When I decided to marry my wife, I had no idea how to hold a wedding event. So I contacted Carmen, and her professional skills and friendly recommendations impressed me. Then I started to search online and found "Devoted To You." I went through all their website and social media, and the pictures did attract me a lot.
During the wedding preparation, she shows me her well-organized budget planning and quick action in communicating with all vendors. Even though the timeframe for the preparation was short, she did an excellent job and had strong organized talent.
Carmen and Queenie are all excellent, kind, professional, attentive, and on point, answering emails, calls, changes and concerns. You all made my wedding beautiful and more than what I expected!

If you are looking for someone who is responsive, responsible, and who will work hard to make sure no details are overlooked, you will not regret bringing Carmen on to be your wedding or event planner. We hired Carmen to be our wedding planner immediately after our civil ceremony back in October 2020. Fast forward two years, two delays, and one baby later, Carmen delivered a spectacular wedding celebration with our family and friends in the summer of 2022. Throughout the two years leading up to the celebration, Carmen kept in touch with us and kept my husband and I on track with all the elements that required attention and progression.
I am especially grateful that Carmen was able to introduce amazing vendors across a variety of price points during the process, it is so important as budget begin to accumulate that you have a trusted advisor to guide you through vendor selection and helping manage expectations for the quality of service at various price points.

My husband and I knew we wanted a wedding planner that was experienced and able to guide us through the process. We hired Carmen and her team for the 8 weeks leading up to our wedding and we are SO glad that we did. Carmen was phenomenal - she was extremely responsive (typically responded within 48 hours), gave us excellent advice throughout the process (on topics beyond what was officially contracted in the 8 weeks) from design to budget, and helped us flag potential issues we didn't even consider.

I really can’t say enough positive things about Carmen and her team! We hired Carmen for her month-of coordination services and it was the best decision! I woke up on my wedding day feeling so calm and present because I had so much confidence in Carmen to ensure the day ran smoothly - which it did! From constant communication in the weeks leading up to the wedding, pulling together our day of schedule, coordinating all of our vendors to even helping source last minute decor items, we were so so impressed and had so much fun with Carmen and team on our actual wedding day. Someone to hold your hand and guide you throughout the process
Carmen was introduced to us by our friend Mike who worked with her on his own wedding. We decided to go with the full package especially since we do not live in Toronto. Our wedding could not be successful without Carmen. Highly recommended her for the following reasons:
1) Carmen is well connected with venues and has great expertise in their location, ambience, packages, etc...
2) Vendors. Turned out you need more than you think! From photographer to dance floor designer! Carmen helped us from setting up meetings with them before wedding, to coordinating with them especially on the day off
3) Carmen is an experienced planner so you can feel safe that she can handle the emergencies ( and yes there will be!) on your wedding day

Carmen, will help with your wedding planning process
When we first started wedding planning. The first thing we thought of was hiring a wedding planner. We googled top 3 wedding planners in the GTA and DevotedToYou was the only wedding planning company who personally responded in a genuine and timely manner.
We first met Carmen in January 2019 and my husband and I felt an immediate connection as
she stood by us until we finally said our I Dos in April 2022 because COVID-19 delayed our wedding two times!
Appreciative of this connection as Carmen was able to help us re-organize and re-book all of our existing vendors each and every time we changed our wedding date.
Due to the nature of COVID-19 my husband and I didn’t even know if we would have our wedding so naturally, we would email Carmen every chance we got and she was so diligent, reassuring, and patient with us. Not to mention she is sensible, fair, and has an optimistic attitude.
What also kept me at ease during the whole wedding process was this amazing google doc spreadsheet that Carmen created. Every detail to names and telephone numbers of the wedding party + wedding vendors, payment schedules, timing of events, etc. It was immaculate!
On the day of our wedding everything went smoothly. Carmen took a video of my husband and I’s first look and I honestly tear up every time I watch it. It’s one of my favourite videos of the day and I am grateful she captured that moment for us.

Dream Wedding Achieved
We met with 2 other wedding planners and ultimately decided on Carmen because of experience and the connection we felt. Thankful for that connection because COVID delayed our wedding 1.5 years and Carmen was incredible in re-booking / re-organizing the wedding twice.
Initially, I was against a wedding planner. "I have planned parties before, how hard can this be?" Having been through it now, I am thankful that we got Carmen. There are so many details involved and decisions to make, that I would not have thought of. Carmen was always available for any questions that my wife and I had. Carmen also has cultivated strong relationships with key wedding vendors (photographer, videographer, florist/decor etc) and was able leverage those relationships to help us achieve my wife's dream wedding.
We have since referred Carmen to two other couples that were extremely pleased with their weddings as well.
If you are getting married: 1. Get a wedding planner / day of coordinator at the very least. 2. Hire Carmen. We are incredibly grateful for Carmen's hardwork to make our wedding a success.

Devoted to You Review 2021
I Highly recommend working with Devoted to You for your upcoming wedding! Carmen planned our wedding for an original date in 2020 and again for 2021 due to postponement. She is extremely accommodating for individuals who work a busy schedule and aren’t available during most work hours. She was always reachable by phone, text and in person. My Husband wanted a planner we could trust to stay on top of expenditures and Carmen was extremely detail oriented in creating sheets and tracking vendor proposals so that we ensured we stayed within our budget. Our day was executed seamlessly due to Carmen’s experience and knowledge of the wedding industry as well as her close relationship with other vendors. Our wedding was on schedule and extremely stress free thanks to Carmen’s help.
