Vancouver MC is a unique entertainment company. I started as a DJ, then started to MC and realized that the MC is the most important part of your event. It's easy to ask a cousin to MC your wedding or get the sales guy to lead the event -- but why do that when you have a pro who has done over 700 events and focuses on laughter, interaction and engaging the room?

People need to be united. That's the job of the MC. Not to entertain only but to bring the room together. If you ask your "MC" how he's going to do that, they almost always answer, "I don't know."

The secret is to meet everyone, read the room, and then become the room. Sounds weird, I know, but my secret is to put in time to learn the room—who you are and who your guests are. Once I find out what makes everyone tick, I approach the rest of the evening with a pretty detailed plan.

I come to all events with 10 ideas and interactions but only use what I figure out will work. For the record, music is not entertainment. What people don't realize is that your guests will be in their seats for about 75% of the time.
