Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Forage Catering is a company that specializes in fine catering services for wedding receptions and other special events. Since 2012, Chef Chris Whittaker has driven the sustainability and eco-conscious food scene forward in the city, making his services perfect for eco-friendly brides and grooms.
Chris has been awarded with the Vancouver Magazine’s Green Award and Where Magazine’s Green Table Network Award as well. He has also been recently included to the BC Restaurant & Food Service Association Hall of Fame and is also a member of the Chefs’ Table Society.

The food was amazing! Everyone complimented us on how tasty everything was. We went for family style which I highly recommend. I'm honestly getting hungry just thinking about it. The staff was amazing, the bartenders knowledgeable. If you are looking at having local tasty West Coast food you cannot go wrong with them!

From the very beginning it was clear that it had to be Forage. Food and service were at the top of our priorities and the Forage team didn’t just meet our (very high) expectations, they blew them out of the water from the very beginning.
One of the things that makes Forage so special is the team of people that they have put together.
Allison the catering manager was a great person to have in our corner and working with her was effortless. Based on a few short conversations, she understood the vibe and ambiance we wanted at our wedding. She and the Chef worked with us to create an incredible menu that our guests still talk about. Julianna, the Catering Operations Manager brought her experience and passion to every aspect of the event, and went above and beyond to make sure that the event was flawless. You won’t find anyone harder working, more dedicated or more supportive than Julianna. Julianna and Alison also took the lead with a couple other vendors to make sure our day went off without a hitch and nothing was missed!
On the big day Julianna and her team delivered exceptional service; another frequent topic of conversation with our wedding guests. It was great to be able to relax knowing that with her crew our guests were being taken care of. Our wedding wouldn’t have been what it was without the Forage team, and we can’t tell you how much we appreciate it.

Varieties of food munes, everything was amazing! Surf and turf, they were open to menu changes. Which was helpful. Food quality was excellent. Our venue "The view on Lonsdale" has wedding plus catering from here, check it out!

Amazing food and service
When our wedding planner asked us about the type of food we wanted to have at the wedding we basically told her wanted something phenomenal. Our wedding mantra was having a good party that incorporated great food and music in a beautiful space. Being both very interested in food and cooking, one of the big reasons we picked a blank canvas for a venue was so that we would not be limited by food choices. Knowing our tastes she suggested a few different caterers and heavily suggested Forage, which were the last people we met with and they did not disappoint! We had our tasting at the restaurant location and were able to pick through a number of different items and make modifications and suggestions. Not only was the food absolutely delicious and in our opinion much much better than the other catered food we tried, we found it to be far more reasonably priced. Ally and the team at Forage was so accommodating to make dishes accessible to both our Hindu and Kosher guests. We were able to request and suggest other things not on the menu and incorporate fun elements like a risotto-finished-in-a-parmesan-wheel-station, our server at the tasting also suggested and came up with the most delicious signature cocktail. Our guests were blown away by the food served at our wedding as were we (and the staff at Forage was so lovely as to bring us a sampling of all the appetizers when we sat down in case we had missed out during cocktail hour). I would highly recommend Forage for any catered event, the food and service were above what we expected.

Amazing food, fantastic service!
If your goal is to serve an excellent (and I do mean excellent) meal on your big day, go with Forage. They are worth every dollar. We worked very closely with the event coordinator, and she was very patient and willing to work with us and our budget. In the end, we went above what we wanted to spend, but we felt like we got great value. The service was excellent. The bartender crafted some amazing drinks on the fly (beyond our cocktail menu) and SO many of our guests mentioned how good he was. And the FOOD. The food was hands-down the most commented-on aspect of our wedding. One guest said it ranked in his top 5 meals EVER. My husband and I love good food and drink, so it really helped the day feel like "us." All-in-all, couldn't recommend them more.
