Paul kept everyone on the Dance floor all night! So many complements about the song choices he picked. Most people said they have never had so much fun dancing nor have they ever danced this much at a wedding!

My fiance and I hired Paul from Okanagan Dance Party after seeing him MC The Okanagan Wedding Expo back in 2019. Paul had lots of energy as he hosted the event and afterwards, I inquired with him at his booth. He offered a good price for what we were looking for so we hired him. My fiance and I ended up having to postpone the wedding due to COVID-19 and it was no problem rebooking with Paul.

A few weeks before our wedding, I had began contacting our vendors again to check in and get ready for our big day. I had waited nearly a week for Paul’s response. As a bride, there are so many moving parts in planning the big day. Paul’s lack of response added to my stress load. I ended up finding his number and calling him on his house phone to touch base. I felt like an inconvenience at times. Communication was challenging.

On the day of our wedding Paul was the DJ for both our ceremony and our reception. He played all the music that we had requested for our ceremony and it was picture perfect. Later, at the reception, Paul MC’ed the first part of our wedding before my two brothers took over. He brought energy and seemed to enjoy the MC portion. As the night went on, my husband and family started making song requests. We soon realized that Paul was working using CD’s and a limited iTunes library. He was unable to play much of the music that was requested despite the songs being Top 40 current pop hits. This was a huge disappointment for me and my husband!!! In 2022 we would not expect a DJ to have such limited music.

Despite this, he did play many of the hits that we had requested beforehand and the party was continuously hopping. Again, in planning a wedding, I would not think to have to ‘plan ahead’ more than a few reception dance songs. It would have been nice to be able to have more freedom to make song requests in the moment. I really hope moving forward that Paul is able to update his setup in order to play music that has been requested, especially by the bride and groom! Overall, I got what I expected for the price but wasn't blown away by any means.

We had an amazing time and a big part of that was our amazing DJ! He played music we requested to hear earlier in the night and played hits every generation would know and could boogie to later on and got almost everyone on the dance floor. As an MC he was informative and clear for guests. Would totally recommend his services

We timed our ceremony to the second and OKDP absolutely NAILED IT. The music was great all night, and when our MC was injured, he stepped up without hesitation and knocked the whole night out of the park.
