Brina Schenk Art in Fernie, British Columbia, creates quick, one-of-a-kind portrait paintings using watercolours and coloured pencils live at weddings and events. It’s entertaining, exciting, and so special to take home at the end of the night. What makes my portraits different is that I like to include faces in the portraits and focus on the people from the waist up. It's a fun thing to do while the bride and groom is busy taking photos and the guests are mingling, drinking, and enjoying the venue.

Portraits are typically 5" w x 7" h, but I also offer 8" w x 10" h. The larger the portrait, the more time it takes. Smaller portraits can be done in less than 6 minutes and larger portraits might take closer to 10 minutes each. Instead of having the guest(s) sit in front of me, I take reference photos so I can work on multiple paintings at the same time. This will also allow me to work faster!

Brina is a mixed-media artist who lives and works in the Rocky Mountains of Fernie, BC, Canada but she is willing to travel across Canada and beyond.
