We had the absolute pleasure of having Shelley officiate our wedding, and we truly could not imagine anyone better for the role. From the very beginning, she was warm, professional, and so genuinely invested in making our ceremony meaningful and personal. One thing we especially appreciated was her attention to detail. Shelley didn’t just help us plan the ceremony — she helped us think through moments and logistics for the rest of the day, too, which made such a difference. Shelley is truly an incredible officiant. I found Shelley on Wedding Wire when I was desperate searching for an officiant a couple months prior to the wedding. We planned our Comox Valley wedding from Ontario so we didn't have the chance to meet anyone in person prior to the date. This made me a little bit stressed on how everything would go with selecting an officiant. Having Shelley be a part of this process made everything so easy and thought out. She really is amazing with words and wrote the most beautiful, thoughtful, and personal ceremony for us. She was able to meet with us over zoom a couple times leading up to the wedding and these meetings gave us a sense of peace on how the ceremony would run on wedding day. Shelley not only captured our love story beautifully but also wove in our Celtic and Ukrainian backgrounds through hand fastening and the rushnyk. She took the time to research about the rushnyk and its purpose as a ceremonial tradition from Ukrainian culture. We cannot thank her enough for making our ceremony as breathtaking as it was. We will forever remember our wedding day as perfect because of her.
