Engagement Photo Shoot

Kendra, on September 30, 2019 at 18:15 Posted in Before the wedding 0 10
I got engaged in June, is it weird to have a photo shoot in a pumpkin patch? Fall/pumpkins don't really have any significance to us... Maybe I'm just overthinking the idea 😂

We did this but in reverse. Our wedding will be in the Fall so we wanted summer engagement photos. Well the intention was spring but spring seems to not exist for us in Calgary anymore so it ended up being more summer. Anyway it was nice! Now we will have two seasons of nice photos Smiley smile

A pumpkin patch is a cute idea! Fall presents so many oppourtunities for great pictures, so go for it!

    Not weird!!!

Makes sense even - that way your engagement photo's and wedding photo's aren't in the same season! More variety Smiley smile

That's what I would do if we had gotten engaged in Fall (because we are having a Fall wedding). You can pick a season based off when you got engaged, when you first met, when you first became "official", when you will be getting married, to your favourite season as a couple! ANY reason is a good reason even if it's because "it's pretty" outside in fall. Which it is... hence my wedding date Smiley tongue

You can definitely do engagement photos in any season you want!

We got engaged and getting married in October, but also did our engagement photos in October (since it worked out). But you do you!

I don't think it's weird. The colours will look great. I think engagement pictures are separate from the wedding theme.

Not weird at all! I wanted our engagement pictures to be different than our wedding ones. So we did summer pictures with light colours and our wedding is very fall colours!
You do what you guys want! It doesn’t have to match at all

I don’t think that’s weird at all. You can whatever you like for your shoot, it doesn’t have to match your wedding season or look
