Absolute Sounds is a premium full service DJ company based out of Peterborough, Ontario. We do about 130-150 events each year for the past 8 years. If you are looking for someone with a passion for weddings, you have found the right company. We surround ourselves with everything wedding. We provide DJ, MC, PhotoBooth, Lighting AND Officiant services. We take control of your planning to make sure your day flows just the way you want it to highlight all of your special moments.
The team at Absolute Sounds consists of professional entertainers, DJs, and masters of ceremonies. All of our DJs have an extentive knowledge and passion for all types of music! Absolute Sounds owns a collection of more than 80,000 songs that are perfectly suitable to play for any age group. If there is a song you would like that we dont have- we will buy it for your event!
What makes us different and unique from other DJ companies is that we have a planning app for your smartphone! This makes your planning process that much easier and takes away loads of stress you could be having. We will help you coordinate every aspect of music on your wedding day, everywhere from your Pre- Ceremony music- down to your last dance.

We are so glad we chose Absolute Sounds as a vendor. We went for the DJ and MC package. I wasn't too sure if we wanted to spend the extra money on an MC, but it was definitely worth it! Rebecca, our MC, was excellent. It was so nice to have someone else making sure we got to all the aspects of the reception (like cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc.), and we didn't have to stress about the timing at all. Rebecca went the extra mile and saw that I had spilled food on my dress and went to the bathroom to get some paper towel for me.
Our guests loved the grand entrance, where each wedding party member was introduced.
The music for the dance was great. Our DJ played so many of the songs we had on our list, and the songs that filled out the evening were in the same kind of tone.
We are so happy with our experience with Absolute Sounds. Gerald was very responsive by email, very friendly, and it was our first virtual meeting with him that really sold us on using their company. -

I cannot recommend Jerry and his team enough! We booked him as our officiant and master of ceremonies. There is an app that makes everything so seamless and easy- from personalizing vows to choosing selecting songs for the day. Our guests really enjoyed his MC’ing and he kept the day running smoothly. -

Our DJ did not disappoint!! With some concerns of our small wedding being boring during the reception, Rebecca, our DJ was able to keep the dance floor busy!! They were happy to take requests and somehow played all of my favourite music without being given an exact list! Their professionalism and excellence at their work is above and beyond, I would highly recommend them, it's worth your money!! -

The app that they have is pure scheduling bliss! It not only helps you plan out what time everything should be at but how many songs and what other brides have done. It truest made customizing our wedding easy.
Jerry and his team are great people, super easy to work with and they will make sure nothing has been forgotten.
The price is more than your typical DJ but it was worth it as we had some areas of them wedding without hydro (in our forest chapel) and you would have never noticed as everything went off without a hitch. The sound was also clear, the perfect volume and they provided an extra mix for our MC and officiant to use throughout the wedding.
If you’re someone that loves planning or personalization this is the absolute perfect company for you! -

Jerry is extremely nice and helpful with ideas and questions you may have. Their online client portal for you to choose your songs of choice is very user friendly and helps keep everything straight forward. I'm pretty sure the dance floor was packed all night! Which means the music was GREAT! We also hired a photo booth through them as well which was a huge hit and all the guests loved it! Everyone keeps telling us what a great time they had at the wedding and probably the most fun they've had at a wedding!! Thanks for the amazing services!!

Renee B. Married on 05/08/2017Absolute Sounds did a phenomenal job at our wedding. We hired them for our August 2017 wedding for DJ services and for the basic dance floor lights package. They were easy to contact before the wedding and were very flexible and understanding. The DJ that attended our event was professional and was able to adapt easily to the slightly changed schedule due to the ceremony starting latter than anticipated. The DJ played music before the ceremony, during the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and finally for the dance portion of the wedding. What I like in particular about absolute sounds is that they allow you to select a number of songs for the wedding including dance floor music. They have a website that allows you to select the songs you like and make a timeline for your wedding which was pretty handy. We picked a lot of obscure music especially for the ceremony and they were still able to get the tracks and play it at our wedding, very impressive! Most importantly the dance floor was packed all night, I’m not sure if I have attended a wedding before with such a packed dance floor. If you’re looking for a DJ for your wedding I would highly recommend going with Absolute Sounds.
