Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery is a family owned estate in St. Davids, Niagara on the Lake, farmed by the same family for more than 155 years. Weddings here are built around the kitchen. Our executive chef and culinary team cook from the estate gardens and Niagara's growers, and every menu is written season to season.
The property sits on 34 acres of vineyard on the St. Davids Bench, with the escarpment behind and the vines running to the treeline. Ceremonies take place on the lawn, dinner moves into the Event Centre or the barrel cellar, and the light at the end of the day does most of the work for your photographer. The estate is wheelchair accessible throughout.
Facilities and Capacity
The estate offers several distinct spaces that can be used on their own or in sequence across the day.
- Ravine Event Centre, seating up to 250 guests for a plated dinner, with panoramic vineyard views and room for a dance floor
- Event Centre Terrace, 2,000 square feet, covered against weather, ideal for cocktail hour or an outdoor dinner service
- Ceremony Lawn, set among the vines with the escarpment behind
- Barrel Cellar, a private underground room seating up to 60 for intimate dinners and rehearsal evenings
- Woodruff Parlor and Garden, available for smaller gatherings, welcome receptions, and next day brunches
Cuisine
Food is the reason most couples choose Ravine, so we treat it that way.
Every wedding menu is developed directly with our culinary team and tasted before you commit. We cook seasonally because the estate gardens and our Niagara growers dictate what is worth serving in June versus October. Wine pairings come from our own cellar, poured by the people who made it.

Dream come true!
We have loved Ravine for a long time and thinking about having our wedding there was something that was very important to us. We met with Katrina who immediately made us feel at ease and well cared for. Katrina walked us through every detail of the day and everything the venue could offer. The venue itself is breathtaking and there is minimal extras that are needed to enhance the space. We chose fall to to highlight the huge picture windows of the event space with vast views of the vineyards and foliage. We had our ceremony and cocktail hour outside which our guests loved and everyone could not stop talking about the food! It was exceptional and the Ravine staff served with attention and care We can’t thank Katrina, Ajay and the staff enough for making our day perfect and memorable! With thanks, Marco & Amanda

A wedding to remember
We had planned a wedding in 2020 with Ravine, however the covid pandemic hit and we were inevitably affected. Through all the set backs and disappointment, Ravine was extremely easy to work with rescheduling us not once but twice due to all the government restrictions. We we’re so fortunate to pick Ravine as our wedding venue, Katrina was our event coordinator and kept in contact with us throughout the two years delay. She was easy to work with and facilitated all the venue relationships with our vendors. Working with Ravine and Katrina resulted in a perfect wedding day that we will never forget. Everything was so beautiful in the event hall, along with the backdrop of the vineyard. The food served was world class, and the service throughout everything was even better. Everyone was extremely accommodating and we loved every minute of our experience. Thank you Katrina and Ravine for hosting our family and friends. We will be back!

Rustic Elegance in a Winery Wonderland
 Choosing the wedding venue is one of the first to-do list items for a newly engaged couple. Getting engaged right after the Christmas holiday, we knew we wanted to say I do within the next calendar year in the beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake region. While it’s possible to plan and execute a wedding of up to 150 guests within 10 months, attempting to do so in an area that is limited by the seasons makes this task slightly more difficult. After visiting numerous NOTL wineries, we realized that our desired November date would limit the available options due to available indoor space. Cue our saving grace – Ravine Vineyard! We called in January 2019 to inquire about their November 2019 availability, and were pleasantly surprised to hear that their brand new, indoor event center had broken ground and was booking events beginning in November 2019. If that’s not serendipity, what is? With only a concrete foundation and blue prints to show, we took a leap of faith and signed on to be the first wedding in the new facility a short 10 months away. This would give any couple cause for panic, but the Ravine team ensured that we had as many details as possible along the way, including sneak previews of the artist renderings and building finishes. Katrina Krawtchuk, Ravine’s esteemed Wedding & Events Coordinator, was in constant communication with us, a crucial point as we were planning the wedding from outside of the country. She answered our numerous rounds of questions, and worked with us to bring the entire vision to life. She was also extremely helpful in cross-coordination with our other vendors, making their jobs easier when onsite for the big day.

With November in Canada comes the possibility of mother nature making her own decisions – Ravine was kind enough to leave the tent up from their summer weddings to give us a plan B option for the outdoor ceremony. Inside the venue, no detail was left to chance. A coat check greets guests to make their stay as comfortable as possible, and the main space brings the outdoors in with sweeping views of the gorgeous vines through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Our guests praised the phenomenal food and wine served, and the rustic wedding cake and late-night snacks rounded out the evening, leaving no guest hungry. While we knew Ravine has held countless weddings and events on property, being the first in the new space proved that they have the process down to a science. The staff was gracious, professional, and accommodating. We are so happy with how everything turned out, and look forward to the many visits back to this special place for years to come!

As soon as we visited Ravine and met Colleen (Ravine's wedding coordinator) we knew this was the venue for us. We immediately felt completely confident that she could deliver on the wedding of our dreams. And we were right!
The venue is gorgeous, the food was incredible and working with Colleen was a dream.
She was so attentive. She answered each and every question I had and responded to emails almost immediately, and would follow up on anything she didn't have an answer to right away.
I had a very specific vision for the look and feel of the day, and Colleen listened carefully and made it all happen flawlessly.
We heard amazing feedback from our guests about the delicious food. The dinner was incredible and the s'mores bar at the bonfire was a huge hit!
I'm an incredibly detail oriented person, and every detail was perfect - down to our customized placesettings and chocolate peanut butter flavoured cake (delish!)
Much more than a wedding coordinator, Colleen went out of her way to support us and provide kind words during a difficult time for our family. She even talked me down from a ledge when the weather called for rain.
