Day of Wedding Coordinator is a wedding planning service based in Toronto, serving GTA, Hamilton, Niagara and beyond. Maleila is the creative lead, and it is her priority to ensure your big day runs as smoothly as possible.

Her clients hire her and her amazing team to manage the behind the scene logistics, last minute preparations and styling components that take place on the day of their wedding so that their weddings are seamlessly and beautifully orchestrated. This includes decor setup and teardown coordination, running local errands, family photo triage assistance, managing your guests, vendors and timelines, being the point of contact for all inquiries and/or all of the above.

Services Offered

Their day of coordination service, also known as "month of" coordination or event management is ideal for couples who have done most of the planning themselves (i.e. sourcing vendors, choosing a location, creating a theme, etc) and only require expert help leading up to and on the day of their wedding to ensure their vision are executed, perfectly. The Maleila & Co team will guide you through the many details that require attention on your wedding day so that absolutely nothing is missed.

Best money you’ll spend for your wedding

Listen you may think “what do I need a day of coordinator for”… that was my husbands thought process too — until he saw Maleila on the day of & everything she handled. My husband said to me “Wow, I actually don’t know what we would’ve done without her” and you know it’s major if a guy notices lol!

Maleila is absolutely incredible to work with from start to finish. She takes care of everything so effortlessly, leaving the bride and groom to actually enjoy their day!

My wedding rockstar

If you’re considering hiring Day of Wedding Coordinator for your wedding, JUST DO IT. I can’t recommend them enough (and i have already referred 2 friends!) My wedding day was a dream (relaxed and so pretty) . Maleila and her team understood my vision (including flower, decor and rentals) and executed it. Thanks for everything! One Vendor You Cannot Do Without!

Right from the very beginning, the first call with Maleila, we felt such a sense of calm and were confident that the services we would receive would be a great fit for us. Maleila was very thorough with what their services were and how they could assist to make the wedding planning and day of the wedding the least stressful and the most fun.
When we were introduced to Mel, we were impressed right away. She was very personable, upfront about how she worked, how the months leading up to the wedding would go, and was very approachable about any questions or concerns we had. Mel was an absolute joy to work with! So full of life, easy going, and professional!
Mel was extremely helpful with planning the timeline of our wedding and decor set up as we were uncertain what would work best for our day. The week before the wedding we had some tension with one of our vendors and Mel stepped in and was there for us, providing exceptional service. On the wedding day, all the planning came to fruition! Mel kept things running smoothly, working very well with our venue coordinators, and checked in on us as the bride and groom many times. Not having to worry one bit about the wedding day and having the confidence and comfort in knowing Mel and her assistant Mel had it all under control was the best thing a bride and groom could wish for. If there is one vendor we recommend to any engaged couples we know, it's Maleila and specifically, Mel!

Absolutely amazing!

I highly recommend Maleila’s services! I honestly cannot imagine how our wedding events would have unfolded without her! She is super organized, detail-oriented, kind and committed. She went above and beyond for us and she always had such a positive attitude. Thanks again Maleila, for everything!

Amazing wedding coordinator

Maleila and her team were absolutely incredible to work with! Maleila went above and beyond throughout the process, and really took away a ton of my stress leading up to the wedding. She communicated so effectively with all the other vendors that I really didn't need to worry about anything. She also caught small little details (that I would never have noticed!) that needed attention well before the wedding so that everything was in order for the day of. On the day before the wedding unfortunately Maleila contracted covid, but her team did the most incredible job on the day of our wedding. They were fully up to date on every detail and ensured everything ran smoothly. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I highly recommend Maleila and Co!

Incredibly disappointed

Maleila & Co. unfortunately did not meet our expectations for day of coordinator service. The day before my wedding September 23rd, Maleila emailed me that she unfortunately had covid. We were of course disappointed but totally understood she would not be able to coordinate our wedding. I've noticed there are reviews for another wedding on September 24th who were also notified the day before, which doesn't make sense to me.
We received this notice over email the afternoon of our wedding rehearsal and were not provided with another point of contact the night before our wedding. We were supposed to have someone from the team at our rehearsal dinner and no one showed up. This left my husband and I incredibly stressed as we were going to pass off all the information the team would need for the next day and run through our ceremony. I should add, we held a 90 guest backyard wedding on my parents 1 acre property so there were a lot of moving parts. I could not reach Maleila all evening by phone, text, or email. I received a text the next morning that she had "gone offline" and apologized for not providing the assistants contact information, and forgot to tell me no one was available for our rehearsal dinner. The day of the wedding, two assistants arrived and were not prepared as I was reassured by Maleila in an email the day before. They did not know where to put decor or how to set up our plating. I had everything outlined in maps and documentation ahead of time but was instead asked a ton of questions all day while trying to get ready. On top of my husband and father having to help them set up while I got ready, I had two other vendors and guests share with me their poor experiences dealing with the assistance. My husband and I had to reach out to Maleila to ask if any compensation would be made from the experience we had and felt we were unheard. In addition, the documentation templates shared with me, which contain all of my wedding information, have been unshared over google drive. I have reached out to Maleila and her assistant over text and email to have access back so I can make copies and they have decided to ignore me.

Ease of mind for my Type A brides!

If you're anything like me, as a Type A you thrive on being organized, following a schedule, and having things in order. I felt really uneasy having someone have full control of my wedding that I worked over 2 years planning. However, after my first initial meeting with Maleila, I knew she was going to do an amazing job with my August 7th wedding. She shared a google sheet where I was able to input all of my wedding information (guest list w/ allergies, seating chart, timeline, photo list. etc) It was soo organized and fun to use! With the crazy wedding season we had, I was always able to get a hold of her and she knew to give each couple her undivided attention. Maleila always radiates positivity and calmness (which you really need 30 days before your wedding haha). She made sure that we kept on track, each problem was resolved, and no one was coming to me about anything. Thank you so much Maleila, I feel like I couldn't have done it without you!

So worth it!

After meeting with a few different wedding coordinators, we ended up going with Maleila and Co. Our lead planner Mel was absolutely amazing and my husband and I, as well as our moms all said the same... "what would we have done without her?!"
Her calm demeanor and positive energy was exactly what we needed, especially during the week before the wedding when we had 3 vendor changes due to Covid.
She was decisive, flexible, helpful, friendly and overall amazing to work with. THANK YOU Mel for making our day and the lead up to it run so smoothly.

Completely Worth it!

Could not have done it without them!

I cannot thank Maleila and her team enough for helping us plan, design, and execute a picture perfect day! My husband and I were beyond thrilled with our wedding and were able to fully be in the moment and enjoy our day knowing we were in excellent hands. Maleila was incredible in helping us navigate and plan our wedding and made an otherwise overwhelming process a complete delight with all the resources, spreadsheets and meetings before the day! Her rolodex of colleagues in the event industry is invaluable - they helped us replace our DJ with less than a weeks notice. Maleila's calming presence and organization are the recipe for a flawless event. Her whole team is topnotch!
