    Amazing is an understatement

    These women made my vision for my bridesmaid and myself a reality. They couldn't have done it better!!!

    Horrible experience

    I don’t usually write reviews especially after the pandemic as I know it has been so hard on all of those people working in the wedding industry but this was such a horrible experience I had to warn others. I have no clue how they have such a good rating on here.

    It’s a long story but I feel I need to share. When I had my trial, I had an artist come do both my hair and make up. The whole time during the trial she kept saying how oily my face was and how greasy my hair was. She didn’t even want to attempt a hair style (I was very open to different looks) opting instead to just curl my hair. I was under a lot of stress and this was probably a hormonal imbalance but she made me feel extremely insecure about myself. My family and friends all said the make up was just “sitting” on my skin. I was an oily mess only two hours after she left. If she was a professional she would’ve had products to deal with my oily skin as I’m not the only person with this issue.

    I contacted the owner and she seemed shocked by all this. Apologizing and offered me another trial with a different artist. We set a day and time… I waited for her to come and she no showed!!

    Then I contacted the owner again and asked for a refund as this was super unprofessional and I had lost hope and desire to continue.

    The owner again apologized extensively and said she would do my make up herself and get a new person to do the hair.

    Trial day came. The make up looked amazing! The owner did a great job. Unfortunately my hair was a disaster. It looked like a wig with the curls starting halfway down my head. It was also very hard to wash out as it was teased and lots of product was put on. I chatted with the owner and she said no problem we will fix it for the wedding day

    Fast forward to the wedding day. None of my bridesmaids nor maid of honour liked their make up. The product was caking into lines on their face and it made them look 10+ years older than they are. She insulted each of them by saying one has “deep wrinkles” and she can’t help that the make up sits like that on her skin… and another has “large pores”, another one was told she has very dry skin. Insult after insult as a means to cover up an inability to work with different skin types. Again, lots of products to help with this! Pore minimizer and good primers to name a few.

    Then it came to me. She had to take off my eye make up and redo it. Getting frustrated with me because I didn’t like it. I loved what she did the first time and yet she wasn’t able to recreate the look. My skin was showing every fine line and wrinkle especially under my eyes. As were all the bridesmaids.

    They came 7:30am in the morning and didn’t finish until 1:00!!! They were an hour and a half late!!! I had emailed well in advance to make sure they know what time we need to be ready by. Our photographer and videographer were standing around waiting. We didn’t even make it off site for our photos because they were so late.

    I had to recurl my hair and of the bridesmaids even had to reglue on a lash only 2 hours after make up was complete.

    But if you can believe it gets even better! The next morning after the wedding I went to shower. My hair was a literal birds nest. I sat in the shower for 2 hours with half a bottle of conditioner and a fine comb, crying while trying to get out all the knots. I ended up have to cut chunks out because it was so tangled. I wish I took photos of my hair as it was hard to believe what my hair looked like.

    I would never recommend this company to anyone! Stay far away.

    I am sorry you feel your experience was not the greatest.

    I will say I have never felt like crying after a booking before and felt so depleted and Dee said the same thing.
    As soon as I walked in, I felt like you were already upset about things like your planner, venue, rental company etc. I felt like dee and I dealt with a lot of your emotions and were treated poorly.

    Again, I am sorry you feel you had a bad experience with us. But Dee and I did Our absolute best to please you and your party.

    Below explains a lot more:

    I understand at the first trial there were some issues and then there was a communication issue with the second trial.

    I, Ashley personally did your final makeup trial and dee did your hair trial at no charge to you of course. We created a look which you were happy with. You said the Makeup was “phenomenal” After you wore it for the day you let me know that you wanted a different type of curl... More of a wave "the Hollywood wave" to be exact. I said not a problem! this is an easy fix, and we can do that on the wedding day.

    On the wedding day we arrived at 730am as planned. There were a few times your bridesmaids had to leave our chair to go run and do something, you left my chair multiple times for a few minutes at a time as well which makes our time off.
    I used all professional grade products including, pore minimizer, oil control primer, moisturizer, Setting spray etc.
    Unfortunately, when asked about certain things in regard to makeup I had to be honest. I cannot Fix dry skin on the spot it takes time to take care of dry skin not a little moisturizer on the day of.
    As for fine line and laugh lines NO one can cover those, when someone laughs its guaranteed there will be creases in the makeup unfortunately, there is not much I can do about that.
    As for pores, I used benefit pore minimizer to help so the foundation would sit nicely on the skin. Sometimes the makeup can go into the pores causing them to look bigger. We try our best to prevent this from happening.
    I used makeup forever foundation, hourglass foundation and Dior foundation depending on who was getting the service and how their skin was.
    I cannot fix certain issues I can only do my best to make sure it looks as good as possible. I was not being rude to your bridesmaid I was explaining to you the reasoning when you complained to me about certain parts of their makeup.
    For example - the bridesmaid with the pores you came in and said it looks cakey and I said, “it does?” I did not think so, but I was like hmmm ill take your word for it – I cleaned her entire face and redid it.
    The funny thing is after I cleaned her face, I started fixing her eyeshadow and your sister came in and said, “her face looks cakey” and I said how does it look cakey? She has nothing on her face right now. And she’s like oh she doesn’t? I’m like no not one bit of makeup is on her face except eyeshadow and lashes. Your sister got up and left.
    When I started putting product on the bridesmaid’s skin I explained to Her as I did each step. I said I am applying this primer benefit pore minimizer and showed her it and said this helps fill the skin so the foundation can sit nicely. She said “oh is that what I should try? I do not usually wear makeup but when I do” I said yes, its always good to have a primer. And our conversation continued with me explaining each step.
    As for yourself. The trial day you LOVED the makeup. On the wedding day I asked you " is there anything you would like added or changed from the trial" you showed me a photo that had gold and dark brown edges and said you wanted something more like this. I said not a problem! But this look is different then your trial. You said that you liked the look in the photo.
    As I started applying makeup to the eyes, I showed you in the mirror to make sure this is what you wanted before I continued. you said this is not what you want and started blaming me... I was only going by the photo you showed me. you said " id like what we did for my trial, this looks nothing like it" I said OK, you told me you wanted the look in the photo so that’s what I did. I will need to remove this and explained to you it was different colours etc. You then said can’t you just try and fix it I don't want to remove it. I said I can try but there are dark edges and this it the wrong colours so it most likely wont work. Anyways, I Attempted as you asked and ended up cleaning it off because it wasn’t working.
    I then proceeded to do what I did at the trial. I asked SEVERAL times if you were happy, you asked your mother and sister as well and everyone said they loved it.
    Yes, I was a bit frustrated because you showed me something different and then started to blame me it wasn’t like your trial... and then I needed to remove the makeup because I needed to redo the whole thing which makes us late.
    As for the bridesmaids... Your one bridesmaid showed me a photo of kylie Jenner and asked for "fox eyes" so I did as she asked, I also asked her at every step to make sure she was happy with the colours etc. Then once I was finished, she asked me to fix the liner and was not explaining what she wanted properly. I finally understood what she was wanting and did exactly what she asked for. She then showed me a photo of her with how she does her own makeup and said I like my makeup like this. And I said to her you showed me a photo of kylie Jenner and told me you wanted fox eyes… This is absolutely nothing like that photo. She then decided to leave my chair and I seen her doing her own makeup in the mirror... and I said to her I can fix it for you, but it was clear she wanted to do it. When I looked at her it was exactly what I did just the wing was a little smaller.

    I always TRIPLE check with everyone to make sure they are happy before I leave.
    As for the hair Dee explained to you about your hair... You said you wanted less of a "poof”, so she put less of a poof. When you looked in the mirror as dee wanted to see your thoughts before putting in the hair piece you said I wanted this to be bigger (the front side poof) and dee said you told me you wanted less… you then said no that is not what I meant. so, dee explained to you that we can make it bigger, but the hair is already in place for teasing, and this will cause a bit of a mess underneath due to the amount of teasing we had to do to make sure the hair stayed in place and create the look you wanted. You said that is fine so dee made the poof bigger. When she finished you said you LOVED your hair and so did everyone else. We also had to tease the hair to put your clip ins in to make sure they were secured.

    Dee also explained to your bridesmaids about their hair and kept saying that the curl needed to be like this to last etc. No one listened to her, and They all kept touching their hair after they said they liked it. So obviously this is going to make the curls fall out and ruin the style.

    I am upset I did not take after photos because you all looked beautiful, and we did our absolute best to make sure you were all happy and looked amazing.

    Again sorry you felt your experience wasn't a good one.
    Overall I hope your wedding day turned out amazing and Congratulations to you and your husband.

    Beautiful hair and makeup

    Will continue using them over and over again

    True professionals. Arrive on time. Communicate in a timely manner and deliver the best hair and makeup services with the best products. They are mobile and are absolutely fantastic as a team. I am forever grateful for my wedding hair and makeup. Exactly like my inspo photos

    Happy with most but one artist

    When I first booked them they were great, super responsive. Trial went really well. Then my husband and I had to postpone our wedding due to covid. Had to email them multiple time to get a response. They moved the date for us. The artist who did my trial was no longer available which made me nervous when I expressed that to them they said they would see what they could do. Luckily they were able to get her for the day of! Thank you Dee! They also accommodated doing my grandmas hair and makeup as I had a bridesmaid who was no longer getting done because she was out of the wedding due to covid.

    On the day of the wedding, they were scheduled from 7am - 130pm. Unfortunately for our time we had to be at the venue at 130 and when asked by one of the 3 artists (who I will leave unnamed) that came, when we needed to be at the venue and I told her we needed to leave at 115, I was met with snippiness. All though this wasn’t the first time she was snippy and rude. She made my wedding day start off on a sour note. Everyone was trying their best to get up as it was 7 in the morning and she kept making comments. She did 5 peoples hair and packed Up and left by 10. 3 out of 5 of the hair she did was falling out and not looking so good by the time we left for the venue.

    Taylor and Dee were awesome, they were friendly and professional. My niece who’s 2 and a half, was super intrigued by everything that was happening. Taylor was a sweetheart and When my niece hoped in for “her turn” which happened a few times, she pretended to do her make up! Once everyone’s make up was done Taylor left, but she made sure everyone was done and taken care of. Dee who originally wasn’t going to be there stayed until the last persons hair was done, made sure everyone was happy before she left.

    All hair and makeUp was done by 1130. So why I was met with rudeness by the one artist I don’t know but it was completely unnecessary.
    If that one artist wasn’t there this review would definitely be better.

    I received your wedding day review and I wanted to apologize for your experience. I am going to speak with the stylist that wasn't being friendly. I have never had a complaint about her before so I am honestly quite shocked and upset by this. She is usually the stylist I receive amazing reviews about.

    I am not sure why the hair was falling out. I did send you a private email to see photos as id like to share with the stylist. as Its unacceptable that the hair didn't last like it should.

    All 3 girls did tell me that they arrived at 7am your start time and no one was awake. so, "the stylist" said "we should start on time to avoid delays' she wasn't meaning to come off rude.

    when we send a start time, we expect the party to be up and ready for us to begin services when we arrive. This is crucial so, we are not waiting around for them to brush their teeth etc. that takes up time we are needing to be sure everyone is ready on time. as you can appreciate, we don't want to have our bridal parties late.
    when we asked what time, you needed to be ready by on your wedding day questionnaire you put 130pm. not that you needed to be at the hall by 130pm. we also send out a confirmation email prior to the wedding date and this was never brought to our attention. if it was we would have changed the timing and had you ready for 1230 as many brides like a breather before stepping into their dress. I am happy everyone was ready on time though.

    As for the wedding date change and the late responses. As you can imagine around that time is when everything was starting to open back up due to covid restrictions starting to lift and we had floods of emails coming in. we tried our best to respond to them in a timely manner. I had to hire on an extra admin to help me take care of all the emails. There was 3 of us between Jan and march catching up on all the emails and changes all our clients were wanting to make and also new bookings. There is now 2 of us responding to all of our emails and that rush has slowed down however, we still have up to a 48-hour response window. (its usually sooner)
    as you know I am usually very responsive to emails and unfortunately during that time it was very overwhelming to keep up on them all as I usually do. so, I do apologize for that.

    I am sorry that you had to start your day with rudeness that is not how we treat our clients. we want to start our clients day with a good vibe and I am sorry that wasn't met by the one stylist. Over all I hope you had a good experience with us.

    Absolutely Outstanding

    Ashley and her team are very professional, absolutely understanding of every situation to do with Covid. The level of service they provide is impeccable and I cannot recommend them enough, from every aspect start to finish Ashley and her team blew my mind. I would 100% use them again, many times over!
