Who am I?

My name is Erica, and I'm thrilled to share a bit about myself with you.

Simply, I believe, love is magic and makes everything possible - and that's where my journey begins.

My love of weddings began when I was merely five years old and had the honour of being a flower girl. I still cherish this memory today, the feeling of putting on my purple dress with white lace trim accents, watching the bride prepare, the sweet smell of fresh flowers, and finally, that magical moment when everyone stands up to cheer for the couple as they drive away in a car with "Just Married" on the back window. Little did I know then, this was just the first of many roles I would play in the realm of weddings.

As years passed, I found myself immersed in the world of music and theater. This exposure led to invitations to perform vocals and classical guitar solos at wedding ceremonies and receptions.

As friends and family embarked on their own journeys of love, I embraced roles such as MC, bridesmaid, and speechwriter. With a foundation as a professionally trained vocal performer, actress, and award-winning public speaker, I truly enjoyed these opportunities to help create memorable moments.

From charity fundraisers and corporate gatherings to weddings, bridal showers, and bachelorette parties, I've successfully orchestrated and executed various large-scale events. Furthermore, I've lent my voice to Radio Ads, appeared in TV Commercials, and even served as a spokesperson for a Canadian Boat Manufacturer.

But my story does not end there. For several years, I worked in the world of custom jewelry. This offered an opportunity to learn about not only diamonds and gemstones, but also the rich history and symbolism within specific pieces, such as an array of Celtic love knots and eternity symbols. I truly enjoyed assisting couples in selecting the perfect engagement ring and wedding bands to reflect their unique love story.

Now, where could I possibly go from here? Cakes! Yes, Cakes!
Inspired by my mom's talent for making custom cakes, I developed a flair for cake design, creating artistic confections for weddings and special occasions. It’s an activity that I still enjoy, especially when shared with my mom, sisters and now my children. However, I now only reserve those creations for special occasions.

On that note, I'm a mom to two beautiful souls who light up my world and wife to ‘My Human’, whom each make life magical. My world is also full of family and friends that I enjoy sharing time, laughs, and adventures with. I believe in the beauty of shared experiences. It's the simple things in life that often bring the most joy. Did I mention that I am also a hugger? : )

Over the years, my goals were fuelled by pop culture references like Jennifer Lopez's portrayal in "The Wedding Planner" and Joey's ordainment episode on "Friends." These aspirations led me to become a licensed officiant, living out my dream of helping others celebrate their love stories. Every step of my journey has contributed to my overall experience, and I'm so grateful for each opportunity.
