We hired Rebecca Louise Photography for my wedding on October 5, 2024 in Ottawa.  We paid the full invoice in advance for the video and photo package.  The photos arrived after long delays and multiple promised dates that kept being pushed back (over 7 months of delays beyond the original deadline).  The wedding video never came at all.  

For months we emailed, called, and sent messages, most of the time with no answer.  On the rare occasions we did get a reply, it was always excuses of "personal issues" and promises with new dates, until she stopped responding altogether.

Our wedding was an event that was the first time in 8 years that my family and my husband’s family were all together, as many of them live overseas.  We had heartfelt speeches from friends, from schoolmates, and a once-in-a-lifetime speech from my parents and my mother-in-law at 80 years old.  We told guests not to worry about recording these moments as we had four photographers / videographers present from Rebecca's team recording.  Little did we know Rebecca would completely drop the ball and fail to share any video content with us.  All of these precious moments we had dreamed of are gone.  We will never get them back.

She also promised a “bonus” free engagement photo session but never had any dates available, so that never happened either.  

The photo collection that she finally shared was missing important shots; for example, we specifically asked for a photo of all the family together in front of the church, but when we followed up, her response was, “sorry, that photo didn’t work out.”  

We have requested updates/information from Rebecca but have not heard from her since June 7, 2025.  The lack of honest communication has forced us to bring the matter to small claims court.  That's a hassle that adds insult to injury, but we believe that it would be a disservice to other prospective customers/ victims of this business to not discourage this type of practice.  We will recover the portion of our payment for videography, but of course no amount can replace the memories she failed to capture. 

This was, without exaggeration, the worst service experience of my life.  In my opinion, this business is not just unprofessional, it is fraudulent.  Despite having over a year to deliver the video or provide some sort of closure to us, Rebecca has only doubled down on evasion and dishonesty.  I implore customers (and associate photographers alike) to avoid working with her. 

Also note: I noticed that the business’s social media accounts have been deleted and recreated over the past 1.5 years, which I found concerning.

I've said it before and I will say it again, Rebecca and her team are hands down the best photographers to work with for any of life's special moments. When I first reached out to Rebecca two 1/2 years ago about our wedding she never said things like « it’s to early to book » « I don’t know where I will be then » « or I need my non refundable deposit right away for that far in advance ». No I emailed her and she got back to me right away and sent me over a list of her prices and packages. I asked many questions and she answered them all with all the kindness especially for a bride who was just enquiring at the time. When I was ready to book she had realized she had still given me her Covid prices and because she is such a sweet soul she honored the prices that she originally gave me without me even asking! Anybody could have just been like « sorry, my mistake those prices have changed this is what you must pay » but she didn’t. From there over the course of those two years she was a delight! I got to meet her at the Ottawa Wedding show and see her work on full display and it was gorgeous. Fast forward to our mini engagement photoshoot …. I forgot my engagement ring and it was cold and she STILL made the best of it. As someone of mixed origins I was always « scared » to wear my natural curls …. Well with the help of products and her skills I felt beautiful. So beautiful and sexy that I even wore my hair curly for my wedding day. She completely altered the way I felt about myself inside and out and my husband who also is no fan of cameras said both our Engagement photos and Wedding day photos were « not awkward, effortless and even fun! » we enjoyed ourselves so much! Truly and the photos speak for themselves. We felt like ourselves. That’s what’s important I didn’t practice my smile or try to correct my wonky eye I just lived in the moment in the photos and it was it was captured with grace and style.

We will be booking Rebecca for our maternity photo shoot as well. Do not hesitate to say yes to her she is REAL DEAL!
