We had a great experience at The Briars. We were married on Thanksgiving weekend, and the entire day was perfect. Alexis was very helpful in keeping things organized for us, and her experienced was helpful in the planning process. Everyone was welcoming and warm, and went out of ... I was somewhat picky and precise on what I wanted, and they were accommodating to make changes easily for me. I would do it all over again with their team!

My husband and I got married at the Briars in late August 2017. We chose this venue specifically because of it's proximity to Toronto while still providing a destination wedding feeling of an escape in cottage country. We chose to get married on the front lawn and have our ... View more reception in the cozy and beautiful summer house. The service was truly top notch from the initial visit until the wedding day. The onsite Wedding coordinator was great at responding to my million questions and worked well to coordinate the finer details with my wedding planners. We chose to have my close family stay in cottages near the summer house and it provided with a great setting to get ready on the morning of the wedding with the bridesmaids. The lake provided unique and exceptional background to our "getting ready" shots. The Briars surprised us with changing the welcome sign to a congratulations to me and my husband and it was so touching. Briars staff took good care of the wedding party and family members attending the wedding providing wedding guests with shuttle service and private dining room to eat breakfast together. The summer house was great and the food was excellent. Guests could not stop raving about how good the food was! We were completely satisfied with the Briars as our wedding venue and we would recommend it to couples who want an intimate but fun, well organized and truly beautiful wedding!

The venue was exactly what we wanted, it was a good space and the food was the highlight absolutely. The chef and bar staff were exceptional but the wait staff were only acceptable. Be alert to having the venue follow through with details that were promised. We were specifically in the Summer House which we would recommend.

We got married at the Briar's in June 2017. We pretty much had the resort to ourselves for the entire weekend since they only allow one weeding per weekend. That was awesome! The grounds are absolutely stunning (the building is a little dated and could use some paint but still ... View more beautiful), our guests raved about the food. All the staff were pleasant and incredibly flexible on any last minute details. We were able to enjoy both the ball room and the gardens which was a great touch. I would have liked the bar to stay open till 1pm, but we managed. I would highly recommend.

We got married at the Summer house June 2017 which is beautiful and quaint. The food was incredible and the service was excellent. The venue was smallish for our event so there was some frustration with the changeover from dinner to dancing/the band. They did warn us about this ... View more but it felt unnecessarily long because the band was not allowed to set up before dinner. We found the alcohol to be mysteriously non-alcoholic and our complaints were not addressed in a way that left us feeling wedding bliss.
