We hired Main Event Music for our daughter’s wedding, trusting their reputation and positive reviews. What we received was the exact opposite of a professional service, and the impact it had on our celebration is something we will never forget.
Guests traveled from different countries and cities to be with us for this once-in-a-lifetime event. Instead of a joyful, energetic celebration, the evening fell apart because of the band’s and DJ’s poor performance, lack of engagement, and complete failure to respond to the atmosphere in the room. Multiple polite requests to raise the tempo and energy were ignored. The dance floor stayed empty, and guests left early because the music never matched the occasion.
The band concluded around 10:00 p.m., and the DJ wrapped up shortly after 10:30 p.m. because there were barely any guests left — a direct result of how poorly the entertainment was handled.
When we tried to resolve this quietly and respectfully afterward, Jian, who represented the company, refused to acknowledge what happened. Instead of taking responsibility, he minimized our experience, blamed external factors, and dismissed the fact that many guests were openly disappointed. His response, and the refusal to make things right, revealed a complete lack of accountability.
This event meant the world to our family and to the many people who traveled long distances to be there. The service we received not only failed to meet professional standards — it failed on the most basic human level of care and consideration.
I am sharing this review so future clients know what we did not: if something goes wrong, this company does not stand behind their work. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Main Event Music.

We recently got married at Cambium Farms and Conor Brown was our DJ. It was easy to send in our song choices and discuss the details with him beforehand, and he also took care of all the announcements and a reception game we planned last minute. All the sound and music throughout the day and evening was perfect and we had a blast dancing all evening! We got so many compliments from our guests. Would highly recommend!

The band played the wrong first dance song as well as the wrong song for the bride to walk down the aisle. They tried to blame us and our party planner but was incredibly clear that it was the bands fault (or the people who organize the band before the event). Would never recommend this company to anyone looking for a mistake free event.

We had the Universal Boogie Band play at our wedding and they are hands down the best performers I have ever had the chance of listening to. I seriously cannot understate how incredible they were. They were professional, charismatic, and insanely talented! They have my highest recommendation.

I can’t even count how many people have complimented our choice of music from our wedding - the band was SPECTACULAR! Not only were they talented (and boy were they talented), they engaged with the crowd, came out and sang to people through the cocktail reception, and even had the grandparents hit the dance floor. They kept high energy and smiles all night long.

This was no typical wedding sound either - my husband and I put in some atypical music requests ahead of our event and not only did the band deliver, the rocked. We wanted to have some east coast music towards the later half of the night and they really knocked it out of the park.

I can’t say enough good things about our event sound. It was easily the best money we spent on our wedding day.

We had a blast with Main Event at our wedding. They listened to all of our wants and needs and executed perfectly!

This was a last minute decision. But probably the best decision we made!

The band was amazing! It was more than what we could imagine for our wedding day! The dance floor was packed, the band interacted with the crowd and EVERYONE was asking where we found them! Execution was great! One this I would change, but not a make it or break it, was the level of communication with the office and payment structure. But other than that everyone was SUPER nice and so accommodating to making sure our big day went off without a hitch!

Main Event Music's band was the life of the party! The dance floor was packed the entire night and we got so many compliments from our guests who said it was the best music they've ever heard at a wedding. The musicians interacted with the crowd and played the perfect setlist. They were also super professional and wonderful to work with as we prepared for the big day. I highly recommend!!

We had the best night celebrating our wedding! Everyone was up and dancing the entire night. The dance floor was full all night long! The Horah had amazing energy and the indoor fireworks/sparklers were an incredible added touch. Our guests were wowed by the band and so were we!
