The best night of our lives!

We can't say enough about Triwood. Renee and her team came together and made it a perfect night to remember. The food was fantastic, Renee was such a huge help and was always there to help from the start, right to the finish line.

The venue itself is stunning and so easy to decorate to suit your theme. It has 2 big rooms so you have plenty of space to do your entire wedding including ceremony or, as we did, separate areas for cocktail hour and reception.

We were planning from out of province so I think the biggest thing for me was how professional, helpful and amazing Renee, Jennifer amd the whole team were to work with.

5 out of 5 for sure

Amazing Venue

My parents were married here years ago and this was the first venue we checked out. Fell inlove immediately and booked. It was beautiful and exactly what we needed and wanted.
We didn't use their catering as we wanted something different, but we did book their bar and bartenders, and paid their corkage fee.

We also didn't book the evening prior or day after for clean up and this all in one day.
I believe their pricing and such have changed after we booked, so definitely check out their website. but we would highly recommend this venue regardless.

Everyone we communicated with was super nice and very quick to respond. All questions were answered, and we had a TON. 😆

It was beautiful!

A beautiful venue with great value!

Triwood was a dream to work with for our wedding. Renee and Jennifer were both extremely helpful, responsive, and professional in all of our dealings. The value of services for the price is unmatched and the banquet hall is beautiful with floor to ceiling windows making it a dream for natural lighting. Set up and take down of essentials (chairs, tables, tablecloths, dinnerware, garbage, including room turnover) was all included which was absolutely amazing and something you have to do for yourself at many other venues of similar price range. There are options for both hosting your own bar or having cash bar, or a mix of the two. They allowed us to bring our own table wine and have a cash bar which was a great compromise. The food was great. The guests had nothing but great things to say. I highly recommend this venue and team to work with for your wedding.

Amazing Service!

We booked with Triwood over the summer for our upcoming wedding this winter. Jennifer was amazing in responding, letting us know the restrictions, and quick to answer any questions. Unfortunately due to the pandemic we are not able to have our reception with Triwood but they were so understanding and we were able to cancel with not hassle. I was so looking forward to having our wedding here but this covid thing just won’t allow. Looking forward to using triwood in the future sometime. Jennifer is the best and the space is pretty and such a good deal! I have no doubt they would have provided us a wonderful party!

Beautiful and spacious venue. Easy setup/take down. Tasty food. Great value.

We rented both halls for a 95ppl wedding reception. The Charleswood hall had plenty of natural lighting. The string lights on the curtains were beautiful. The staff took care of setting up tables and taking down which made our life a lot easier. We had access to the venue the afternoon prior to the wedding to set up the decors. With help from a few family members and my wedding coordinator, we put out center pieces, photos and other decors in just a couple of hours. The in-house catering team was brilliant. Food was delicious and service was friendly and quick. The late night poutine buffet was an absolute hit! The Charleswood hall had plenty of space to dance. Sound was great. We used our own liquor and hired bartenders from Triwood. Both corkage fee and bartender wage were reasonable. We had a blast at the wedding reception!

Wedding Success

Triwood Community Association is a terrific place to host a wedding. They were a one stop shop for all our needs. They set up and take down all the tables with linens and provide in house catering that our guests are still raving about. The big windows are terrific especially with the twinkle lights at night.
They supply the bartender and ticket seller as well as the staff to bus tables post buffet. Everyone was a joy to deal with. We even booked the dj that they have flyers for in the hall and you get a discount for using them. They were the cheapest option I could find when researching and were also stellar.
We are so happy with everything and how it turned out. Thank you so much to all the staff that made our day a huge success.

Great bang for your buck

Triwood Community Association was wonderful. They where quick to respond to all our needs. They went above the beyond for us. The cheaper price did not mean a lesser quality, if anything I thought that the quality of the food, and the service people was excellent.

We had our 120 person wedding at Triwood. The venue is affordable, but still has incredible potential and delicious food. Alex, the event planner, was very responsive and ensured all of our needs were met. The food was delicious and table service was great - very friendly staff! The venue included table linens and beautiful hanging string lights next to the tall windows, which looked beautiful during both the day and night of the reception.

Ended up canceling

We had the worst time dealing with Triwood that we ended up canceling. It always took weeks to get a response via email from the events coordinator and I would even try to call and it would go to voicemail and I would get a response via email. I actually had to go to the manager of the facility to get my questions answered at one point. We were pretty put out by the professionalism as you would think if you are hosting weddings and paying a significant amount of money then you could at least get a 2-5 business day MAX response time. The prices were upped right after we booked and we had to pay the new implemented ones. We ended up asking for a refund due to covid and the headache that we experienced through the booking and the last year of communication. The place is beautiful but it wasn’t worth the headache in my opinion.

The good and bad

The good -
We had our ceremony and reception at Triwood, renting the 2 halls.
This was a beautiful venue, the lighting is stunning and it helped make our day easier.
The food was amazing and the caterers were flexible with the changing covid times.

The bad-
If you thrive on communication, I suggest look away.

We had issues getting ahold of triwood to start, we finally got a viewing and loved it. Jennifer went over the top to help us because we were out of town, even coming in on days off.
As soon as we got the deposit down the communication began to lack.
We were planning this wedding during Covid so I blame that partially, we had to zig and zag alot.
There was multiple instances where I had to send multiple messages to get an answer. Sending multiple requests for quotes, and time sensitive things.
Once I got Jennifer's cell phone number a month prior to the wedding, it got better and also worse. It felt like my time ment nothing, multiple questions left unanswered or "read" deadlines promised and not fulfilled.
Jennifer did come through as our day of coordinator helping set up the hall and making things perfect for us.
The most frustrating part was after the wedding, in regards to getting our deposit back. We signed signed contract stating we would receive it back within 2 weeks or 10 buisness days.
We didn't recieve our money back until almost a month later.
We planned this wedding ourselves, we didn't have a wedding planner, and we also lived 6 hours away, making the lapse in communication extremely frustrating.
Our wedding was the best day of my life, and I wouldn't change the venue for anything, things just need to be managed better.

I heard amazing things prior to booking with triwood and Jennifer which made us more excited to book them and I'm wondering where that changed.
