What sets Tara apart is her keen sense of when to step in and provide direction - she knows precisely when to gently guide and offer suggestions (i.e. hand placements, posture checks, creative poses, etc.), ensuring that every shot was perfect and unique. Tara's creative vision and her ability to guide us when needed were invaluable on our wedding day.

Tara’s photos are timeless. She perfectly captured so many special moments and emotions from our wedding day. My husband and I are still in awe of how Tara seemed to be in so many different places at once. Tara took our Engagement photos as well, which turned out incredibly. For both our Engagement Photos and on the Wedding Day, she put so much care into our photos and worked so hard to make our vision come true!

Tara was our photographer for our wedding this past August (2022) and all I can say is do not hesitate, book her right now for your wedding/event/family photos!! First of all, Tara is truly the loveliest human, when it comes to your wedding photographer, you spend so much time with them on your day it is so important it is someone you click with! We loved spending time with Tara on our day and were sad when it was time for her to go! She is so much fun, so easy to talk to, and very organized/prepared.

Tara was so great from the moment we hired her - she supported with our timeline in our planning process, and on the day was so efficient and decisive with our shot list. She was able to get all of the shots we wanted without making the time drag on. She was able to manage the large groups of people, while being flexible and fun the whole way. Even when we were a bit behind on our timeline, she never made us feel rushed/stressed and prioritized the photos we wanted, while still keeping us on schedule. The way she prompts made all of our photos look so natural and not posed, which is exactly what we wanted. She was able to capture the fun and love on our special day without making everything look staged.

When we received our photos, we were absolutely floored with how much we loved them! We knew we would have many favourite’s, however we literally loved everyone. I can’t explain how well she captured our day in such a fun and natural way. She got our photos to us ahead of schedule and while we were on our honeymoon which was so special. We cannot wait for another opportunity to work with Tara again!

There is no place or person I would rather go to for photos than Tara Hill. We hired her to take photos for our elopement, but she did so much more than that. Her bandwidth for organization, attention to detail, emotional control and environmental and preparedness is off the charts amazing.  This woman thinks of everything.  
 
My wife and I had an unconventional wedding to say the least. It was rushed and we were very much unprepared.  
Tara came in and took so much off of our plate. She helped Arie (my now wife) plan the entire day. From wake-up time, to getting ready, leaving in the morning, arrival time, preparation at the site and of course the stuff we actually hired her for, everything involved with capturing our perfect day.  
 
My favorite memory of working with Tera was her ability to adapt and think quickly so that Arie and I could still have a perfect day. The night before our elopement there was a bad storm and the main road to our destination was completely shut down.  Tara texted us to let us know. (Arie and I had no ideal). Avoiding utter panic by Arie and myself she presented us with a plan. We would leave at the original time previously planned. If the road was not yet clear, we would take an alternate route that she had found. That route was a bit longer and had snowy conditions but would get us there so not only did she basically plan the whole day but when something threatened our experience (that we didn’t even know about) she was there with a backup plan to save the day. Not only that but if that plan didn’t work, she had found two other locations that were on the way just in case we could not get there.  
 
If not for her amazing preparation, cool head and quick thinking Arie and I would have left for our perfect day only to find roads closed and with no back up plan.  
 
Oh and our photos turned out absolutely amazing! Her vision and passion for her trade is very apparent in her work. If you want to be able to look at your wedding photos 40 years from now and be instantly brought back to one of the most important days of your life look no further you have found the photographer you are looking for! Hire her! Hire her! Hire her! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.  

Tara did our elopement and I am beyond happy with our experience and blown away with how the pictures turned out!! She has an eye for photography like no one I have ever met. She is incredible easy to work with, organized and asks all the right questions! Most importantly she loves the adventure and outdoors which makes her perfect for the occasion.
Even though we eloped, I was honestly still a little overwhelmed... this girl has got you!! Having Tara felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulder and I could just enjoy the day! 100% recommend her!

Myself and my now husband got engaged in February 2019 and decided we wanted to have our wedding in June 2019, therefore we knew it would be hard to find a photographer in time. Luckily, my sister suggested her friend from College, Tara Hill. I reached out to Tara and she was super excited to do our wedding and was amazing to work with as she was flexible and organized to get everything ready in a short amount of time. I had no clue what I wanted with my wedding photos, but Tara was great at asking questions (she did a questionnaire and Facetime chats) to find out what we were looking for. Having Tara as the photographer and a guest at the wedding was a pleasure. As some people know it can be awkward and tiresome at times as it can become such a long day with so many photos being taken, but it was the complete opposite with Tara. She was easy going to work with and it was very natural as the photos did not feel forced. We had a small intimate wedding with close family and friends, there were 20 people at the ceremony and 40 people at the dinner, Tara fit right in with our small group. Tara has an eye for impromptu moments, we were headed back into town from our ceremony that was on top of a cliff overlooking the Valley, when she told us to stop because she had an idea. We got out of the truck and she captured the most beautiful photo on the middle of the highway with the mountains in the background, it was definitely a highlight of the day. My husband loves golfing, and we were fortunate to be able to sneak on to the course to take some photos. It didn’t even feel like we were taking photos, it was so fun and laid back. She also surprised us with some very meaningful photos, Tara had asked us about our family history and how we grew up. Both my husband and myself come from a logging background and our fathers still work in the logging industry. Tara was walking around the yard of my childhood home and came across my dad’s chainsaw, she asked him if she could use it for some photos. She used the chainsaw and our wedding rings to capture some absolutely beautiful photos. As I did not know about it at the time, it was extra special to see as a memory of our wedding day when we received our photos. I could keep going on about how great of a photographer Tara is, but I will leave it at that you will not be disappointed to have her for any of your photography needs!

Not only is Tara an unbelievably talented photographer, which you can see by browsing her galleries, but she is on top of when it comes to communication, scheduling, is an easy person to get along with, and is genuinely kind. She went above and beyond what we were anticipating and couldn’t recommend her highly enough! She took the time to get to know me and my wife, asking all the right questions and then some. All this helped us foster a great working relationship and meant that she was able to flawlessly execute come the big day, capturing all the shots – staged and candid – that we had hoped for.
