About Fraser River Lodge
Time goes by slowly in Fraser River Lodge. This pristine venue is located near Agassiz, British Columbia and at the foothills of the spectacular Cascade Mountains. The lodge is an idyllic venue for weddings of all sizes, both indoor and outdoor. A more private venue is hard to find as you will have the 18 lush acres to take full advantage of. This exclusive venue can be yours on the big day!

The indoor Hall can accommodate up to 200 wedding guests, while the Lounge seats 35 people for dinner. For ceremonies, the Deck can accommodate 100 guests, the Field allows for 200 guests, and their outdoor Marquee Tent is also offered for a rainy day option with a capacity of up to 200 people. Two fully licensed bars are available with no additional bartending fees. On-site hair and make-up is available for additonal cost.
Their Red Seal Executive Chef Bill Schildpatt offers two seasonal buffet menus and one year-round buffet menu to choose between and has been known to be very accommodating regarding dietary restrictions, and menu alterations. Amazing experience with FRL!
We have nothing but good things to say about Fraser River Lodge. The staff from the time we booked to the day of the event were absolutely amazing. They were organized, friendly and beyond helpful. Our guests are still raving about the buffet dinner, which had lots of options that suited everyones needs (including those with food allergies). The lodge rooms were cozy, and they provided a nice touch of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to the bridge and grooms suite the wedding night. And the view was of course spectacular!Sent on 19/09/2019
Fraser River Lodge's reply:Traci, thanks for posting such an awesome review. All of us here at the lodge had such a fun time working your wedding. It was so nice that you booked the lodge for 2 days, it gave us all a chance to get to know your group a little better, especially those crazy Australians and Bobsledders!! Congrats again to you and Lucas!!

Excellent value for elopement package!
Me and my husband got married here using their elopement package, adding a few guests for dinner. The value we got for the price we paid was outstanding. The location is beautiful and the service is great, and the coordinators are awesome too, and kept in contact with me the whole year leading up to the wedding itself. I booked the venue before even seeing it in person and if you are considering the same, don't worry, it's even more beautiful in person than the pictures show!!!!Sent on 19/06/2018
Fraser River Lodge's reply:Thanks so much for your kind words Natasha. I'm thrilled that your wedding was everything you hoped it would be. Congrats to you and Trevor!! Come back a visit us again.

The Fraser River Lodge was my first and only choice when picking a venue for our wedding. We wanted an outdoor, rustic setting and the Lodge fit the bill to a T. Because we live in Vancouver, it was not always convenient for us to drive out to Agassiz to visit the venue. But Wendy and Jodie made it so seamless and easy to communicate that I felt so secure in our decision to have it out of town. The food, the setting, the accommodations, the price, the jaw-dropping backdrop, even the bison - they were all perfect. I couldn't have wished for a better venue for our special day.Sent on 30/04/2018
Fraser River Lodge's reply:Samantha thank you so much for your fantastic review! We had so much fun getting to know you and your new husband. What a beautiful day you had! Hoping your first year of marriage is just as special as your wedding day and looking forward to a future visit ;)

Absolutely Incredible Experience!
Where do we begin with how amazing Wendy, Jodie, the staff, and the owners are at the Fraser Valley Lodge! Right from the moment that we emailed Wendy, we were impressed with how professional and prompt she was in her response. She answered all our questions and provided additional information we hadn’t even asked for which was very beneficial and helpful to us. From the first moment we went to the Fraser River Lodge on July 22, 2017, we felt such peace and happiness. We knew that this was the place where we wanted to get married and those were the feelings upon which we wanted to start our married life. It was the only venue we looked at and truly felt no need to look elsewhere. It was perfect. We set our date for December 29, 2017 and started our planning. With every question that we had, Wendy and Jodie had a plethora of answers. They took the time to get to know us and what our vision was to help us create our magical day. Fast forward to December 28th, and upon our arrival to set up in the wild winter storm that Mother Nature was unleashing on the Fraser Valley, we were greeted by the owner and staff frantically clearing snow and trying to stay ahead of the freezing rain. That impressed us so very much as it is not too often you see the owners of an establishment doing the grunt work, let alone in freezing temperatures. Wendy greeted us immediately to go over details and show us which rooms we would be using before we unloaded our stuff and started setting up for the wedding. At any given moment, we could ask any of the staff members a question and they would be able to provide the answer. There was no “oh you need to go find so-and-so”. We were so blown away by the knowledge, helpfulness, and efficiency of everyone who worked there as it made for so much less stress of having to run around to find the right people who had the answers. Everyone was so happy to help, and it only added to the fantastic experience we had. We were able to set everything up we needed to and enjoy our rehearsal ceremony and dinner that evening. The excitement was growing exponentially just as the snow and freezing rain accumulated exponentially outside. When we woke up in the morning, there was a winter wonderland to greet us. For a brief moment we thought the storm would hold off, alas, that hope disappeared as quickly as it appeared. The snow and freezing rain joined forces with a wind that was such a deep level of unbearable cold to create a scene that was indescribable. Power went off and on again several times over as we got ready for the wedding and put the finishing touches on things. Guests were calling saying they could not make it as trees were down in all directions as well as the freeway was shut down at one point due to downed power lines. Things were rapidly changing, and they were out of our control, so we took the attitude of “we have everyone here that we need to get married, and so we are excited to be getting married”. Wendy was constantly checking in with us to make sure that we were as comfortable as possible. Behind the scenes, we can only imagine what was happening to ensure everything went off without a hitch, all while not knowing if the power was going to stay on for the whole day. Even with only half the guests, we still managed to have the most wonderful wedding. As cold as it was outside, it was twice as warm and cozy inside. Everything that was supposed to happen happened, and the weather did not stop us from celebrating and enjoying the day. Wendy and Jodie were amazing all day and night, ensuring that we were happy, comfortable, and that all that they could do was done. They are such an incredible team, and are so good at getting to know their brides and grooms, that even though they did not receive our email on how the reception centerpieces were to be done until after the reception was well underway due to the power outages knocking out the email system, they managed to decorate the tables exactly how we wanted sheerly based on their experience and what items were there for the decorations. Their guess was bang on! They also used some of the items from the ceremony that we hadn’t even thought about incorporating into the reception decor to create an even warmer atmosphere. The fact they were able to work their magic and just let us relax and not worry about centerpiece setup and reception decor, was a godsend! We were more than happy to have them be in charge of those items as they know their process inside and out for converting the ceremony space into a fabulous reception area. We truly had zero stress that day because Wendy, Jodie, and their team were beyond phenomenal with taking so much off our plates, which in turn allowed us to enjoy every moment of our special day. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, we felt such gratitude to everyone there for making our wedding more than just an adventure in the winter weather, they made it such a magical memory. Everything from the venue to the staff to the food was perfection. Both our rehearsal and wedding reception meals were out of this world delicious and we have been searching for reasons to go back and have more food! All the guests raved about the variety and attention to detail with the meals. Nothing was spared by the kitchen to present a feast to us. We ate like kings and queens!
Wendy and Jodie continue to be so wonderful to deal with as our photographer asked if we would be able to come back and do a follow-up photo shoot as we were not able to venture around the venue due to all the snow and ice that we dealt with the day of our wedding, and they have said they would be more than happy to help us make that happen. Again, top notch professionalism and kindness radiates from these women.
You will not be disappointed one iota if you choose to go with having your wedding, or event, at the Fraser River Lodge. In the face of a horrendous winter storm, we were so beyond grateful and happy with our decision to have our wedding at The Lodge as they went above and beyond to make it magical and stress free for us!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Fraser River Lodge's reply:Thank you so much Laura & James!! It is true, we did have a few challenges that day, but the show must go on, right? It was such a pleasure getting to know you two. Your happiness really rubbed off on all of us and made us want to work harder and go above and beyond. You are an true example of what clients should focus on....getting married, come hell or high waters and in this case, ice storms:)

We absolutely loved having our wedding at Fraser River Lodge! Both indoor and outdoor ceremony locations are beautiful. Wendy and her team are responsive, professional, and very accommodating to our needs. They were able to make changes to the menu, and accommodate last minute changes to our guest number. Everyone absolutely raved about the food; it is by far the best food we have had at a wedding! Overall FRL made our wedding day so amazing and unforgettable.Sent on 29/09/2019
