About

Located in Barrie, Ontario. Tanya Ellis Photography (formerly Miller Ellis) has been photographing weddings all over the world for over 15 years. Her photography style is a mixture of traditional (posed portraiture) and documentary (candid) so that you get the best of both worlds :)
Her editing style can be described as bold, rich, natural and classic.

Services offered

This liability insured company provides high-resolution images (digital files) as well as two main photographers on the day of your wedding. A complimentary engagement session is also included when purchasing any wedding package so that we can get to know all of our couples and get some practice in before the big day. :)

Tanya and her team photographs everything from events to business card headshots. Photo shoots can be arranged of the following:

  • Newborns/Babies
  • Engagement/Couples
  • Weddings including destinations (Panama, Mexio and Jamaica so far) and LGBTQ supporter!

Miller & Ellis - True Professionals

We were blown away by Nicole and Tanya - They are incredible! We had a large group of family and they were complete superstars organizing everyone and ensuring we got all of the photos that we wanted and more - They were hilarious, and made us feel so relaxed and at the same time are masters at what they do in the most professional sense. They were amazing, and became part of our day, guests at our wedding and will forever be part of memories that we will have. It was absolutely our pleasure to have them with us on our wedding!

Loved Nicole and Tanya. They're easy to work with. My husband and I never had professional photos before and they put us at ease and Gabe us directions. I liked that an engagement shoot was part of the package. Great for practice for the big day and the photos turned out amazing.

We feel so grateful to have had Nicole and Tanya as our wedding photographers! We, the women, were still in full beautifying chaos when they walked in, and enquired about the details to shoot—dress, rings, etc. Of course, none of those were ready and instead of being annoyed or moving on, Nicole and Tanya gracefully took charge, telling me not to worry, and further proceeded to offer ideas that I hadn't considered and loved. None of it was too much, certainly not their sense of humour and easy-going nature that kept bride and groom chilled despite a few hiccups. They handled everyone with care, but also with purpose. Finally, the few preview shots I have seen so far have moved me, and I find them beautiful. We cannot wait to see the full thing! If you are looking for professional and no-nonsense wedding photographers with an eye for beauty and emotion, Nicole and Tanya are your girls!

Tanya and Nicole were so much fun to work with. They shot both our engagement and wedding last year. The engagemnet shoot was simple, easy and fun. I am very self concious of myself in photographs but they made me feel at ease and I have honestly never looked as good in pictures as I do in the shots they took that day! I wanted my wedding day to be completely relaxed and stress free and they certainly helped to deliver that for me. I didn't have to worry about a thing. They took care of everything! The photographs were all beautiful and perfectly edited. They gave me a clear timeline of when to expect them and delivered on time. I have seen the baby pictures they do too on their site and love the style they choose with the little bundles. I would definitely recommend them to any couple that is engaged or any family that wants portraits done.

Nicole and Tanya were fantastic!! Professional but fun, they fit in well with our bridal party. We had a stress free, enjoyable day in part because of these two ladies that we consider friends. We recommend their services all the time.

And the photos! We are still getting compliments a year later from complete strangers who saw our pics on their blog :) our family and friends raved and we are so thankful for the beautiful memories they captured for us.

Nicole and Tanya shot our engagement pictures and were kind enough to make a trip north to shoot our wedding! They were professional, and both have such a great personality, they make the photo session fun and very interactive! They completely understand all the stresses you are under and do everything they can to accommodate.
Hopefully they will be shooting our newborn pics in the next few years as well! :)
These ladies are the whole package - professional, great photographers and fantastic personalities which makes them wonderful to work with!

Tanya and Nicole are super fun, organized, and best of all creative! We absolutely love our wedding photos as well as our engagement photos. These ladies are so easy to work with we could have taken pictures with them all afternoon. They captured so many precious moments for us on our wedding day.
The package that we ordered was just what we wanted and was an amazing value!
We would definitely reccomend M.E Photography to family & friends and we plan to use them again for other photography services!!

Our wedding was a huge success because of Nicole and Tanya. My parents haven’t spent a block of time together in over 20 years (or their extended families), so as you could imagine I was stressed. The ladies showed up, used their humour to ease the tension and everyone had a wonderful time! Later - when I was developing our wedding photo’s I came across a photo of my parents walking out of the church together arm and arm with their natural smiles - there’s no way they were told to pose. I couldn’t believe it! A few of my girlfriends have since booked them, including my sister-on-law for this summer. Now Blake and I are expecting our first baby any day and so excited to have the girls do our newborn pictures!! Xo

We had a great time working with Miller Ellis. They were fun, flexible and organized. I liked that they asked me to gather photos that I thought were fun so that they could be recreated on our day. It made for some amazing, unique photos.
They were super fun and I loved the quality of their pictures.

I had Miller Ellis recommend to me by a friend and I can honestly say I'm so happy we had them shoot our wedding. They are professional, dedicated, hard working and take amazing pictures.

I didn't really have any idea of what I wanted from my pictures on my wedding day. I'm not a photogenic person and was lost at what to do, how to pose, where to stand, etc. Miller Ellis took the lead with such creativity to capture such great moments from my special day.

I loved how they made the entire photo session fun and enjoyable, not only for me and my husband, but for my entire bridal party also. Everyone loved their energy and great spirits.

I would recommend Miller Ellis to anyone. I truly loved all of my pictures from my wedding. I also just had a newborn photo session done from them and the photos are just amazing.

Thank you ladies for taking such great photos for me and my family! We can't wait until we need pictures taken again, we will be calling you for sure!
