Negative grad dress experience - April 2026
We had a very negative experience purchasing my daughter’s prom dress here.
The process began with measurements that were not handled carefully. My daughter was not properly measured when ordering the dress, and sizing decisions appeared to rely largely on what “looked right” rather than a proper fitting process. As a result, the fit through the midsection is only acceptable, not ideal.
It was also not clearly explained at the time of purchase that alterations were only available on weekends. Because my daughter boards away from home during the week, this was a significant constraint that would have affected our decision to purchase the dress at this store had it been communicated clearly.
After the dress was fully paid for, there was also uncertainty about whether it would be ready in time for the event despite the store having the prom date.
At the final fitting and pickup on April 2, we arrived after driving approximately 45 minutes only to be told the hem was not complete and that there would be a two-hour wait. This required us to leave and return later the same day and added further stress very close to prom.
Despite spending over $1,200 on the dress and in-store alterations, our concerns about the measuring process, alterations communication, timing uncertainty, and pickup experience did not feel taken seriously. The only resolution offered by management was a $50 store credit, which did not reflect the impact of the experience.
Overall, this process was far more stressful than it should have been for what is an important milestone event. I hope the store improves its measuring process, communication around alterations availability and timelines, and final pickup readiness so other families do not have a similar experience. -

My Engagement Gown
Jenika assisted my mom and I when we were looking for engagement to wear in India. She was incredibly helpful and showcased a variety of gown in different colours and styles.
Loved the store and the collection they have . It might be pricey but the quality is worth it -

Great selection
I was paired with Maria, from Amanda Lina’s. She was able to make my vision a reality with the selection that she pulled. Maria helped me pick the one and I am so happy I went with Amanda Linas. -

Got my dream dress!
Amandalinas was amazing is helping me find the dress i felt amazing in and that i loved. Had been to a few other shops to try on dresses but was never happy as a bigger girl most shops have the tiny dresses they squeeze you into. I felt like a bride and they were great! Only downside was i wans t able to take a picture in my dress at the shop as no cameras.are allowed so that sucked as all my bridal party was scattered across the country and couldnt see :( -

Amazing Selection and Excellent Service
Amandalina’s has a great selection of gowns. Teresa, our sales assistant, provided excellent customer service. She was incredibly patient, never seemed annoyed, and graciously agrees to me trying on different styles and price points than initially selected. Would never attend again
My first visit was amazing but every after fell short.. from the rude, unaware receptionists to quick, unfriendly seamstress I was very un pleased with my wedding dress shopping process. I paid $1000 for subpar alterations. Save your money and go elsewhere for better customer service!! -

Teresa is professional, attentive and wise!
I had a fabulous time trying on wedding dresses with my bridal consultant, Teresa's, guidance. She was so patient and professional throughout the process. The other staff members there were helpful answering my questions and were very communicative about the invoicing, my appointments, and my alterations. Special shout out to Maria for ensuring that the final dress was perfect for me from length to the symmetry on the lace.
Thank you again to Teresa for helping me find “the one”. I love that she was accommodating me AND my mom and pulled exactly what I was looking for. I remember feeling a sense of relief when I said yes to the dress.
I would definitely shop at Amanda-Lina's special occasion section in the future as I know their selections and quality are the real deal. -

Incredible Service
My experience with Amanda Linas was above and beyond. My stylist was Nancy and from beginning to end, she was the absolute sweetest and kindest woman. She made my wedding dress dreams come true and made me feel beautiful. She will always have a place in my heart as she truly loves what she does and it shows.
The entire team at Amanda Linas was incredible to work with. Alterations did such a fantastic job with fitting my dress to my body, given that I had lost sudden weight due to wedding stress.
I cannot recommend Amanda Linas enough as they were the epitome of a perfect location to secure a dream dress.-
