The cornerstone of this Gothic-style church was laid in 1881. It was described as “one of the finest church buildings
east of Toronto” and is now where hundreds of couples have started thier next adventure together since being lovingly restored in 2017. Millbrook Cathedral, located in beautiful Peterborough county, no longer operates as a church, but strictly as a non-denominational venue for Couples Madly in Love. This unique event venue houses a combination of classic and modern features unlike anywhere else. Warm and welcoming, with a host of facilities and amenities, it is everything you can want for an unforgettable celebration.

Facilities and Capacity
To start your day at this venue, you get ready in our dressing rooms. For your ceremony, you have a choice of three locations. You can exchange vows in the main chapel beneath a gothic archway with stained glass windows in the background. For a softer feel, you can tie the knot in a forest ceremony, or for smaller events in front of our stone fireplace. After your ceremony, you can explore the ground with your photographer, taking advantage of the endless photo opportunities while your guests mingle over cocktails. Later, you can reunite with up to 150 loved ones in the ballroom for a delicious meal. This charming space exudes a rustic-chic atmosphere with unique and historic features all around.

I am a certified planner through the Wedding Planning Institute of Canada, owner of Alfresco Wedding Planner, and Event Manager for Millbrook Cathedral.
My couples are immediately drawn to my warm, calm demeanor – I can put even the most anxious couple at ease with a friendly smile and ability to keep couples focused on the big picture while handling all of the details. My goal is to exude positivity, and for you to have a stress-free planning process and a flawless wedding day. We’ll get to know each other well throughout this process!
Samantha is Millbrook Cathedral’s Venue Manager responsible for the perfect guests experience and ensuring all the behind-the-scenes production of your wedding is perfect. Anything you or your guests need on your wedding day will be dealt with quickly and with a smile! She exudes efficiency and friendliness, and her goal is to make sure everyone is enjoying our beautiful space, safely and happily. You’ll get to know her well on your wedding day as she multi-tasks between setting up the venue to sending you off at the end of the night with a bottle of champagne.
Hi there! I'm Chantel, Millbrook Cathedral’s Bar Manager and responsible for all things bar related. I've been managing bars and restaurants for years and knows it all from mixing the perfect drink, how to handle your groomsmen, and the applicable Ontario Laws that apply to alcohol consumption. You’ll get to know meabout 3—4 months before your wedding on your Bar Call where you’ll discuss your special requests, any concerns you have around specific guests and the ins and outs of the package you choose. I have a knack for becoming everyone’s best friend and is a hugger!
