Having Uswanky events as our wedding planner made the seemingly impossible achievable! She came through for us in so many ways, despite restrictions, constant changes and depressing conditions. Based of the forecast there was going to be rain and snow on the day of out outdoor wedding. We had to change the date 2 days to the wedding. This wedding planner extraordinaire was able to rapidly convert our wedding rehearsal day to the main event. She handled all the vendors, and it was an amazing day for us. Aunty Meg like I fondly call her was amazing. Working with her to plan my wedding was just nothing short of a blessing especially during the period of a global pandemic. She was always very professional and timely during meetings. Her attention to detail is such a gift that helped me go to bed reassured that I was in excellent hands. She was also so flexible, consistent, understanding and reassuring with her words.
Being of Nigerian descent, I had to have a 2 day wedding ceremony and as you can imagine, doing that during a pandemic posed a huge challenge. I’m so proud to say both of my wedding ceremonies turned out so beautifully, well planned and organized while adhering to COVID guidelines. She worked relentlessly to bring my vision to life and laid all my worries to rest. She also worked so well with the vendors.

We hired Magdalene to coordinate the day of the wedding. She went above and beyond her tasks. She followed up with us early in the month and a few days before, kept vendors, bridal party, and us informed, on schedule, and stress free. She gave us great tips for improving the function on the wedding day and was hands on throughout. She took initiative to beautifully setup decorations we had left the day before and to remind us of important program details. She really stepped up to the plate to ensure the wedding day went off without a hitch and we are so impressed and thankful!U'Swanky Events's reply:

Efficient, Elegant, Dedicated, Professional
We could not have pulled off our wedding in the time frame that we did if not for Magdalene. She had so many connections, from event venues, to decorators, to caterers, and even when we thought we had good ideas for service providers, she proposed even better ones!
You can rest assured that all the little details will be taken care of and that you will not need to worry because she's already thought of all your questions before you even ask.
Because we chose Magdalene as our wedding planner we had so much peace of mind. It was really worthwhile to have someone else managing the logistics of our wedding so that we didn't have to. It allowed us to enjoy the process and really prepare ourselves mentally for the big change that was about to occur in our lives.
We are both beyond grateful for all the hard work and dedication Magdalene put into making our day memorable. She was the brains behind the whole operation and that's the kind of person she is, always willing to step in with the knowledge and preparation needed to make any event go smoothly.

Meet the team
My name is Magdalene, known by my friends as Meg. I am a wife, and a mother of 4 beautiful and handsome children. My family is my inspiration and they constantly challenge me to achieve excellence in everything.
I have a degree in Urban planning from the University of Calgary, a diploma in practice management from Australia, a Microsoft certified engineering certificate from South Africa, and currently a certified member of the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada (WPIC).
My daughter Olejuru inspired the creation of U’Swanky Events Inc. After watching me organise one family and friend event after another, from anniversary celebrations, to weddings, to conferences, one day she said “Mum, you need to start a business in organizing events. You are so passionate about helping people make their day perfect, and sometimes you are even more excited about the event than the celebrant. You always go above and beyond what is asked”. I took her compliment seriously and began to contemplate the idea.
Some time in 2017, I was called by a friend to help with her daughter’s wedding.
Just after that, I got another call from a relative me to telling me she was engaged and had decided to wed in the fall of 2017. Her mother was livid because she felt the time was too short. I assuaged her fear and went to work immediately. Together with the couple we made their dream Fall wedding happen.
In all these, my joy knew no bounds as I helped plan and coordinate the event’s. I did not stop until I had successfully executed the weddings.
My greatest happiness is the satisfaction and broad smile that was permanently fixed on the face of the couples, and of course, their parents.
In addition to Weddings, I also have experience organizing events ranging from doctor’s conferences to anniversary celebrations and ceremony.
After continuously finding myself involved in planning and coordinating events, my daughter’s sincere comment reactivated my long-lost love and passion for event planning. I am a wedding and event enthusiast, passionate about weddings, and yes, having a good party! I can take your dream and transform it into a reality for you. I am devoted to meticulously planning and coordinating all the events I am given, whether big or small, whether a wedding or a milestone event, whether a conference or a birthday.
