Yuriko helped bring our vision to reality, but made it better than we could have imagined. We wanted an Alice in Wonderland/Mad Hatter/Afternoon Tea themed wedding….which is a lot to ask for…but she did it! It was extremely beautiful and we received a ton of compliments from our guests. Yuriko is also kind, and very responsive. In addition, she worked well with all of our vendors. Thank you for making our day perfect!

Yuriko and Erik did such an amazing job at transforming our venue from a darker space into an airy, bright, and romantic setting! They have incorporated ALL of our visions into the space, and especially the cherry blossom trees with the hanging wedding favour! They have made our day so special and so full of surprises and happiness. Words can't describe how TRULY AMAZING AND TALENTED they are!

It's crazy to see Yuriko and Erik only has 6 reviews, as they are absolutely amazing! Vintage Origami has won MULTIPLE awards, and they are absolutely well deserved. If you're going with them, you've probably already seen her work on Instagram, so you know what you'll be getting from regarding the quality of the decor. However, it is everything else that further elevates them to a top level vendor.

From the moment you meet them, you get a sense of warmth and genuine caring. They want to get to know who you are, and what you care about. They answered many questions along the way, always giving us the time that we need, and always with very warm and in depth answers.

From a decor standpoint, Yuriko probed the type of style and wedding we want. As we didn't know exactly what we want, just a general mood, she used it to create and materialize what we cannot express. When she works with you, she doesn't show you exactly what you'll have until the actual day (she does communicate with mood boards and shows us bits and pieces along the way, so don't worry!), because she loves to surprise her guests.

When we got to our reception, it was beyond what we could've dreamt of. Her vision and design was absolutely stunning. Every detail is taken into account: subtle things that we must've mentioned (without fully realizing we did), she had picked that up and addressed it; and of course, the decor was breathtaking. (And if you follow her on Insta, you'd also see how absolutely her dessert tables are!).

On the planning side of things, she was also absolutely fantastic. We had lots of questions, and she always answered everything in kind words and in detail. Furthermore, she is extremely well connected in the community, and she makes fantastic suggestions. We had a multi-day event, and when we weren't sure what to do about certain aspects after we'd done our research, we'd ask her, and her suggestions were always better than anything we'd research. She bills herself NOT as a wedding planner, but she helps you so much with suggestions and directions that you forget that sometimes! (that said, she doesn't do the actual coordinating, thus I guess why she emphasizes that she is NOT a wedding planner. :)

We cannot recommend her enough. We were initially a bit hesitant given her being higher priced than some of the other decorators we interviewed, but after our meeting, we just couldn't imagine choosing anyone else. And after the wedding, we were even more sure she was the right choice: we felt extremely lucky she was our decorator, as she didn't only do the decor, but helped us along the way, helping us make our wedding weekend even better than we dreamt.

Yuriko was absolutely awesome! From start to finish she did a phenomenal job bringing my wedding vision to life. Initially she was intimidated with my bright color scheme (magenta/radiant orchid and apple green) but she pulled off such a wonderful job. I really appreciate her stepping out of her comfort zone and helping me make my wedding day decor so BOMB! Thanks Yuriko and the crew at Vintage Origami!

Yuriko was such a pleasure to work with! She has such a creative eye and was able to bring my vision to reality. Vintage Origami has such an amazing selection of vintage items. The best part of going with Vintage Origami was that I did not have to stress about the decorations the day before or the day of my wedding - I felt confident that Yuriko would make our venue look even more amazing and she did!

The rentals from Vintage Origami made the decor for our wedding (May 28, 2011) extra special! I really wanted to have vintage blue mason jars for ourcenterpieces but they were at least $6 each to buy in lots of eBay. So I was super happy to find out that Yuriko had a whole bunch for me to use! She had a beautiful old window frame that had mirrors replacing the glass - I used this to present my seating chart, one table per pane. The pièce de résistance was definitely the 70's tandem bike that we rented. We used it for our after-ceremony photos (very romantic) and we even brought it to our reception for out DIY photobooth. We put all of our photo props in a vintage piece of luggage. Yuriko was so helpful with putting together ideas and suggestions for how to make all of these small details make the room and our celebration look elegant. Yuriko is so easy and professional to work with, and she did everything to help me. Her and her husband Erik also did an amazing stop-motion engagement video and slideshow for us to play at our reception. People were gushing about it for days. I can't wait to see my professional photos when they are done, all of our Vintage Origami details popping out everywhere! Thank you so much :)

I cannot say enough about Yuriko and her amazing team. Yuriko helped me plan the decor for over a year, she was so patient and her responses were timely. The end result exceeded all expectations and I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to work with Vintage Origami.
