We honestly cannot say enough good things. There aren't enough words, truly.

Our hunt for a wedding photographer was REAL. We looked at 40+ photographers in the province of BC. While others had certain things we were looking for, no one seemed to have the whole package. We weren’t big on the ‘status quo’ wedding photos. While we absolutely wanted photos of the entirety of our day, we didn’t need the stock standard rings, dress hanging, people standing around smiling, etc. We wanted the 'dream,' photographer. One who could capture the raw emotion and vibe of the day, one who would capture those swoon worthy images, one who would capture all the ‘status quo’ things but in a way where they were part of it.

When we arrived at Bobbi's site, the emotion we could feel in her photos was palpable. We knew we had to meet her.

When we did get the chance to meet, her authenticity, honesty and personality sealed the deal for us. She answered all our questions, even gave advice on certain things based on her own experiences with weddings. Her having been to hundreds and us new to planning one.

We decided to go with a package that included a connection session. Would highly recommend. We headed out to Waterton and got to know her even better. Turns out we were right - she’s just a wicked person. Not only that, but we also got to see her style of photography with us in the photos. We were blown away by our pictures. They were stunning.

Fast forward to wedding day. Bobbi fits in with anyone, she blends in with everyone, she’s the guest you want at your wedding. Our photos turned out so incredibly amazing, so beautiful. We couldn’t be any happier with them. We laughed and we cried when we viewed them. They were absolutely everything we wanted. Truthfully, we don’t even know how to pick our favorite ones. Each time I look at them I am immediately transported back to the day. Which is such a phenomenal feeling. We have it all. The getting ready, the ceremony, the wedding party, the portraits, the speeches, the love, the laughter, the uniqueness of our guests, they’re personalities somehow captured in a single image, the moments we didn’t even know happened, the things we didn’t even see.

She is truly fascinated by people in the best way, finding beauty in everything. Her ability to capture magic is unparalleled. We honestly cannot recommend Bobbi enough. Hire her. We promise you will not be disappointed.

When searching for a wedding photographer:
Bobbi's artistry was miles (oops, kilometers) ahead of anyone else in capturing the moments… Yes, we could have hired someone that took photos of us, our families, group shots but we didn’t see humanity and emotion in it. This was a queer wedding. By definition, if there is one, it’s not typical and we don’t need to fit the mold of tradition. We wanted to feel and relive the moments and feel the emotion of the day. We felt that Bobbi understood this and could deliver on it like no one else could!

The experience of working with Bobbi:
One of us really, really does not like photos of themselves and had never been professionally photographed and thus didn’t know what to expect. Bobbi did a great job keeping it casual, normal, and even fun so that it never felt like it was a professional photoshoot despite delivering on professional quality pictures!

What we would say to someone considering working with Bobbi:
We are from Portland where Nike is headquartered, so we’d say: “Just do it.” Without a doubt, you will not regret it. We are able to relive moments through her work that I do not believe another photographer would have been able to provide.

Bobbi was amazing to work with from the very start! She made sure we both understood what we were getting out of her style of photography to make sure our day was captured the way we wanted it to. She has a great way of making the photo sessions feel natural by getting us to pose in ways without making it feel fake and made us laugh tons. She was easy to get in touch with and set up meetings with as well. The photos are also all gorgeous and so professionally done. Couldn't be happier with our choice in Bobbi! 100% recommend.

Wow where do we even begin. Bobbi was incredible!! She was able to capture our day in a way we didn’t even know was possible. The photos we have received are absolutely breathtaking! You can feel the emotions in each photo as a story is unfolding. Bobbi’s photography isn’t standard, you are buying an experience that lasts a lifetime. Her photography is a documentary that tells a story from start to finish with everything in between. As we watch the slide show over and over again, we time travel back to being on top of Mt. Crawford, exchanging our vows in the most love filled intimate ceremony. Our day wasn’t posing in front of a camera being models, we created memories from picking huckleberries for the first time, to almost falling off of a mountain (she has quick reflexes btw) to picking up rocks to keep forever, to countless moments of laughter. Bobbi created a safe welcoming space that allowed us to be comfortable and our real authentic goofy selves. From the moment we met Bobbi there was an instant connection of friendship. Bobbi is the most genuine, kindest soul we have ever met. We can’t thank you enough for perfectly capturing our love for each other.

We chose Bobbi because of her documentary style of photography.  Her work seemed to tell a story rather than being a collection of posed shots.  Looking through her site, we could tell she was talented at catching special moments, expressions, and emotions.
Bobbi made us feel comfortable, and like we were in good hands, right away.  She had lots of time for us and had very helpful insights into the overall wedding planning process.  The connection session was a wonderful bonus, and the photos from it are some of our most precious.

We seen her photos and knew she was perfect for us. I had a lot of things go one before the wedding including my grandmother getting sick, so I did have to cancel and reschedule things with her and she was so understand. She made the whole process easier, and we could not be happier with our photos.

For us going with Bobbi as our wedding photographer was a no brainer! We met her a few years earlier when she photographed my brothers wedding. At a time in my life where I didn’t feel the best about myself, she took a photo of me and my partner dancing that absolutely radiated our joy and love, and made us look INCREDIBLE even if our faces were silly and we had no idea the photo was evening happening.

When it was time for us to get married we just kept coming back to this photo, thinking if Bobbi managed to make us look this good, and take a photo that we love this much when it wasn’t even our day, imagine what she would pull off on our actual wedding!! We also knew that we wanted our wedding to look vibrant and colourful, bursting with life and energy, and that we were way more interested in candid shots of us and our guests than staged formal portraits. One look though Bobbi’s portfolio and confirmed that she was the one for us. All of her wedding photographs just radiate joy, and always seem to so perfectly capture each couple and day.

From our very first consultation meeting working with Bobbi was a delight. She is incredibly professional, calm and confident and very clearly knows what her and her business are about. She was very patient in walking us though all our options for the day, the pros and cons of all of them, and gave us space and time to really figure out what our priority was for her and how to best get us all there. With us living in Vancouver she was very accommodating on working a connection session with us into a very narrow gap in a family vacation, driving out of her way to make it work for us. And by the end of that shoot it felt like we had been friends for ages and we were so pumped to get to celebrate with her on our big day.

On the actual day working with Bobbi was INSANE in the best possible way. We were a little bit nervous as our timeline was tight, and Bobbi doesn’t work with an assistant. We kinda figured there was no way that she would be able to capture everything that was going on. What we didn’t realize is that she is part ninja, part octopus and we are pretty sure she has the ability to actually transform herself into a crane. It was like she was everywhere and no where, you never saw her coming and then there were just the most incredible photographs!! She dodged flying axes, climbed ladders, and at one point managed to basically float over top of the dance floor to get arial shots. We are still not sure how she did that. She is also just delightful to be around, she made us and all our guests feel so comfortable with her and her camera. For weeks after the wedding every time I saw someone they asked about Bobbi, and gushed about how lovely she was, how hard she worked, and how fun she was to be around. Now that our photos have come we are even more in awe. They are amazing wedding photos, but even more than that they are perfect snaps of the day. All the smiles and joy, all the chaos and silliness, things we never got to see at the time, all of our most treasured family and friends are perfectly captured the way we love them.

If you are super into pristine staged “perfect” photos, then I can’t tell you if Bobbi is the person for you, because we didn’t even try for any of those. If you want photos that truly tell the story of your day, that revel in every moment, celebrate every dance, and perfectly capture every feeling and well earned bead of sweat, then Bobbi is 1000% the photographer for you!!!

We searched for photographers by all means; based on recommendations, we looked for photographers that captured wedding photos that we liked, we looked at various sites where photographers offered their services, and through Google searches.

We gravitated to Bobbi based on a checklist we had, then chose her based on our feelings. The “checklist” for our photographer consisted of these key points: timeless, authentic, and natural.

Timeless: We wanted someone who could capture the moments of the wedding as they were, without having to add superficial effects. We knew the day itself would be extraordinary on its own and we didn't want too many artificial filters, techniques, and effects added, we found all that stuff distracting. We wanted the moment and emotions captured effectively and expertly.

Authentic: We weren’t looking for a photographer to manipulate us, guests, and decorations for every shot. Of course, there were some short family group photo sessions where we posed, but we didn’t want to capture a staged wedding for the rest of the day. Bobbi’s experience as a documentary photographer resonated with us; we wanted the real wedding to be captured, as how we would remember it.

Natural: Here we are referring to the connection with Bobbi. As someone who we would be with all day, we wanted to make sure we were comfortable around our photographer. The connection photoshoot was invaluable as we got to know Bobbi, and she got to know us. During the wedding day, when we rarely noticed Bobbi taking a shot of us, there were no feelings of anxiety; we had already seen Bobbi’s work and were confident in how she would capture us.

Having a diverse family, the only major concern we had with our photographer, and all our wedding vendors for that matter, was that every guest at our wedding felt safe and supported. Bobbi was a rockstar and made sure all our guests were aware of the awesome people that they were.

Bobbi ticked all these boxes and brought so much expertise that we wouldn't have known to look for. Our photos are amazing, and our moments with just us and Bobbi are among the highlights of the day.
