We held our 80-person wedding at Newlands Club this past weekend (Jan 10) and it was the wedding of our dreams! The team at Newlands truly operates at a masterclass level when it comes to hosting weddings. As a gay couple, we were unsure how we would be received but they couldn't have made us more comfortable. The professionalism and customization offered for their wedding packages ensure everyone who books here will receive exactly what they want. We booked the Conservatory Ballroom and while we were unsure if we truly needed such a large space for an intimate gathering, we are so glad we booked it. The glass panels provide such a beautiful backdrop to the ceremony and reception combined with the fact that we added the fairy light details to make it feel as if we are in a snow globe. Lisa from the design studio really helped us along the way to navigate how our vision would be executed in the Newlands fashion and she couldn't have done a better job!

The food was incredible as well, we had the boneless lemongrass chicken, chana masala curry, herb-crusted snapper and carved lamb. My only complaint is that I didn't eat more! Sal, our Room Captain made sure that the tables were fed in a nice order and the service was amazing. My one caveat was the bar, it was a fairly simple bar service more so offering highball-type drinks with limited capacity for more intricate cocktails. There was, however, an offering of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic punch during the room flip which kept our guests happy while we took photos; in addition to wine bottles on each table and a champagne toast.

Speaking of photos, Sherri was the best photographer we could have asked for. We also got our engagement photos done with her and she offered such expertise in lighting and posing. On our actual wedding day, she helped us with location selection and we couldn't have been happier with the sneak peaks we have seen so far! We also opted for the photo booth which was such a hit with our guests so totally recommend that!

As for the music, which is so important, Linda and DJ Anesh were incredible! Music at weddings can be hard, but Anesh made sure the vibes were immaculate and everyone was dancing all night!

And finally, Charlene, our Wedding/Event Coordinator truly went above and beyond! Answering our 1,000,000 emails and even helping us get to our different shooting locations. She helped line us up when it was time to go and helped ensure the wedding went flawlessly. The team at Newlands truly does an incredible job and we would 1,000,000% recommend it for anyone looking to take the pain out of weddings and just basically show up! The all-inclusive option made it so painless, we truly just had to tell them what we wanted and they made it all happen.

My now husband and i booked Newlands back in 2023 when we got engaged! they were amazing and the fact that it included everything was a big stressor off me! they were very attentive when it came to the certain decor and sign touches i included! Jessalyn and her team were fantastic I'm OCD and they had everything set up just how i imagined it all and took my organization in stride! they even helped accommodate me when my picture venu fell thru due to weather! any questions or concerns i had Jessalyn was there to help me! our room captain Paul was amazing he was super attentive and was always checking in! he made it all come together even better when we were ahead of the time line set and started us off eating early! the night was one to remember!

We had our wedding in January 2025. We were drawn to Newlands because of the Conservatory Ballroom. After meeting with our wedding planner, Jessalyn, and going over what would be included for our wedding, we knew this was the venue for us. The Newlands teams will ensure that your wedding will be unique and to your vision. It's perfect for couples who are looking to have some help but also get the flexibility and options (but not too many where it gets overwhelming). Jessalyn always provided quick responses to our questions, helped coordinate with the other Newlands Team (Photography, Design, Catering) and stepped in wherever she needed to be on the day of our wedding, to ensure the day went by smoothly. We were happy with all aspects of our wedding. :)

Our wedding at Newlands Golf & Country Club was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and the venue itself was stunning, just like we had envisioned.
The attention to detail was remarkable, and every aspect of the day flowed seamlessly. Our guests were impressed, and we received countless compliments on the beautiful setting and excellent service. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!

Overall, our wedding was amazing. From my coordinator, Traci, to our photographer Michelle (with Sherry’s assistance), Lisa’s beautiful decorations, Linda our DJ who guided me through the music selection, Heera our helpful captain who ensured we had our meals, and Ian our friendly videographer—each contributed to making our day special.

The food was good too was excellent and the guests loved it according to them.

If you’re seeking a less stressful wedding planning experience, I highly recommend this company. They provide a comprehensive package, eliminating the need to find separate vendors. However, one consideration is that while the package is all-inclusive, certain services, like obtaining copies of photographs, may require an additional fee.

One aspect I might have approached differently is the table arrangement. I didn’t anticipate that Table #2 would be a bit farther from me than expected. It would have been nice to have arranged the seating differently.

But all in all, it was a fun wedding, and our guests thoroughly enjoyed everything.

Their DJ Karan was amazing even though he was not Persian and almost all of our songs were Iranian.

The catering was exquisite—our guests are still raving about the delicious menu options we had. Our cake was beautiful and delicious. Our room captain was amazing, I cant say enough good things about them.

My son and his wife got married late summer at Newlands. The Fairmont ballroom was transformed beyond our wildest expectations. Charlene was Bryce and mackenzie's coordinator, she was friendly and easy to work with. Lisa and the design studio, come on people, she's next level, the best of the best! Bryce and Mackenzie were blown away with the beautiful decor and florals and our guests are still talking about how beautiful everything was. Heera was The banquet captain, his professionalism and attention to detail was top-notch. The food was amazing and the DJ kept our guest dancing the night away! It is also important for us to give a huge shout out to Judy, she has a special way about her and we will forever be grateful for her showering us with her kindness. It is a parent's dream to be able to host a wedding for their children that will leave a lasting impression, and with the help of everyone at Newlands, we will hold near and dear to our heart the beautiful memories made. Our photographer Sherri was amazing! Our photos turned out so good and just how we wanted even though there was rain. The day went smoothly thanks to everyone working there and the decor was beautiful and exactly what we wanted.

My wife and I got married at Newlands in the Conservatory Ballroom almost 30 years ago, my brother got married at Newlands in the Copper Ballroom 17 years ago, and my daughter got married at Newlands in the Cypress Ballroom last weekend.

For my daughter's wedding, multiple guests said it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. Our coordinator Charlene was excellent, keeping us on track and being very responsive to questions. On the day, our room captain Gustavo was super amazing and professional, and he even helped us carry the gifts to our car at the end. The photographer was also very good and everyone loved working with her. The DJ was practically invisible in that everything just worked without a single hiccup. The room and the decorations and the flowers were beautiful. I'd attach some pictures but they don't really do it justice, since the camera adjusts the lighting and it looks very different than it did in person.

We had both the ceremony and the reception there, as well as the rehearsal dinner the previous night. It was great to have the lounge upstairs for people to relax in between the ceremony and reception. The rehearsal dinner on Friday night was an especially pleasant surprise thanks to the live music and lots of people dancing adding to the overall party-like atmosphere.
