We hired Gillian to photograph our micro wedding, and we had a wonderful experience. She met with us beforehand to discuss what we wanted and what her style is. On the day of, she was very professional, and she calmly and helpfully directed us in different locations and poses. Even though it was quite cold, she never made us feel rushed when we took our outdoor photos. If you're looking for brightly edited photos with a genuinely kind photographer, Gillian is great!

Gillian exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding day! She was communicative during the months leading up to the wedding, her online customer portal is very user friendly, and she even sent us a small gift package (even though we live in a different country) to help get us excited. But where Gillian really shined was on our wedding day - wow, we can't say enough good things! She and her second photographer were professional and made sure we kept to our schedule, but they were disarming, friendly, and so personable at the same time. The photos are stunning and we love her more candid/documentary style. We can't decide which photos we want framed on our wall! I wish we had more life events coming up so we could hire Gillian again.

We got married in October 2022 and Gillian was simply amazing! From the beginning of the day to the last hour with her, Gillian was professional, friendly and engaging! From laughter to catwalks she kept us entertained and our photos are proof that we were comfortable with her! She took little to no time to provide us with some samples of our photos and we are already sooooooo impressed!

To date, our guests still speak of how nice she was and they loved her! She captured the candid moments :)

She is worth every single dollar. She goes above and beyond and we can confirm, her work/product is exactly what you'll want! The photos are just spectacular!

Gillian was by far the best experience of my wedding. She was able to make my husband and I feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera for both our legal ceremony in 2020, and our wedding 2.0 in 2021, and the photos were amazing!

This review is a long time coming (sorry Gillian!). Gillian shot our wedding last July and I cannot think of a single thing I would have changed - she herself was lovely and fun, and the photos she captured of our day were stunning. She captured the feeling of the day and just as we wanted, got some amazing natural photos of friends and family smiling, laughing, dancing. She knew that I wasn't a huge fan of the "portrait" type shots and so worked with me to move those big family shots along quickly, for which I am eternally grateful. She even helped us to stay on track time-wise. The "sneak peak" photos came quickly - we were on our honeymoon! - and she was communicative throughout the whole process. A year after the wedding, I still often go back and look through our album and smile.

10/10 - go with Gillian!

Gillian is great, she was very easy to work with. She gave us some tips in terms of our day of timeline and was always quick to respond to any questions we had. On the wedding day, Gillian was flexible and very accomodating with our guests, taking as many group pictures they desired. She also snuck in a few surprise detail pictures that we were so happy with. Our pictures came back super quick and we were so pleased with the results, everyone who has seen them has raved about them, and how natural and genuine they look. If you are looking for a photographer who cares about your day and making it special whichever way they can, Gillian is the person for you. She will keep you relaxed and will make sure that any poses you think are awkward will turn out amazing.

Gillian is a creative and innovative photographer who listens to what her couples want and also offers great advice - from engagement photo locations to capturing beautiful images of our wedding day. She is calm, thoughtful, easy going, and so much fun to hang out with!

Gillian was excellent at making us feel comfortable for our big day and provided us with quality photographs :) we were so happy to have worked with her!!

My husband and I were thrilled with Gillian and her work! What attracted us first to her photography was how beautiful, yet simple and natural the pictures looked. My husband and I are not fancy/'artsy' people and were just looking for 'normal' photographs to capture our big day. Gillian listened to what we wanted, respected our own taste, and didn't put us through any strange poses :) Gillian responded promptly to our emails and was professional and organized both before and on our wedding day. Our biggest fear was having a photographer that was 'in your face'. We didn't want someone who would get in the way of our special moments, including the ceremony, our first dance, and cutting our cake. Gillian was very careful to stand at a distance and we realized once we got the pictures back, that we forgot she was even there at some points throughout the day. Our favourite part of the wedding photography experience was taking photos before the ceremony with just my husband and I. Gillian and her assistant made it so enjoyable and easy-going, yet at the same time professional and organized and we just remember laughing throughout the pictures and having a really good time. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Gillian again (in fact, my parents did for a brunch they hosted!), and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fabulous photographer! Gillian made the whole process stress-free, came in on budget, gave us hundreds of beautiful wedding photos, and was an absolute pleasure to work with!! Thank you Gillian!
