With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Bob Taunton is the highly qualified owner of Octave Entertainment. A member of the Canadian Professional Disc Jockey Association, Bob’s services are fully insured, and he uses only CONNECT Music-licensed tracks. Located in Morrisburg, Ontario, Octave Entertainment can provide services for events as large as 500 people. To ensure that your musical tastes are covered, Bob offers a wide range of music genres, including country, electronic, hip-hop, international, jazz, oldies, pop, and much more.

Services offered

Complete wedding day packages that include ceremony sound and music are also available. Octave Entertainment does one event per day and offers a do-not-play list. A professional and high-powered sound system is used for all events, along with backup equipment in case of any emergency or unforeseen circumstances. Bob has a large collection of music supplemented by a subscription to the Promo Only Canada Music Pool.

Danced all night!

It was a pleasure working with Bob for our wedding! From beginning to the end, he was always extremely responsive. His software helped us to keep organized with all the details of the wedding, which he went over carefully with us during the final meeting. There was a specific version of a song that I wanted to use during the ceremony, and Bob was able to find it, which was so appreciated. He was professional and made sure everything went perfectly that day. We and our guests had an amazing time and we danced all night long. Thank you Bob!!

Simply Amazing! Highly Recommend!

Amazing! I got married in August 2023, and during my planning I came across Octave Entertainment. I originally decided to go with this company based off the years of experience and glowing reviews Bob had online. After our first meeting discussing our wedding we quickly saw Bob's passion for music and his great personality!

Our wedding was absolutely perfect, and Bob played a huge part in that! He was our MC and DJ and I must say we had TONS of complements about Bob and his work. He kept everyone engaged, happy and having fun on and off the dance floor! We also had last minute changes (an additional speech to add in, and change of plans during the night) and it was flawless! He made sure to check with us if someone had a request or wanted to do something that wasn't in our schedule!

He puts a lot of work into making sure your day goes just how you want, with his easy to use website used for planning, timelines, and music!

Highly recommend if you are looking for a DJ/MC for a wedding or other events!

Bob is the best!

We had the opportunity to have Bob at Octave Entertainment provide his services at our wedding and he did not disappoint. Not only is he knowledgeable in his field of work he is also very attentive to detail when dealing with clients and their requests. The system he uses to plan out your day is very user friendly and easy to use. If you choose Bob for your wedding i promise you, you wont be disappointed! Great DJ Services!

Octave Entertainment provided DJ services for our wedding. Bob was great to work with, and extremely professional and organized from the day we reached out to start the planning process! Our confidence in Bob taking care of the music was a huge stress reliever and made the entire day and night so much more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Simply Amazing!

We had the pleasure of hiring Octave Entertainment for our wedding in August 2021.
We met Bob at friends wedding in 2020 and he was great, we are very grateful that our wedding date opened up and that we managed to book Bob.
He made it very simple to organize what we wanted via his website.
He even has a suggestion list of songs to choose from if you’re uncertain of what you would like for those special dances.
Bob showed up early to set up and made sure the evening went smoothly with the right music at the right time.
We would definitely recommend Octave Entertainment/Bob to anyone who is looking for a DJ.

Octave is amazing

Where to begin !!! We had Bob booked for probably over two years due to the pandemic and rescheduling ! From the very beginning he was so accommodating, friendly and professional and was always there to answer any questions we had!
When it came to the big day Bob was our DJ and MC! All day he made sure everything was running smoothly and is AMAZING on the mic speaking to guests and hyping everyone up! Fast forward to dance time !!! He made sure the party was bumping and the dance floor was never empty ! He listened to our requests and played the best tunes!
I would recommend Octave to anyone that is having a wedding or big event and Hope to see/work with Bob again in the future!

Fantastic!

There's a reason Bob has 22 perfect reviews here. He really is excellent. He is extremely responsive to emails and was very accommodating of our last-minute changes (the venue changed at the last minute due to COVID regulations).

We hired Bob to play the ceremony music for our wedding on July 10, 2021. Because of COVID restrictions at the time, we didn't have a DJ for the reception. Bob was very helpful beforehand - he knew where things should be set up and had helpful suggestions for pre-ceremony music. On the day-of, he showed up early to make sure everything was set up well ahead of time. The transitions during the ceremony were seamless and timed perfectly. Out of any of our vendors, we would, without hesitation, recommend Bob the most highly. Thank you Bob!

Awesome service for a fun wedding!

Bob was amazing from start to finish. He is professional and knowledgeable. He was great in the initial planning phase. His online platform is o easy to use. He was very responsive to any questions and was extremely helpful to this unsure bride about developing a timeline! He did an amazing job at our wedding. His work as an MC was perfect. He kept everything light and fun and really knew how to command the room. The dance floor was always full. People raved about him to us afterwards! He also really took the day in stride. We had a few delays and issues but he made it all work and adjusted his timeline accordingly. Hire him! You won’t be disappointed!

Excellent DJ!!

Our wedding would not have been what it was without Bob and Octave Entertainment. He supplied music for our ceremony and the reception/dance. These were at different venues about 10 minutes (by car) apart. He handled the two events with professionalism and fun. He was a calming presence when we needed it. He was able to find and play some of our more obscure music requests, some at the last minute while we were already on the dance floor. As an example, we found music that we wanted in our ceremony from a YouTube clip. He is not allowed to use YouTube clips, but he tracked down the original artist and got the legal music straight from the artist!! He also handled a last-minute microphone request with ease. We would use him again in a heartbeat!

Amazing DJ - Highly Recommend!

Bob DJ'd our wedding and also MC'd as well. He was so professional, but also friendly and approachable. I received a lot of compliments about the DJ. He made the night breeze by effortlessly, adhered to the timeline, kept things running smoothly. Much more value than a standard DJ. Music selection was very vast (including our French speaking family). The dance floor was never empty.
