The venue was exactly what we wanted, it was a good space and the food was the highlight absolutely. The chef and bar staff were exceptional but the wait staff were only acceptable. Be alert to having the venue follow through with details that were promised. We were specifically in the Summer House which we would recommend.

I had my dream wedding at the Briars! Alexis is a great wedding coordinator and did an excellent job of providing direction the day of the wedding. Guests are still commenting that the food at our wedding was the best they have ever had at a wedding. We had our ceremony on the ... View more front lawn of the main house and the reception was in the Summer House (had the BBQ menu, it was amazing)! Some constructive critisim would be that the floors in the summer house seemed to be quite dirty. They could have used an extra mop prior to the reception. Also, they are very strict with their bar time. We had paid for an additional hour of service during cocktails before dinner and they cut it off at exactly one hour. We even had a hard time getting a drink for ourseleves (bride and groom) when we got to the reception after pictures. Also, the girls got ready in our bridal suite and it was to be cleaned after we left so that it would be nice when the groom and I returned for our wedding night. However, when we got back to the room all that had been done was that the bed was made. There was still garbage around the room from our lunch, extra chairs from the hair and make-up were still in the room and the furniture had not been placed back from when we had moved it to do photos. Make sure you request that your room have a full cleaning and be put back in order for the wedding night!
