Kilusan Productions is a small arts and wedding entertainment business based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. They have performed as DJs and dancers throughout North America, working primarily in Winnipeg and Toronto, Canada. Owner Maribeth Tabanera AKA Kilusan (siya/sanda/they/she), is a Tagalog Bisaya Filipino queer, non-binary multi-disciplinary artist, educator and community organizer. Kilusan is passionate about the arts and community building; they love to work with couples and event planners to co-create a soundscape and dance party unique to their special night.

A recreational and competitive street-style dancer for over 25 years, Kilusan’s training includes breaking, hip-hop, house, dancehall, and vogue. Their musical library contains genres such as hip hop, R&B, soul, funk, house, jazz, top 40, and more. Since 2018, Kilusan has worked as an open-format DJ and performed alongside Kimmortal, Begonia, Scratch Bastid, and DJ Maseo (De La Soul). Kilusan has danced, hosted, and DJed small private parties, weddings, community events, corporate conferences, music festivals, and large stadium shows. Past clients include Winnipeg Sea Bears Basketball, Winnipeg Art Gallery, Pride Winnipeg, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Special Olympics Manitoba, Pinay Tayo Toronto, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, and Big Picture Learning (US).

A lifelong learner, they have focused their energy on diving deeply into their passions: dance, education, DJing, and community building. In October 2025, Maribeth graduated from the University of Toronto, O.I.S.E. MEd program from the Department of Social Justice Education. Maribeth has been a public school educator and an artist facilitator for over a decade. They have served on several non-profit boards most recently, Manitoba Music and Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists/West. She has presented her work as an educator, dancer, and DJ at events all over Turtle Island (North America).

Through unique, inclusive and community-minded education, dance, DJing, production, and event organizing, Kilusan Productions strives to cultivate a grassroots contemporary art movement rooted in social responsibility and mutual solidarity in Winnipeg and abroad.
