Cadenza Strings delivers!!!
We used Cadenza Strings at our July 2022 wedding. It was rather a late decision to add chamber music, but Brenna was able to ‘orchestrate’ the whole thing. ☺ We received much positive feedback from the guests on the inclusion of a chamber orchestra.
The musicians are very competent in their playing ability. They are very versatile and have a wide repertoire of music to choose from. We had them play as the guests arrived, for the processional, the recessional and during part of the cocktail hour. It all went off very well. We decided that as a signal that the event was about to begin, the musicians would change tempo from the airy classical tunes to the upbeat “Sweet Dreams”. This was very well done. Cadenza Strings does an exceptional rendition of this particular piece. Our processional was the joyful “Marry You”, perfect for the occasion.
The musicians not only play well, but they also look good in their elegant black clothing and are punctual.
Cadenza Strings would add an element of class to any occasion.
Brenna is amazing!

I am a professional violinist, violist & entrepreneur based in Ottawa & Toronto, Ontario. I founded Cadenza Strings in 2004 with my best friend Sonya, while we were both students in the music program at Canterbury High School in Ottawa. We've been providing music for weddings ever since!
I completed my post-secondary studies at the University of Montreal and the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music. Outside the world of weddings, you can find me performing with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, l'Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, and many others.
When I am not performing or organizing music, I love to travel, read, and tend my many houseplants.
I come from a musical family and have played cello since a young age. I attended Canterbury High School's strings program and completed my postsecondary studies in cello performance at McGill University.
You can find me onstage with rock and Baroque bands alike – I even wrote and recorded the string parts for Australian metal band Parkway Drive's 2018 album "Reverence".
Special skills: I'm a professional plumber and I cook a mean omelette.
I am a professional cellist and music educator living in Gatineau, QC. From a young age, I have been passionate about collaborating with fellow musicians and organizing various musical projects - one of which was the creation of Cadenza Strings in 2004 with my best friend, Brenna!
Professionally, I split my time between teaching, creating content for my online business, and performing with a variety of musical organizations, including the National Arts Centre Orchestra.
I hold degrees in cello performance from the University of Montreal and the University of Houston, and am a three-time graduate of the Yoga Better teacher training program. If I'm not playing or teaching cello, you can likely find me doing handstands.
I'm also the mom of a rambunctious one year old, and a few too many cats.
