Alistair photographed our wedding this September. We loved working with him.

Leading up to the day, he was very responsive and helped us build our timeline for the day. On the day, he was very easy to work with. My husband and I are both a bit camera shy but he helped us feel comfortable and we ended up having a lot of fun.

The pictures came back quickly and they are fantastic. Someone noted that they have never seen such happy wedding photos and it is true, Alistair really managed to capture the joy of the day with formal and candid shots.

Before the wedding, he was willing to meet with us to go over the details of his services, and even to give advice on the timing for our photos, in order to try and ensure good lighting conditions. He was very helpful in discussing locations for the photo shoot, and also flexible to ensure we could take the photos in a place we loved.

During the wedding he was highly professional, and was kind and entertaining in all interactions with our guests. A number of people there commented after the fact that they enjoyed his presence.

He made us feel very comfortable during the photo shoot. He was good at giving direction, and kept us laughing and smiling throughout. He was also receptive to our ideas for different places to take photos. We were really impressed with how much fun we had doing the photo shoot!

The turnaround time for our photos was less than two weeks.

Finally, both the candid photos from the ceremony itself, and the poses in the photo shoot afterward turned out incredibly. The photos are beautiful, and exceeded our expectations. Everyone we have shared them with have been very impressed. We especially loved the effects he was able to capture in the light of the setting sun. We will cherish them for the rest of our lives.

My husband and I got married at Century Barn and Alastair from MacPherson Images was included in our package. We met Alastair the day of our wedding and instantly it felt like we'd known him for years, like he was an old friend. We felt right away that our wedding photos would be amazing.

Our wedding timeline was a bit behind as we delayed our ceremony for about 45 minutes due to a rainstorm. Even with a delayed schedule, Alastair still worked his magic. He hung out with myself and my bridesmaids in the bridal suite during the delay capturing some great photos of us just having fun. Come ceremony time he was able to capture every angle and aspect of the ceremony, he was everywhere at the right moment. Family photos after the ceremony are some of our favourite photos that we will cherish forever. We have a pretty big family but Alastair was able to wrangle us all together and take the best photos. We also had a very large wedding party (10 bridesmaids, 9 groomsmen, 2 flower girls and 1 ring bearer and the 2 of us). Alastair was able to work his magic with such a big group. He is also amazing with kids. He did such an amazing job with my niece (our flower girl) when we were doing bridesmaid photos, he had her laughing and smiling the whole time. As I mentioned before we had a rainstorm on our wedding day and by the time we took our after dinner photos and golden hour photos the clouds and sky made for a beautiful backdrop. Seriously, some of the coolest pictures I’ve ever seen.
Alastair is a powerhouse and is fantastic at what he does. The entire day he was everywhere he needed to be at all of the right moments and was able to capture every single moment of our special day. You can truly see the passion and care that Alastair has for photography. We received our photos back from him very quickly and we were beyond impressed with the photos.
