Photography by Tanya Plonka is photography company based in Lethbridge, Alberta. Tanya is a very passionate photographer and identifies with contemporary and portraiture styles. From the first sip of champagne as you get ready, to the last dance, Tanya will capture every moment and every emotion, for you to cherish together.

Experience

Tanya graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a BFA (Multidisciplinary) with Great Distinction. She has been published in a range of magazines, including; Wedding Bells Magazine, Rock N' Roll Bride, Bridge Magazine and Air Canada's enRoute Magazine. Tanya has also won the Sun Times Best of the Best in 2024 for the 6th time and was awarded a Chamber of Commerce Top 40 Under 40 win in 2019.

Professional, kind, and top of the line

Tanya and Cam are both the best photographers i’ve ever worked with. They are so professional and organized. They work quickly, don’t miss any desired shots, and their work is so beautiful. They’re also so fun and kind. Photoshoots can be so awkward but they make it so much more fun and relaxed. I love how you get both professional and candid shots and you get to have photographs of moments that you may have missed as you can’t be everywhere at the wedding at once. I’m so happy with the work that was done, and the photos were given back super quick. I would recommend Tanya Plonka to anyone looking for photography.

Excellent Photographer!

Tanya was our photographer for our wedding last year and we were very happy with her. We had amazing pictures and she also had them back to us very fast. Definitely would recommend her if you are looking for a photographer.

Amazing!!!

The best decision I made was hiring Tanya and Cam to photograph our wedding. I had a very very tight timeline, and they captured every moment perfectly. The evening went off without a hitch. They were professional, personable, and incredibly talented. Thank you for the amazing memories, the photos so perfectly capture the spirit of the day, they are so much more than just pictures.
I also looked through hundreds of wedding photographers, and their pricing cannot be beaten, not for the quality they provide.

Great experience, would recommend

We really enjoyed working with Tanya and her partner. They were confident in their work, organized and accommodating. Our vision was well executed and we are so happy with how the photos turned out!

We hired videographers as well and were happy to see Tanya and her partner work so well with them.

Excellent photographer!

We are so happy with our photos from Tanya! She was quick to reply to my initial inquiries and I liked that we had a phone consult prior to booking her and prior to the wedding, both initiated by her. We had a plan and timeline and everything went smoothly with our photos. We got all the shots I had requested and then some. Can't wait to frame them and it will be tough to decide which are my favorites!

Couldn’t be happier...simply amazing!

I cannot begin to express how pleased we were with Tanya and Cam. We are from the states so planning a wedding from so far away can be nerve racking. However, Tanya took the time to talk to us a number of times to be sure they not only captured the special moments in our day but also to suggest shots that would add to our memories. We knew Waterton was beautiful and that it would photograph well but the way they captured our relationship and those of our children and families was simply amazing. We could not be happier and will treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.

Great experience!

Working with Tanya was a great experience. She is professional, talented, and you can tell she is passionate about what she does. Tanya and her second shooter kept us smiling and on time all night, and she was so quick getting our finished photos to us. We absolutely love them, especially the candids that were taken of our family and friends. The whole process was smooth and enjoyable from the minute we met. Thank you!

Waterton Wedding Photographer

Tanya was very responsive and great to work with for all aspects of our Waterton wedding. She was not only amazing at capturing our day, she was also so helpful in recommending other vendors and being able to show us other weddings in her albums that used those vendors. Tanya and her second shooter were very professional and easy to work with. We were amazed at the quality of the photos and the speed on which we had access to the edited images. Highly recommended. We often comment we will be calling Tanya in 5 years for family photos!

I cannot recommend Tanya enough. Every shot is absolutely amazing and we treasure each one. Prompt, professional, great to work with, genuinely happy and passionate about what she does and it shows. We were floored, absolutely flabberghasted by the incredible photos we received. Absolutely worth it. So amazing.

Working with Tanya is amazing! I have had the pleasure of working with Tanya in the past for a few other photo-shoots (personal portraits, engagement photos, etc.). With Tanya it feels like the process is effortless. You just be yourself, and then when you take a look through the photos you can't help but wonder how she managed to catch such amazing and stunning shots.

When my husband and I were planning our wedding we knew that no other photographer would do. We were ecstatic when Tanya confirmed that she would be willing to travel to Priddis, AB for our wedding. Thinking back to that day it seemed like a whirlwind from morning to night. But all of the beautiful pictures that we have from that day ensure that the memories and feelings from our wedding linger on inside us when viewing her photos.

We can't thank Tanya (and her husband) enough for the amazing job that she (they) do. Tanya will definitely be our family photographer for life!
