Mt. Norquay Banff is a ski resort located in Banff, Alberta, specializing in hosting weddings in its beautiful mountain site. Couples can imagine hosting their nuptial event among 24,000 square feet of event space located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. The venue is fitted with a timber frame and includes large outdoor patios and indoor areas. Facilities and Capacity
Mt. Norquay Banff offers two event spaces for couples to choose from on the special day. The pair-of-honour may opt to wed outdoors, allowing the majestic mountains to serve as the wedding day backdrop. Outdoor ceremony sites include Lone Pine Lawn, available from July to October, and the Cascade Lodge Patio. Kika's Cafe is an indoor space with a capacity of up to 120 guests. Lone Pine is the second and largest indoor facility to host up to 220 friends and family for a lavish celebration.
Services Offered
Mt. Norquay Banff's dedicated service team ensures the wedding day is carefully planned and executed to perfection. Services include event rental items such as chairs, a portable dance floor, podiums, signing tables, and water stations. The venue allows full use of its furnishings, allowing couples to decorate the space effortlessly. Plates and silverware are also available to embellish the banquet tables. The team also carries out the setup, so couples can relax and unwind when preparing for the day to begin. The venue also has an in-house sound system to play background music between events.
Cuisine
The venue provides all of the food and beverage supplies for the day and allows outside vendors to bring the wedding cake and other specialty items. Catering options include a la carte menu items, dinner buffets, plated dinner menus, food stations, and more.

Stunning Mountain Retreat Wedding
We had an amazing experience with Teha and the team at Mount Norquay as our wedding venue. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Most of our guests came from out of province, so we wanted a venue that had some amazing Alberta Rocky Mountain charm.
Teha worked closely with us to create a custom menu that fit our budget and included several unique touches — a live oyster station, Shaft drink toast, champagne on the lawn before the ceremony, and other special details that made the day feel so personal. The tenderloin and salmon were both outstanding, and we received countless compliments from our guests about the food.
The bartenders were efficient, friendly, and kept the line moving all night. The venue setup was also seamless, with both indoor and outdoor spaces available so everything flowed beautifully. When a bit of afternoon rain passed through, Teha and her team quickly coordinated to wipe down all the chairs so we could still have our outdoor ceremony — something that meant a lot to us.
We couldn’t have asked for a better team or a more beautiful experience. Highly recommend Mount Norquay for anyone planning a wedding in Banff!

Mount Norquay and Teha helped make our day amazing.
Teha was helpful throughout the planning process, providing helpful feedback and options. She was also responsive and was able to accomodate alot of requests including dietary intolerances and decorating decisions. The venue itself looked great on the day with lighting included and decorative curtains added that gave it a special touch. The venue itself is beautiful no matter what as it is in the mountains, but the extra details added to the day. We had some guests arriving quite early prior to the ceremony and were able to provide them with beverages, bathrooms, etc so that they were comfortable. The food was amazing from the hors douvres to the mains, with lots of compliments about the dessert and late night snack. My guests were really impressed with the list of cocktails served at cocktail hour and the servers did a great job ensuring our cups were full of water and wine during dinner. Overall an amazing day and I can't thank them enough, they were even helpful the next day when we came to pick up decorative items.

Beautiful setting for mountain wedding!
Mt Norquay was everything we were looking for in a venue - beautiful outdoor setting for the ceremony, warm woodsy space for the reception, professional and truly helpful staff, and delicious food! Teha and her team made sure our day ran smoothly and were a great help leading up to the day recommending additional vendors that have worked in the space in the past. Food was amazing and the dance floor space was perfect - we had lots of compliments from guests on both following the big day. The outdoor patio space was also awesome for dance floor breaks. Thank you for an awesome wedding day!!

The Perfect Venue!
We recently had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding at this venue, and I can't recommend it highly enough! The views are absolutely stunning, providing a beautiful backdrop for any occasion. Teha was a fantastic point of contact throughout the planning process. Her communication was clear and timely, ensuring that all our needs were met seamlessly.

Perfect venue!
Our wedding at Norquay in the Lone Pine room was nothing short of amazing. Teha and the whole team are clearly highly experienced in running weddings, anticipating our needs and accommodating all requests. The service team went above and beyond to keep the evening running smoothly. We received endless compliments on how seamlessly everything ran, thanks to the venue and Norquay team. The lodge provided a beautiful, comfortable space for guests, and the resort was a perfect backdrop for photos. The food was incredible—planning with Teha was super easy and guests RAVED about each course. We could not have been happier with choosing Norquay.

Exceptional staff !
The manager was more than accommodating when our planner forgot to tell them a few details ( like champagne bottles at the head table) he went out of his way to get those bottles and upgraded a bottle to a very nice expensive one. He also went out of his way to get the chefs to make some chicken fingers and french fries for all the kids that were under 6 that attended (they weren't into the fancy food) that our wedding planner also forgot to mention to him that it would be kids meals. End of the day he and his staff for the reception were exceptional! We were absolutely thrilled that the were able to do everything in a quick pinch and we're appreciate it !

Great hidden Gem!
My daughter and now husband chose Mt. Norquay for their wedding venue after looking at several locations in Banff and Canmore. Mt. Norquay was their last visit and were so pleasantly surprised! They loved the drive up, the mountain views, the venue space itself, the fact that it was an intimate and private setting and that it also happened to be the most reasonably priced. And then meeting with the event manager, Teha, confirmed their decision. My daughter said she was on time (not the case everywhere), could answer every question they had and was completely straightforward as to what the venue offered. Once the decision was made to book with My. Norquay, Teha and her team continued to be incredibly responsive in every way - she responded to very single inquiry within a day (sometimes even on weekends, which wasn’t at all required), gave lots of helpful suggestions based on her experience and tried to accommodate each of our requests to personalize the menu and venue space specific to our needs. We cannot say enough about Teha as the manager of Mt. Norquay, the bar and food staff and the venue itself - everything was clean and spacious and it was so comforting knowing that if the weather didn’t cooperate, we had a back up indoor space onsite. The space isn’t air conditioned, but was comfortable enough during dinner- a bit warm early on dancing, but the spacious deck was a great place to hang out until it cooled off. Everyone was on the dance floor soon enough. Thanks again to everyone for making the day so special for my daughter and for giving us every confidence that any situation would be dealt with in a professional manner. We would 100% recommend Mt. Norquay as the location for a Banff wedding. Teha, I will say it again…you ROCK!
