and executed very well. Shana has a natural talent for wedding planning, she loves weddings with a passion and this is evident throughout her work. She made my day extra special with her contagious lively and cheerful personality.

Meet the team
Ever since I can remember, creating events has been my passion, but it did take me some time to dedicate my life to them. I guess my journey started with not quite loving my first career path. Business marketing for me was a head-down, get in and get out path that led me to various marketing administrative job(s) across the GTA. Pepper in various client service and hospitality jobs and you've got a girl who's not really passionate about anything but finding her purpose.
In 2013 I took a large leap of faith and decided to quit a secure, full-time job and go back to school for Special Event Management. Pretty immediately I knew I was where I was meant to be. Fast forward a year and a half, countless event experiences, a cap-and-gown later, and I'm working full time at a prestigious historic Toronto venue, as well as a well-known Toronto-based wedding planning company.

Over the course of the next three years, I soaked in everything I could about the industry through other professionals, developed my own style, found my place, and in 2017, Dream Weaver Events was born. I absolutely LOVE what I do - which is how I've been able to bring something special to the planning process for my clients. I take my passion for creating, my business-professional experience, and my true love of building relationships in to each and every event I design and execute. When all is said and done and you're walking into your event for the first time, I promise you will experience every element of detail we discovered together during the process.
When I'm not planning or designing, I'm spending precious time with my family and friends, probably making them sit down to a curated table setting for an otherwise normal dinner. I'm a big baseball fan, my favourite colour is purple, and I'm obsessed with hot air balloons.
