Located in Calgary, Alberta, Southern Alberta Pioneer Memorial Building is a venue that specializes in providing a great locations for celebrating weddings and other special events in the area. This historic builiding is situated on top of the escarpment above the Elbow River near Rideau. You can hold your wedding ceremony and reception in one ranch style and historic wedding venue!

Facilities and capacity

The facilities found at this unique venue include the Memorial Building which offers two floors for entertaining your wedding guests. This building has a capacity of 100+ seated guests with a gas fireplace upstairs.
The Main floor can be used for a cocktail hour and also includes a complete kitchen.

Breathtaking and Iconic

SAP was the most stunning venue to have our wedding. The grounds were impeccable, the views were fantastic and the facility was iconic. Gabrielle’s attention to detail on the entire site was extraordinary. She was very responsive to any request we had and always made time to meet with us at the site when requested.

All of our guests raved about the property as it is truly a hidden gem. We would highly recommend this as a venue for an amazing wedding experience!

Beautiful venue!!

The venue was gorgeous and perfect for our outdoor wedding. Building manager was super easy to work with and so accommodating!

Beautiful rustic venue and spacious outdoor area

This venue is a hidden gem in the heart of Calgary, overlooking the Elbow river. My husband and I enjoyed working with Gabrielle, the venue coordinator - she was very hardworking, organized, funny and kind. Very flexible with us in light of COVID and all the disruption.

Amazing hidden gem 💎

Gabrielle the hall manager is FANTASTIC!
From start to finish she was able to answer any and all questions, and we were lucky to have had our wedding here.

It's a true hidden gem in the middle of Calgary. Included a great green space, deck and upper and lower hall.

Beautiful location and venue

Gabrielle was so fantastic to work with. This is a beautiful venue full of rustic charm.

We had a tent outside which made for a lovely indoor outdoor celebration. We love this spot!!
