Emmanuel United Church is a tranquil wedding venue nestled in the heart of uptown Waterloo, Ontario. When your big day finally arrives, invite your friends and family to celebrate in this intimate and romantic sanctuary. With outstanding acoustics and room for both ceremonies and receptions, it will set the stage for endless happy memories.

Facilities and Capacity

At Emmanuel United Church, you'll have a choice of three event spaces:

• The Hearth Room is perfect for intimate gatherings of up to 50 guests for a ceremony, or a cosy meal.
• The Fellowship Hall can accommodate up to 200 guests for a ceremony, or up to 120 guests for meal
• The Sanctuary can accomodate up to 250 guests on two levels.

All three rooms have plenty of natural light and a rustic aesthetic that blends white with warm wood tones.

As an example, after saying 'I do,' in our Sanctuary, you can take a stroll to Waterloo Park, which provides a lovely setting for outdoor pictures while your guests enjoy the reception in the Fellowship Hall. You'll have everything you need for an unforgettable setting.

The Fellowship Hall offers an attached commercial kitchen and long tables while the Hearth Room has a smaller kitchen and tables that seat six people each. Tables and furniture can be arranged to suit your needs.

As a venue-only rental, the bar and cuisine are at your discretion. The sanctuary and reception area may be decorated as desired to ensure a unique and memorable event.

In the weeks leading up to your big day, the team at Emmanuel United Church will ensure every detail is considered. They invite you to decorate the space how you like, from classic elegance to whimsical and bohemian. Our minister will also collaborate with you to design the ceremony of your dreams. This church venue is wheelchair accessible, and parking lot and street parking are available.
