The Celebrant is a wedding officiant company serving Peterborough County, Northumberland, Kawartha Lakes, Stouffville, Uxbridge, Port Perry, Markham, Newmarket, Aurora and the GTA.
Christine Ball and Julia Bailey are Humanist Officiants, registered with the Ontario Humanist Society to perform legal, secular, non-religious weddings, vow renewals, commitment ceremonies and other life celebrations.
A humanist ceremony celebrates love and commitment, and the joy and beauty of life. The humanist spirit affirms and is rooted in compassion and inclusivity. It is in that spirit that we proudly to support the LGBTQ2S+ community.
We beleive your celebration should be personalized, meaningful and leave a wonderful lasting memory for you and your guests. The Celebrants are here to assist you in creating a ceremony that reflects your own personal style and vision, and it’s our job to support you, to listen to you, and to guide you through your event with ease.

Christine and Julia's goal is to support clients through life's precious milestones. They will work to craft a unique ceremony that incorporates cultural traditions, personal beliefs and reflects each couples' one-of-a-kind love story.

A ceremony to remember!
From the first time we met with Julia, she took all of our ceremony wants and needs into consideration. She asked all the right questions in order to understand our relationship better.
Julia was extremely organized. She prepared our ceremony, and got back to us in a timely matter with the edits that we wanted. She even sent us reminders of the documents we needed for the ceremony. (Super helpful when you’re a bride with a million things on your mind).
Julia is so kind, hard working, professional and even helped me ease my wedding jitters minutes before walking down the aisle.
