A husband and wife team started the Woodbridge, Ontario-based wedding attire company Amanda-Lina’s Sposa Boutique. Having established the business in 1995, the couple holds a vast amount of experience in retail and design. Customers may recognize the name of the store, since being honoured as the home of the television show, Say Yes To The Dress Canada.

Teresa is professional, attentive and wise!

I had a fabulous time trying on wedding dresses with my bridal consultant, Teresa's, guidance. She was so patient and professional throughout the process. The other staff members there were helpful answering my questions and were very communicative about the invoicing, my appointments, and my alterations. Special shout out to Maria for ensuring that the final dress was perfect for me from length to the symmetry on the lace.

Thank you again to Teresa for helping me find “the one”. I love that she was accommodating me AND my mom and pulled exactly what I was looking for. I remember feeling a sense of relief when I said yes to the dress.

I would definitely shop at Amanda-Lina's special occasion section in the future as I know their selections and quality are the real deal.

Incredible Service

My experience with Amanda Linas was above and beyond. My stylist was Nancy and from beginning to end, she was the absolute sweetest and kindest woman. She made my wedding dress dreams come true and made me feel beautiful. She will always have a place in my heart as she truly loves what she does and it shows.

The entire team at Amanda Linas was incredible to work with. Alterations did such a fantastic job with fitting my dress to my body, given that I had lost sudden weight due to wedding stress.

I cannot recommend Amanda Linas enough as they were the epitome of a perfect location to secure a dream dress.

Horrible service

if you get a dress and they say, pick it in 2 wks. It is a lie, you will never get the dress on time, the lady who called me was RUDE(LAUREN). no value for customer, as i told how urgent it was for me. I did not get the dress free, this was the 2nd time i spoke to this lady. She did not let me speak to a manager

I said yes to the dress!

I loved my experience at Amanda-Linas yesterday, maria was my stylist and she found the dress that screamed me! She was very patient, she asked me all kinds of questions to find my dress., she found my dress under my budget. I loved my experience, the shop is beautiful. Just love love! I recommend for every bride to go to Amanda-Linas to find there dress its worth every trip!

Extremely unprofessional - EXCEPT FOR DIANE

My first experience involved an absolutely amazing woman named Diane.There are not enough positive things I could say about Diane, from understanding my needs, being engaging, to her knowledge of the various dresses,designers and absolutely all things bridal. I left with a spring in my step after purchasing my 1st gown. I returned to the store a second time and chose my second gown, again with the assistance of Diane. I had second thoughts about the cut of the dress after looking at it on line, and Diane had me come back in the next day, we decided to go with a different dress which I felt more comfortable in.I enjoyed working with Diane and her knowledge and professionalism. I returned a 3rd time to buy a gown for my daughter,working with Diane.She, was magic with my daughter it was quick and painless.This is where we go from exemplary service to below mediocre.I was contacted that 1 of my dresses was in, along with my daughter’s; my MOH called in to make an appointment for our 1st FITTING and to find a dress for her. July 8th at 10(the day of the Roger's shutdown). Upon arrival,I was greeted in a very unfriendly manner and told we did not have an appointment.The chill coming from Lauren was palpable enough that my 12y.o. noticed.I explained that my MOH had made the appointment, I was told an appointment was scheduled for 11am for a "try on and pick up" I reiterated that it was a fitting by the seamstress.Lauren eventually made it feel like she was moving mountains to " squeeze us in" at 1230 pm, but we would have to be "quick as a VIP bride" had booked the room. I asked repeatedly for Diane as I knew she would sort it out.Due to the Roger's issue, Diane was unable to come in( as were so many affected by this outage). We went nextdoor, found a dress for my MOH(4th dress purchase) At 1230,I proceeded to try on my dress.It did not fit!The associate, told me I needed to lose another 10 pounds and then I was whisked to the back with the seamstresses.On our way back I spoke to Samantha (daughter owner) and let her know just how terrible Lauren had made our entire group feel - can you imagine my shock and awe to be told" this is how she has been trained to be".I put on my dress and was told, sorry it does not fit and we are going to need to do major alterations. And then I was told that my second dress would not be in until the end of the month,and they would not be able to do the alterations they were too busy. At the time of purchase, I’d offered to pay a rush fee in order to receive my dress on time and fitted properly - which I was told no,we had plenty of time.I paid the exorbitant fees for alterations and was told there would be even more fees.I left the store feeling defeated. I reached out to Diane and let her know what was happening -and once her phone was working, she got right back to me.OnJuly 11,I called and left a message for Sam(the owner) asking that he please return my call. I returned to the store on July 12, met Diane,she had me try on my dress again It fit! Nothing had been done, no 10lbs shed. Just the always professional Diane.My 2nd dress had arrived, and it fit. (the other staff told me it wouldn’t) July 14 I called again, left a Vm in Sam’s mailbox, and with Lauren. To this time, Sam has not called. Management does not appear to return phone calls. THANK YOU, DIANE! To the rest – you all need a lesson in professionalism.

Treated the Bride like Gold; Mother of the Bride, not so much..

I found my dream dress online, and of course it's only available at select stores: so we made our way to Amanda-Lina's. I was treated so so well!! Very encouraging experience for me (I'm plus sized, so shopping in general can be a scary experience for me sometimes). However, I felt the woman helping me was incredibly dismissive to my mom. I'm sure they experience an array of people - and I know there is a stereotype with some mother of the brides.. However, I did invite my mother to come shopping with me due to me actually wanting her opinion, and wanting to have these memories and moments with her. She was literally interrupted when giving input on dresses, and she was discouraged from even looking around and picking anything to recommend to me. This left her feeling incredibly hurt and dismissed by the end of the appointment, and it was heartbreaking for us both. I hate that she felt that way - and I wish I had had the clarity at the time to have said something in person: I was too in my own moment to fully take in what was happening. Even my maid of honour noticed the hostility towards my mom from the very beginning of the appointment. It's important for me to address this and be honest!

I will say, they have an amazing selection of dresses (highly recommend anything Madi Lane) - and a great range in prices!! Their boutique is well decorated, stocked, and truly makes you feel like you're the star of the show looking for your dream dress. The staff are knowledgeable and encouraging to brides - love love love that they have a great range in sizes as well! If anything, they have the bride's back 110%

Very Kind Staff

The staff were very kind and helpful, especially after hearing about how the dress I had originally bought from another store was ruined. They have an amazing stock of dresses, including off the rack if you are in a time crunch!

Great selection & Friendly Staff

After visiting a few bridal shops, I wasn’t finding “The One”. I knew my style was a little more non-traditional so I decided to try Amanda Lina’s and sure enough I found it. They had a big range of bridal dresses and a whole other store/section of the store for your bridal party. The only odd thing was that the dress had a different tag than what the actual brand of the dress was. I understand that they are trying to protect their sales but they refused to tell me the actual brand of the dress until I purchased it. The lack of transparency was frustrating but my consultant Teresa helped round out the experience as she was very nice, helpful and honest - I would highly recommend her. Overall, I ended up with the dress of my dreams and got so many compliments on it so it all worked out in the end!

I said yes to the dress!

I am a very picky bride and it was not easy for me to find the perfect dress. I tried couple of stores and was almost on the verge of giving up until I visited Amanda Lina's. The store itself is huge with a variety of dresses all around. And then came the miracle person- Teresa. She was nothing less than an angel, she saw my shortlisted designs, made me try a few was honest to tell me what does not look good and then went and got the dress from one secret corner! Lol. Moment I wore it, I had goosebumps and the moment I walked out of trial room, my friends accompanying me starting tearing up and then I knew this is it! So tip to all brides ask for Treasa. Then I was introduced to Nancy -my consultant for trials and fitting. She is another expert at the store, she was so kind, patient and willing to be around me until I was 100% convinced with alterations. Despite of having knee pains, she would insist on bending down to fix the train on trials. I am in awe of the dedication these two had an how they were not 'just selling'. The store is definitely overpriced but I guess the service you get is worth it!
