Megan Kemshead Photography is an Edmonton-based (but loves to travel!) company that provides wedding and engagement photography. She likes to really get to know the couples she works with, learn about their story, and meet their friends and family so that she can portray the real emotions of your day. She will help to pose you, but not in an overly stiff way. Her job is to capture your most beautiful, natural self. Most importantly, your day should be fun and stress free.
Experience
Megan has worn a few different hats in her day. She actually started off studying to be a nurse. But plans changed and she found herself in Halifax at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in photography. She moved back to Alberta about 10 years ago and has been focusing on weddings full time for the past 4 years.

Other services
She spends most of her time doing weddings and engagements, but she also loves to do family photos! She has so much fun seeing couples grow and have families and being able to capture all those moments for them as they grow and change.

Captured Our Day(s) Beautifully!
Megan was an absolute delight to work with, and our photos turned out beautifully. We were lucky enough to do three different shoots with her - our engagement photos, our wedding elopement photos, and our wedding celebration photos. Megan was amazing in directing and guiding us during the shoot, and was wonderfully accommodating (we had to change plans due to COVID restrictions and she worked with us to find a suitable alternative). We really appreciate how she took the time and effort to get to know us as a couple, and we greatly appreciated her willingness to travel to get the photos we hoped for (we did our engagement photos in Jasper and our elopement in Banff). We feel so fortunate to have her with us to capture our special moments, and we cannot recommend her highly enough.

Highly recommend!!
We both loved working with Megan on both our engagement shoot and our wedding day! She is professional, fun and easy to work with.
She was able to capture some beautiful shots which we will cherish for a lifetime. Love her style of photography too!!

The photos speak for themselves. Megan explains her photos as “capturing the energy”, and she does just that. The photos are artistic, and emotional. She’s so kind and warm hearted it makes The process enjoyable! So easy to work with. I absolutely loved her!

We had our engagement photos with Megan and she made us feel amazing! You can really see her passion for photography through all of her photos. Her style is so unique and she is just an overall genuine person! We can't wait to see her again for our wedding day.

Well, where do I being honestly Megan has been a blessing to our family! She has done engagement photos, family photo, wedding photos you name it she has become our family photographer. She is truly amazing at what she dose she just has pure talent for capturing the moments. She great at getting back to you and being flexible with scheduling time and it dose not cost an arm and leg which is helpful for a young family like us. I would highly recommend Megan to anyone you will not be disappointing that I can grantee!!

I am not comfortable in front of a camera but with Megan she somehow made it so easy! We have the best photos to remember the best day! We are so happy with the results. I love how our photos bring us right back to the day and all the memories, she captured all the emotions throughout the day perfectly! Her photos made our wedding magazine worthy!

Megan is not only an extremely talented photographer, but she is also a hard working, genuine individual who is extremely easy to work with! Throughout our engagement photos as well as our wedding day, Megan was punctual, professional, and very personable with not only myself and my husband, but with all of the wedding guests. We received our photos back quickly, and even got our sneak peaks the day following the wedding!
Her creative touch made our wedding photos unique and timeless, and the compliments we receive continue to be endless, even months after our wedding! She has an amazing talent to catch every single moment of the day, regardless of how small it may be.
