Providing professional waxing and makeup artistry, Makeup Worx is a studio located in Hamilton, Ontario. Be it simple, sophisticated, or dramatic, the team here will enhance your best features with the stroke of their brush. It offers mobile services where the artist comes to any location of the client's choice. Monika, founder of the company, is a makeup and camouflage artist. The team here also consists of Rosa, Rhonda, Meaghan, Missy, Kate, Karla, and Nadine who are expert in airbrushing. In addition, there is also Ashley, an eyebrow specialist, and Sarah, a nail artist.
Experience
Monika was born in Warsaw, Poland, and moved to Canada at a very young age. Although, she studied public relations at university, she has always loved makeup artistry. She holds a diploma from the School of Professional Makeup Art in Toronto, Ontario. She is a well-known artist for weddings, professional photo shoots, and editorials as well. Specializing in men and women's full body waxing, Ashley believes that waxing is an art form. Her services also include Brazilian wax and eyebrow design.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Monika and Michelle for hair and makeup for me, my mom, and bridesmaids. From the start they were very professional and gave really helpful feedback when figuring out my wedding day makeup look! I'm not super experienced with using makeup (I usually just have some concealer, eyeliner and mascara for day-to-day) and Monika was very helpful in making me feel beautiful without being 'cakey' or 'overdone'. We were still able to get a little glam in as well with some actually really nice use of glitter, even though I was a bit skeptical!! Michelle was also great for doing the hair - I had 2 trials because what I saw on Pinterest the first time wasn't quite right after I had it on, so it was easy to schedule a second hair trial with Michelle soon after. On the wedding day, MakeupWorx were very professional, on time, and they made sure all of my bridesmaids and my mom looked stunning with their hair and makeup all done. I also really liked how Michelle helped me to adapt a bit of a dated hair piece from my mom's wedding look on the fly to match my wedding dress, and that was really special for her to be able to help with that so quickly and tastefully. Overall, they were a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the future! -

Great team to work with! I truly felt like a princess on the day of the wedding and my makeup lasted all night. Actually it was still perfect the next morning to the point that my friends/family literally asked me if I had gotten my makeup done again… even the lashes stayed on!
I am sooo happy to have chosen makeup worx for my special day! Monica was so nice and easy to talk to! Michelle is amazing with hair, showed her a picture and she completely delivered! Highly recommend ! -

Makeup work is such an amazing business I don’t even know where to begin! I reached out to Monika about my wedding hair and makeup and from the start she was courteous, charming knowledgeable and so easy to talk to! She was able to book a time to have a phone call and plan out everything I needed for my wedding makeup and hair and for my bridesmaids and help curate everything I needed for the perfect day! When I had my makeup trial for the wedding she was able to accurately asses my skin and apply the makeup to best fit me and my look, she was able to recreate my vision even better than I could have ever imagined and even give great advice to improve the vision I had. Michelle did my hair and she is the hair queen! I have very thin hair that doesn’t hold anything well and she was able to give me my dream wedding hair exactly how I wanted it and how I dreamed it to be. The studio, their supplies and their products are all high end and clean and they do such an amazing job and are truly masters in their art! On the wedding day that showed up with a smile and were so wonderfully getting all my bridesmaids, my mom and myself absolutely gorgeous for the wedding day and made us feel like royalty. I truly never imagined I could look and feel as beautiful as I did on my wedding day and I owe it all to Monika and Michelle! The best part is the makeup truly lasted ALL DAY no transferring, no smudging and no “cake face”, it even lasted through so many happy tears!! If I could rate them 5 stars I would!! I will definitely recommend they to anyone and everyone I meet !! -

Carli and Michelle from Makeup Worx made my bridesmaids and I feel beautiful all-day long. Hair and makeup was flawless the entire day and my concern of makeup transferring to guests did not occur. Being an indecisive person, I walked in extremely excited for my hair and makeup trial. I loved what they created but got home and immediately changed my mind. Monika and Michelle acted quickly to set up another hair trial so that I was truly confident with the hair style I chose. My second look was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and held together perfectly on the wedding day. I also decided to change my makeup look last minute and Carli was able to recreate the look effortlessly. The two ladies were extremely punctual even at 545am. They completed the hair and makeup for my large bridal party and everything was completed on time. Everyone looked absolutely incredible and I am so happy I chose Makeup Worx for my wedding day.
