Time goes by slowly in Fraser River Lodge. This pristine venue is located near Agassiz, British Columbia and at the foothills of the spectacularCascade Mountains. The lodge is an idyllic venue for weddings of all sizes indoor and outside. A more private venue is hard to find as you will have the 18 lush acres to take full advantage of.
Facilities and capacity
The indoor wedding hall can cater for up to 200 wedding guests. The lodge deck fits 100 and the rustic field accommodates 200, while the lodge dining room seats 40 people. A special events tent is also offered for outdoor events with capacity for up to 200 people.
2-200 guests can be accommodated both inside and out. A private chef with custom menus is included and a fully licensed bar is offered. On-site hair and make-up is available. Fraser River Lodge is such a beautiful venue! The view is amazing and makes a great backdrop for photos. The venue itself has a rustic feel but looks new and is very clean. We booked out the venue and the outpost house next door for 2 nights and our guests had the time of their ... View more lives. We had so many compliments of how much fun it was, what a great beautiful venue it is and the food was excellent and very fresh. Also it was very nice that once we booked the place then it is solely ours to use which made for a great intimate wedding with our guests. The staff at the Fraser River Lodge were also super friendly and accommodating, especially Wendy and Jodie who helped co-ordinate our wedding. They were very responsive, gave great suggestions and had all the details about the venue on hand. They are very experienced and go above and beyond to ensure your wedding runs smoothly the entire time. We can't thank every one of the staff at the Fraser River Lodge enough for making our day truly special! We would have our wedding there again in a heartbeat and recommend staying the 2 nights to really soak up all the beauty of nature.

Fraser River Lodge is a beautiful venue. Even in the rain! When we went out to see it the first time, my husband told me I would be hard pressed to find somewhere else that he would like as much (so that settled that!). The lodge itself is well-built and feels very new. The ... View more mountains/river are such a great backdrop. The food was incredible. The bar service was perfect. Working with Wendy/Jodie was wonderful. I never felt like I was being a naggy bride. They always replied to everything so quickly and had very helpful responses. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. They let us bring our trailer up so our dogs had somewhere to sleep (the lodge rooms aren't pet friendly, we didn't have a dog-sitter and we wanted our dog to be the ring bearer - and they were so accommodating!). One of my bridesmaids and I were able to stay in the lodge the night before (Friday night) so we were on-site bright and early for hair/makeup too. So grateful for that! Overall, our guests loved it and kept saying it was such a perfect venue for our wedding :) There were a few areas of opportunity of course but don't let them dissuade you! We would 100% have our wedding here all over again :) -Dessert Bar: A large number of our guests (including the bride/groom/immediate families) had no idea the dessert bar was put out so they didn't get any dessert (and we had opted for the dessert bar instead of a traditional wedding cake). It would've been helpful if someone had told our DJ so he could make an announcement or if the coordinators told my husband and I - or set aside a plate for us. I also wish they didn't take it away so quickly (or again, make an announcement that they had to clear it down so people could load up plates). -Wedding Day-Of Planner: I know there is a ton to do on the wedding day but throughout the process, I was assured I didn't need a wedding planner because the venue would do everything for us. I really wish I had one on the day of to attend to the bridal party. Jodie/Wendy were amazing and super busy doing all the other things but when we were in hair/makeup, there was nobody to help get our lunch (and the boys' lunch) out of the cooler, or to run up to grab us coffee or help the photographers when they needed a less ugly hanger for dress photos. Thankfully my mum came early so she could be our little helper running around like a madwoman. Wendy did pop in maybe 2 or 3 times but we really needed a more full-time presence (or someone we could text to come by if we needed something). -Ceremony walk-through: Because this is in Agassiz and members of our wedding party had small kids, it was too hard to arrange a rehearsal/rehearsal dinner. We were told we'd get a quick walkthrough before things began but we didn't. It would've made things less stressful if someone had told the groom/groomsmen where to stand and the bridesmaids etc. We winged it and it was fine but anything to alleviate anxiety is crucial especially when we set expectations with the bridal party that we'd get a quick briefing. The total cost below is a guess (it's been a few months now). It includes our wedding size (107 people which were 93 adults, 15 children), lodge accommodation and bar tab.
