Would absolutely recommend Julia as a wedding photographer! She was so accommodating of all our requests, and made my partner and I feel so well taken care of and comfortable through the all the posed and casual shots. She showed up early and stayed late, and was really good at being present for all the capture-worthy moments without being intrusive or interfering in people's personal/private moments (an experience I've had at other weddings with other photographers). She was so warm and friendly and made all our guests feel comfortable too - all in all, a great experience working with her!

Wow, where to even begin! Our experience with Northern Moon Photography blew our expectations out of the water. Julia and Nicolas are incredible people, it genuinely felt like we had two friends documenting our wedding day, rather than strangers. At one point we found ourselves just chatting outside about our shared love for Survivor. Julia sent us a huge batch of preview photos much sooner than expected and they look stunning. They also sent a ton of video clips taken throughout the day (we had Nicolas doing videography), which is so appreciated as we will forever be able to look back on some of the key moments of our wedding day. We are so excited to get the full batch of photos and the wedding video, which we have no doubt will be breathtaking based on what we've seen from Julia and Nic so far. We had a couple of virtual meetings with Julia before the big day to talk through our vision. She was attentive, took the time to understand what we wanted, and did an amazing job bringing it all to life. She welcomed our Pinterest boards and pose ideas, which made the whole process feel collaborative and fun. She also scouted a gorgeous off-site location for portraits after the ceremony, and even offered to drive us there.

We had a small, DIY home wedding, and she was the perfect fit—professional, calm, and wonderfully creative. She was fantastic at organizing group shots and gently guiding everyone after the ceremony, and she brought so many fresh ideas for poses during both the group and couple portraits.

She’s also fantastic on the fly—she gave us cues for the bridal entrance that helped everything go smoothly. We had such a great time working with her and couldn’t have asked for a better person to document and share the day with.

Julia sent over a preview gallery just four days later, and the full gallery arrived in only 4 weeks—both way ahead of schedule. The photos are absolutely stunning, and I can’t wait to turn them into a coffee table book. We’re so thankful we found her!

We had the most incredible experience with Julia, from making our engagement shoot magical to capturing our beautiful wedding day at Roseline Sturdy Amphitheatre. She is such a wonderful and hard working person. She really took her time and brought our ideal wedding that we have envisioned to life, that we can look back on and treasure forever. Julia is absolutely amazing! She is so sweet and talented and an absolute pleasure to work with. She was very open to any of our suggestions and even asked for inspiration prior to our photo session. During the session both my husband and I felt very comfortable and confident, she even showed us some of the pictures during the shoot and we were so happy with the way they were coming out. At the end of the shoot she surprised us with some lanterns for some twilight shots. Everything was just a dream come true, my husband and I got to celebrate our love at sunset and under the stars with our favorite mountain and Julia captured the moments absolutely beautifully.
