Led by Laurie Becker, an Alberta Marriage Commissioner, she helps each of her clients put words to their love for each other. She strives to help engaged couples celebrate their union in an engaging and inclusive way.

Services Offered

Laurie invites you to consult with her regarding your vision for your special ceremony. She can guide you through preparing your vows and you can inform her of any preferred rituals you would like to include, such as lighting candles. You can also arrange for a ceremony rehearsal with Laurie, ensuring everything is in order prior to your big day. Joining Dreams is also available to perform vow renewals and civil unions.

The Best Ceremony of My Life - My 90 Year old Great Aunt

Laurie did such a fantastic job at the ceremony! There was a level of personalization and detail that we have never encountered before. We had family members come up to us after the ceremony stating they had learned more about our personalities and relationship from Laurie's brief ceremony than they had from knowing us our entire lives. She perfectly hit all the emotional notes from humour to somberness. It was by far the most beautiful and touching ceremony either of us had ever seen.

She is affordable, and was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. We seriously can't overstate how amazing she is.

Dreams Joined

Laurie is very friendly, funny and went above and beyond to provide a personalized ceremony. She wants to tell your story rather than just have you follow a repeat after me script. Her availability and communication were fantastic, everything ran on schedule and there were no concerns.

Laurie was the officiant for our wedding, and we were both very pleased with her services. She was professional, prompt in communication, well prepared, and was very helpful during the planning process for our ceremony. She reached out to our loved ones to gather their kind words and funny stories, and incorporated it into a personalized and thoughtful program for our ceremony, which we loved. She had us all laughing and crying. Thanks Laurie!

Incredible ceremony

Laurie was the perfect officiant for our wedding. From the moment we met her, she brought such warmth, grace, and calm to the process. The ceremony she crafted for Tom and me was absolutely beautiful — it struck the perfect balance of romance and lightheartedness, making it feel so personal and true to us.

She took the time to get to know our story, and it showed in every word she spoke. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how touching and genuine the ceremony was. Laurie has a true gift, and we feel so lucky to have had her play such an important role in our day.

Most amazing ceremony!!!

Laurie was an absolute delight. Her process for making our ceremony unique to us and having backup plans incase anything were to happen made the planning process stress-free and made the ceremony feel incredibly special and personal. She made a unique script for our ceremony including things our loved ones had said about our relationship that even after 2 weeks, our guests are still telling us how much they loved the ceremony and was Laurie said. My husband and I are so happy we went with Laurie and will never forget how special she made our day. We would 100% recommend her to anyone to be their JP!

Best.Day.Ever.

Laurie is an AMAZING wedding officiant. We asked and she delivered. Laurie took the time to get to know us, ask us questions and was able to capture the small, special moments of how we met and infuse them into our wedding ceremony flawlessly. We enjoyed her wit and energy that she brought. Best officiant out there in our books!

Exactly what we asked for!

Laurie was amazing right from first contact to the day of our little ceremony. We didn't want anything fancy, long, or too wordy. We asked for something "short and sweet," and that is exactly what we got. She was very flexible, easy to work with, personable, professional and fun. She has a really good read on people. I would highly recommend her to anyone wishing to tie-the-know :)

She is amazing!! Literally a last minute wedding and she was there. Right on time, she definitely came through. She did such a good speech for us and got our story to the point. So, friendly and we had so many laughs. I highly recommend this amazing woman.

Wonderful officiant!

We had the pleasure of having Laurie as our officiant for our elopement ceremony on April.9 ,2024. From the very beginning Laurie walked us through the steps we had to do, sent us reminders, and was quick to respond to questions I had. She personalized our ceremony and offered to print out our vows so we’re able to keep them in a scrap book or frame them afterwards. We loved every second of it, and can’t recommend her enough. 10/10 experience for sure!
