If you are looking for a Quality DJ that knows his stuff and is accommodating............MARK DOBRES is your guy!!! He was Fantastic, took extra meetings and calls. Was very pleasant every time & explained everything very well. :)

Our wedding was loads of fun, and a big reason for that was because of Gopher the Music. He had lots of great ideas to make our wedding something a little different, such as playing musical chairs to decide the order that tables would eat for our buffet style dinner. Everyone had a blast! The tone was set for the evening that was perfect for our particular crowd. Of course, we had some meetings to discuss this idea, among others. My wife and I probably weren't the easiest couple Mark has ever worked with. Between me being hard to get a hold of at times, and my wife changing her mind about certain ideas, it probably would've been understandable for Mark to get frustrated with us. It never happened. He was always quick to get back to me when I was looking to speak with him.

Another nice thing was his willingness to work with people involved in my wedding. Whether it was my parents, or my MC, Mark made himself accessible to the people around us. If you want more from your DJ than someone who comes in halfway through the night to play dance music, then Gopher the Music. Mark does all that and more. I can't recommend him strongly enough. Thanks again Mark, for being part of our special night!

Mark was amazing! He does not just play music. He has unique ways of doing everything like introducing the wedding party, getting the couple to kiss (instead of the glass clinking) and the garter toss. Unfortunately the breaker blew and the music went out, but Mark got everyone up and moving as soon as it was working again. Our wedding wouldn't have been half as fun without Gopher the Music.

We had our our wedding outside in a friends backyard.
Originally we had planned to just use a an iPod on our karaoke machine as we were scared that if we had a DJ it would create friction between the neighbors and us. Mark assured us he would do a great job and that the noise level would not bug them. He was right and to boot he stepped up and acted as our MC (we had not thought about that part) and made sure the wedding went smoothly.
It's hard to make my family and friends dance but somehow he managed it. I am so grateful for all his service and look forward to having him DJ for us again in the near future.
*FYI he has some REALLY great geeky/nerdy stuff which was awesome.

Mark was amazing! He went the extra mile to make our wedding perfect! He played the best music and everyone wouldn't stop dancing! He made my wedding very memorable!! Mark saved our wedding from disaster. When our original dj cancelled 2 days before our wedding he stepped up and made our day a huge success. He really means it when he says he makes things stress free. Even though he only had 48 hours to prepare he pulled off an absolute miracle for us. He knew just how to make everything perfect even with only 1 meeting with us and the music was great. All we can really say is thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding day perfect.

I couldn't be more dissatisfied with Mark. He was VERY unprofessional with his inappropriate advice, offending and upsetting our best man by asking inappropriate questions and by making a valued guest of ours uncomfortable by asking her to dance with him. His appointments were long and unstructured (almost entirely consisted of story upon story, rather then what the bride and groom wanted). But what REALLY erked me, was that he employed my videographer (a family-member, who I had a seperate arragement with) to use HIS camera instead of his own... then after the wedding I find out that all the footage from the DJ's camera was gone! When I asked the DJ what he was thinking, and how he thinks he has the right to mess around with all my arragments, he told me that my videographer's camera died (I recently discovered this was a lie, according to our videographer as well as another witness). Now we have NO footage of our wedding because Mark messed around all our arrangements! Like he somehow thinks he had the right to take over our entire wedding! I wasn't going to give him a bad review, but once I discovered he LIED to me, I've had it. He ruined a very importnant keepsake for us and I am so beyond dissappointed and even ANGRY at him for that.

These were just a few things that bothered us, there is much more where that came from.

Save your $1500 and find another DJ that will stick to his job. Trust me, you don't want a DJ that wants to "be more then a DJ".

I’m writing this review for the couple trying to decide on a very important decision regarding an integral part of your wedding day. My first suggestion would be to not underestimate the importance of who will be coordinating the sound/music aspect of a large event such as your wedding.

I let my wife take the lead on this area of planning and between herself and Mark, they did an amazing job! A major area of attention for us in planning our wedding was regarding the music/dance as most of what we remember as being the “fun” aspect of weddings has been dancing it up with family and friends. We wanted our wedding to be FUN. Mission accomplished, the major compliment people gave us regarding our wedding was how much fun it was.

Honestly, when I look back on memories of our wedding day and to how much fun it was, Mark you’re going to be in those memories as one of the awesome people involved in our day that made it very special. Mark also was our MC. Not only did he take on that role with short notice (sorry Mark) he actually took the time to get to know us. This made a huge difference as everything on our wedding day just flowed along like clockwork.

If you are looking for someone who knows what needs to be done on your wedding day in order for it to be a success, I wouldn’t hesitate at all recommending Mark (Gopher The Music Mobile DJ Service).

At the end of the night I was thanking Mark for going totally above and beyond for our wedding and he mentioned something to the effect of ‘ it’s not like we can just come back tomorrow and try it again’. This relates to my first point of finding someone who is experienced and enthusiastic about working with you to make your wedding a success.

Beyond my expectation- this DJ is so talented! Working with Mark was such a pleasure; his experience, passion and professionalism for what he does is exceptional. When you hire Mark (gopher the music mobile DJ service), he goes over and beyond to make your event successful. Your entire event will be so well coordinate, it's like having a wedding planner with out the extra cost. And best of all your guests will love him! He has a way of making everyone feel relaxed even before they start drinking. Our guests danced the night away with Mark our DJ, not to mention his great sense of humor through out the evening.
