From the very beginning, every single person we have come in contact with in this company has demonstrated their commitment to excellent customer service, clear communication, and their love and appreciation for music and event planning. The portal system for requests/playlists is user friendly and convenient. We worked with Jonathon, who is someone who has clearly found his calling in being a DJ. His professionalism, friendliness, and WILDLY IMPRESSIVE problem solving skills are like no other. From our first meeting, we connected with him and knew our reception would be in good hands. He was attentive, thorough, and was genuinely dedicated to making our day the best it could be. He went the extra mile to create personalized mixes, which was just so above and beyond - we were in shock. His after hours communication via email and text was prompt and detailed. If we could rate him higher than "Excellent", we would. Even with the absolutely CHAOS that ensued prior to our ceremony due to a very unfortunate weather event/our tent vendor not doing their job properly, Jonathon (and Tim - thank you so much) pulled everything together in time for both our ceremony and reception to operate on time. We seriously cannot even begin to express our gratitude to not only Jonathon, but MacMillan as a whole. Had we chose any other DJ company, I can't imagine things would have come together the way they did. We will be actively searching for ways to leave glowing reviews everywhere we can, and have told all of our family and friends how impressed we are with the service we have received. We will absolutely be booking MacMillan (and specifically Jonathon) for any future events we are involved in. I’m very delayed in writing this review because I truly wanted to find the right words, and honestly, it’s hard to do justice to how incredible Marc was.

As the maid of honour at my aunt’s wedding, one of my responsibilities from the very beginning was to find the right DJ. I came across the MacMillian Group and was paired with Marc, and from our very first interaction, we knew we were in excellent hands. My aunt and uncle were planning a small but traditional Portuguese wedding, and the music was incredibly important to us. Marc already had experience and a solid selection of Portuguese music, but during our initial virtual meetings, he went the extra mile to ensure he had all the right songs, the ones that truly mattered to the bride and our family. His attention to detail and genuine care immediately gave us complete confidence, and he exceeded every expectation.

From the first song to the final track of the night, Marc read the room flawlessly. He kept the energy high and created a seamless flow that had everyone enjoying themselves from start to finish. There was never a lull or an awkward moment, just nonstop fun and an electric atmosphere that carried the entire evening.

Marc was, without question, the heartbeat of the wedding. Throughout the night, guests kept coming up to us saying things like “this is the best wedding I’ve ever been to” and “now this is a party!” Every single one of them credited the incredible atmosphere, and that atmosphere existed because of Marc. Even when we were running ahead of schedule, he pivoted so smoothly that no one in the room even noticed.

Marc didn’t just play music; he curated an experience. He understood exactly what our crowd needed and delivered beyond anything we could have imagined. If you want a wedding people will still be talking about years from now, Marc is the DJ you need. The bride and groom, and this maid of honour, truly cannot imagine the day without him.

Sam was fantastic — professional, personable, and the perfect fit for our wedding reception. Even our initial virtual meeting was a great experience. He made the entire process easy, answered all our questions, and offered excellent suggestions and advice. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ to keep the night running smoothly and the dance floor full!

From start to finish, David was fantastic. He was proactive and checked in with me regarding timing and music choices every step of the way. He did an amazing job setting up the lights and effects. My guests raved about the music and energy. The only hiccup, was that The Shoe Game did not happen on schedule, which meant that our photographers/videographer were not able to capture this. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the service start to finish. I would definitely recommend David, and Macmillan Entertainment for anyone's big event.

We had such an amazing experience working with MacMillan Entertainment for our wedding! Their online planning portal made everything incredibly easy — from choosing songs for key moments to outlining our event timeline. Our DJ, David, was absolutely phenomenal. Leading up to the big day, he was so communicative and genuinely invested in making sure everything went perfectly. During the wedding, David went far beyond the role of a DJ — he acted as an unofficial coordinator, ensuring we stayed on schedule, the music transitions were flawless, and all our other vendors were supported. The energy he brought to the dance floor was contagious, and he had an incredible ability to read the crowd and keep everyone dancing all night. We received so many compliments on the music and flow of the evening. We can’t recommend David and MacMillan Entertainment highly enough — truly a 10/10 experience!

Was so much fun, Josh the dj always had the room grooving, always knew how to read the room, was also great for our ceremony music too. The photo booth and Ashley were a big hit too, had so many comments about how much fun the Photo Booth is and how nice was!

Our Event went well, and was handled professionally and with care for our special day. The bang for the buck was amazing and the DJ made sure the night kept moving and kept everyone moving. MacMillan was easy to deal with and made the whole process easy and fluid. Value for service was top notch. We had an amazing night and an amazing selection of music.

We decided a few weeks before our wedding at the Walper Hotel that we wanted to add in a DJ to alleviate that stress day-of. It was easy to send a few Spotify playlists and chat with our DJ, Josh, to arrange the day. Josh was there early to ensure everything was set up, and we didn't run into any issues all night. We would recommend using a DJ, and if you are, MacMillan group is great.

Tim at MacMillan Entertainment Group was great to work with. They have a fully online system which makes submitting your song choices super easy!
Sam was our Wedding DJ and he was professional, punctual and friendly. He played all of the requested songs for our ceremony and reception. He kept the dancefloor full all night!
