Soirée Entertainment

Soirée entertainment was everything we could have imagined and more for our special day! We really wanted our guests on the dance floor for a majority of the night and Sam and Gary made it happen. We highly recommend them. We are still getting compliments from our guests about how good the entertainment was. These two will not disappoint you!

I don't even know where to start. Our previous DJ had ghosted us and we were 3 weeks away from our wedding. Our planner had suggested Sam and boy, am I ever glad it all happened this way. Sam was THE best DJ I've ever heard at a wedding (the dance floor was always packed) and he was SO much fun! He interacted with our guests and made himself part of the family as our MC. We are still getting compliments weeks after our wedding. He was extremely responsive all throughout the weeks leading up to our wedding and made sure all the details were set and that we felt comfortable. His services came with a neat app that allowed us to view our entire wedding timeline and we could easily add and remove the music we wanted. Hands down best decision we made was getting Sam as our DJ/MC and we will be suggesting him to all of our friends and family getting married in the future!!

We are so lucky to have had Sam as our DJ. It was a dream working with him in the months leading up to our wedding. He is extremely approachable, very professional and knows how to deliver a fantastic party. Our crowd was not an easy one to please, but Sam rose to the occasion and will have people talking about our wedding for years to come.

If you are searching for a DJ (wedding or otherwise), do yourself a favour and hire Sam / Soiree Entertainment!! Sam was our DJ and MC for our wedding in September, 2019; he certainly exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to host another event requiring DJ services, because he will certainly be my one and only call.

Searching for a DJ is tough. I went to wedding shows, spoke with different DJs and searched online. Having gone to a lot of weddings in the past, I certainly did not want the type of wedding DJ where you have 1 guy manning the "DJ booth" which is basically a laptop set up on a table with very large speakers, playing the cha cha slide to get everyone on their feet, followed by full length songs one after the other. As one DJ I met at a wedding show explained, he was a "wedding DJ" (basically performed as described above) and what I was looking for was a "club DJ". Heck yeah, I wanted a club DJ (or a radio DJ). I wanted someone who could mix songs on the fly and keep the crowd interested. That is EXACTLY what Sam does (go check out his mixes on Instagram @soireedjstoronto).

Sam is young (like not an old man with a CD player...), he has an awesome set up (DJ booth, laptops, speakers), and he knows how to read a crowd and get everyone dancing. He listened to my wants and tailored the music to fit that. I was so impressed and really cannot say enough good things about him!!

With respect to the pricing. All I can say is you get what you pay for. Nevermind if Sam is more expensive than some of the competitors; he is definitely worth it!!

Sam was genuinely the best wedding DJ ever at our wedding last Saturday!!! Our entire guest list, and I mean EVERYONE, including friends, family, old and young, have been raving about him since. I think it has come up in almost every post-wedding conversation. He was so accommodating and aligned all of our genre/track requests. The party was absolutely bumping from start to finish. If we had decided to keep the bar and dance floor open, the party would have by no doubt gone until sunrise. We had a few last minute emergencies, such as our planned centrepiece game falling through. Sam gracefully offered to take it into his own hands and took the initiative to lead a game on his own, which took a lot of stress off of us the day of. He checked in periodically to make sure we were happy with the music and vibe of the party. He even politely declined a request that was on our "must not play list" - very loyal to the bride and groom. I don't even need to recommend Sam to all my friends/peers getting married next because they have already decided they will be stealing my wedding DJ - and I'm quite OK with that!!!

We hired Soiree Entertainment after they provided excellent service to a friend and was recommended to us. We are SO HAPPY we chose Soiree for our backyard wedding. Not only was it an affordable option for us, but they made each part of the experience simple and enjoyable.

Sam was our main contact when contacting Soiree. From the beginning he was organized, easy to communicate with, and thorough. Sam arranged 3 meetings for us (inital, secondary, and final to introduce us to our DJ). During these meeting he would get to know us, our expectations for the night, and review our timeline. He also provided us with a super cool and simple app (made by Soiree) to use for planning. With this app you can arrange the timeline, request songs, add notes, set 'do not play' songs, etc. This made planning efficient and easy.

Mark was our DJ for the night. He absolutely killed it and had people on the dance floor all night!! He played our requested style and if there was a guest request that he wasn't sure I'd be ok with, he would always check in with me first. Not only was Mark a rockstar DJ, but a great person all around. It ended up unexpectedly torrential downpouring on our night. Mark was so flexible and easy going about it, which eased some stress on our end. He was able to adapt to a new setup and kept the party alive! He even stayed a little over time to close out the party.

Soiree Entertainment, Sam, and Mark exceeded our expectations for a DJ service and I would HIGHLY recommend them for your event.

Sam is the man.

He checked all the boxes for our wedding. He can follow your song choice direction, will freestyle if you let him, can do wicked mixes of songs, and is a proficient communicator. Sam also acted as our Emcee and did a great job getting the crowd on their feet, and consistently communicated with my wife and I throughout the evening to ensure we were happy with everything.

The experience with him was a 10/10. I highly recommend DJ Soirée as your DJ!

We had Sam as our DJ for our wedding. Right from the first phone call I knew he was a trustworthy individual who put all the stresses at ease while planning a wedding. We used his app to plan the entire night which made it very easy. He allowed us to have control over the type of music we wanted while other DJs I spoke with before wouldn't allow this. During the reception Sam would regularly check in to see how things were and provide any updates. No stress and definitely one of the best vendors you could hire. I want to thank Sam for filling my wedding day with beautiful music and making the reception so much fun! He knew how to read the crowd and change the music accordingly. He played music that appealed to all the different age groups present. One of my favourite aspects of his service was the cool app that he gets you to download, which allows you to add your own songs under different headings, like "bride processional" or "cocktail hour" (you can add/create your own headings too). This made it so much more convenient to make sure all my favourite songs would be played, and gave me control over what songs would be played and when. His equipment consisted of an elegant white, high-tech DJ booth, which matched my wedding colour theme perfectly and is so much more impressive than the boring black tables that DJs normally bring. Sam himself is so patient, kind and was willing to do anything to make all my wishes for that day come true. His price was also very reasonable compared to other quotes I got, which were much more pricey. I HIGHLY recommend DJ SS (Sam) for not only your wedding but also any other special event.

We hired Sam from Soirée for our wedding and WOW I can not recommend him enough. He DJ’d our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He also was our MC. He was so professional, calm and quick to problem solve any changes to schedule for the day. Our guests were RAVING about the music and our DJ. His talent with music puts him in a league of his own as a DJ. His music selection had guests (and us) up dancing all night under our string lights. He is talented at mixing mashups and remixes too. His new white DJ table is beautiful and adds to the esthetic. He also navigated a tricky sound setup at our venue - ensuring we had sound in every space at our venue which was a building built in the 1900s and had limited outlets and poor wifi. Sam is responsive, friendly, and creative. I would use him again and highly recommend him!!
