After trips to a few other salons I showed up just to browse through dresses with out an appointment. I had no intentions of doing anything more than just looking as I hadn't booked, but they treated me like every other bride in there anyways! I worked with Nadine, who was the best consultant I had while dress shopping, she is friendly personable, and funny. She found my perfect dress as well as other top contenders and kept me under my budget! There was not one point where I felt pressured, or like I was wasting her time. I HIGHLY recommend this salon for finding your dress! Ask for Nadine!

Found my dress at LA Collection, which was my very first stop for dresses. Tried on a few including "the one" but couldn't commit until I shopped around a bit. Came back to LA Collection and bought "the one". Had a great experience there, Jennifer was awesome!

Staff was not friendly

The staff was not at all friendly and the woman helping me go through dresses and try them on was very rude and pushy, also when I would try a dress on she wouldn’t clip it unless we asked her to even though I would be drowning in dress.

I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding. The bride, the maid of honor and 3 bridesmaids came here to buy our dresses. The visits were great when trying to pick dresses and the lady helping us was great. We found a bridesmaid dress that we liked but I had concerns for mine because the dress is sort of backless, meaning I can't wear a bra and I need proper support. I was assured that when the dress came in my size everything would be held up and supported and I definitely wouldn't need a bra. They even clipped the dress on me to give me an idea and the dress was supporting everything without a bra.
One of the ladies, Daphne, came by while I was expressing concerns about needing support without a bra, she assured me that when the dress came it would be fine, she even showed me how alterations could be made where the clips were on the dress. With the way she was confidently advising on what the dress would look like, we believed she was one of the seamstresses. So we decided on that dress as it looked lovely and they took my measurements.
When time came to make the order, they insisted that I order a size up.They said they always order a size up because it's easier to make alterations if the dress is in a larger size, where as they can't really do anything if the dress is too small. I told them the dress I tried was my size and would just need minor alterations, but they insisted that they always order a size up. I took their advise and ordered a size up because they were the professionals that knew better.
When the dress came in it was so big I didn't even have to unzip it to get in and out of it. When the seamstress came to take my measurements for alterations, the dress looked horrible and she said I would need to wear a bra. No matter how much she tried to fit the dress to me, it looked horrible. I wasn't happy. This was almost a week and a half before the wedding, it was too late to go somewhere else and buy another dress. I told the seamstress that the dress did not look like this during the fitting and that even during the fitting the dress was fine without a bra. So we tired on the sample dress and it fit like it did before, because it was my size. We asked if they could switch the dress and they agreed, they even agreed to have it dry cleaned because it was a sample dress that other people had been trying on. Yet it was still a sample dress and not a brand new dress that I had just spent a lot of money on. So I asked for a discount, I expected it. The sign on the window of the store said they were having a 40% sale on sample dresses too. Apparently a discount was unreasonable to them. My friend and I spent a good 30mins, even after the store had closed, going back and forth with Yen.
Yen said the sample dress had been in the store for 3 weeks so she couldn't give me a discount, and besides that, I had already gotten a 15% discount because the bride bought her wedding dress in the store.
1. No one asked for a 15% discount, that's something the store does. It was done when ordering the dress before dress came. The dress still cost over $300 after this 15% discount.
2. A sample dress is not a brand new dress. It doesn't matter if the dress was there for 3 weeks, that's 3 weeks too long. Fact is, it's a used dress. I ordered a brand new dress and was forced to pay the same price for a used dress that I paid for a brand new dress.
I said to Yen that if I had insisted that I order a size up, I wouldn't have been having that conversation with her. I would have accepted the consequences. However, they had insisted that I order a size up, giving me there professional advise, something I wasn't going to do. She kept saying it wasn't her that told me to do that. It doesn't matter which employee insisted I order a size up because they were representing the store. She said the best she could do was take $20 off. I was incredibly insulted by this. The dress was over $300, alterations was over $150 on the SAMPLE dress because they INSISTED I ORDER A SIZE UP and she could only give a $20 discount! I did not take the $20 off because it was incredibly insulting!
It was clear that she did not care about having a happy customer. If I got the new dress it would have looked horrible, if I got the sample dress I was overpaying for a used dress; and in both scenarios I still had to wear a bra that they insisted I wouldn't need. I could have picked a different dress if I had known I would need a bra anyway. Yen still did not care after I pointed this out.
To make things worse, the bride and maid of honor were not happy with their dresses either because L.A Collection had insisted they order a size up too. Alterations didn't help their dresses either.
This store made the wedding preparations more stressful. They clearly don't care. They don't take responsibility for their actions. It's all about the money!

Hi there, here at LA Collection, we take pride in providing our clients with an excellent customer service that is why we would like to say sorry that you felt your experience with us wasn't a pleasurable one.
Let us clarify some of your issues:
1. Sales discount
- LA Collection do offer discount to bridesmaids of the bride who bought her dress from us which to your case we did. The 40% sample dress sale is only applicable to wedding dresses that is over a year old. However, yours is clearly is bridesmaid dress whether it is new or sample dress. For this reason, why we cannot apply such discount.
2. Size ordering
- LA Collection Bridal Sales consultants do give suggestion or make recommendations of what size to order but we never force it to our clients. The sales invoice which you signed clearly states that you confirmed the color and size are correct for the order being placed. We normally take measurement of our client and looked into the designer’s size chart recommendations and confirm back with them, which you did. Please remember that LA Collection Bridal is separate from Alteration department. We do offer alteration services if you buy your gown here or you can search on own for your alteration requirements.
3. Rush order
- We do suggest a rush order to those dresses that at a high risk of not arriving on time or might need more time for alterations. The wedding date is on September 1 this year. You ordered your dress May 16 with rush and the dress arrived here June 27. Our bridal consultant followed up on you and you cancelled your scheduled fittings a couple of times, thus put you in a time constraint situation.
Having said all these, we do feel sorry for the misunderstanding and the negative experience! Best regards.
