Timber Terrace Muskoka is a rustic wedding venue located in Huntsville, Ontario on the historic Morgan Acres. This stunning property, which features the original stone farmhouse, a timber frame event space, historic barn, and over 70 acres of sugarbush, pastures, and woodland area, offers a private setting and the perfect backdrop for your wedding day.
Facilities and Capacity
Timber Terrace Muskoka offers outdoor and sheltered event spaces that can accommodate up to 60 guests and the wedding party. You can choose from several unique locations for intimate wedding ceremonies including guest favourites such as the Terrace, the Gardens, the Pines, the Ferns, and others. The owners, Pam Carnochan and Jamie Honderich, are happy to provide each couple with a variety of options to make their wedding their own.
Cocktail hour, dinner, and reception are held at the rustic Timber Terrace with expansive timber frame ceilings, oak barrel high-top tables, firepits, and Muskoka chairs. The adjoining century-old barn includes a food service area with live edge counters and mobile bars. These sheltered spaces also provide cover for your guests should inclement weather occur.
Services Offered
The Morgan House bridal suite is your on-site location for the wedding party to get ready without any worry or stress of potentially being late.
Once the dancing and celebrations are over, you and your wife or husband can spend the night in the historic Morgan House Bed & Breakfast hosted by Pam. In the morning, those that spend the night enjoy a delectable breakfast with locally sourced ingredients freshly prepared each morning.
History
Timber Terrace Muskoka is a family run wedding venue. The property was established when owners Pam Carnochan and Jamie Honderich fell in love and moved to the Morgan House and restored the historic stone home and farm, transforming it into a rustic escape. In fact, the barn boards used in the Timber Terrace hail from the original barn that owners Pam and Jamie were married in over 30 years ago.
The property has taken on many forms since then as a Bed & Breakfast, Wool Works Art Studio, wilderness centre, and more. With the Timber Terrace Muskoka wedding venue quickly becoming a favourite location for intimate ceremonies and elopements, the iconic Morgan House Bed & Breakfast closed its doors after 28 years to exclusively provide wedding accommodations.

Beautiful Intimate Wedding Venue!
From our first contacts and visit to the venue, Pam and Hondo were so helpful - taking lots of time to show us around and make suggestions, and readily responding to any inquiries we had leading up to the wedding day. They are continually improving the venue, and from the time we first came for a viewing to the time of our wedding there were many new additions and upgrades that added to the magic of the day. 


This venue was perfect for our small, intimate wedding of 32 people. We got married in late October, when the colours were stunning, and the the Morgan House, gardens, forest, pond and twinkling string lights over the laneway provided many beautiful opportunities for photographs. Throughout the wedding day, Pam and Hondo were closeby for any last-minute questions or requests, which made us feel confident that any issues or concerns that came up would be resolved in good time. They helped us to problem-solve to make the day run smoothly (eg. a last minute change of location for hair and makeup to accommodate someone with mobility issues) and just shared in our general excitement the whole time. We had lots of time to set up the day before and clean up the day after, which helped make the whole process much less stressful. 


My husband and I stayed at the bed and breakfast as part of our wedding package and were very comfortable here. The Morgan House is beautifully decorated and breakfast was delicious. We even got some great recommendations for local trails to check out while we were up there.
Huntsville has a special place in our hearts and we could not have chosen a venue that better reflected our vision for the wedding and who we are as a couple. I would definitely recommend it!

My Husband and I started the Morgan House Bed and Breakfast in 1994 and have welcomed guests from all over the world. We have been locked down and therefore had more time to rejuvenate our plans for this historic homestead and are now offering outdoor weddings. We include the B&B for the couple to choose for their wedding as the B&B is exclusive for Wedding parties. The expansive property offers countless places to serve as you ceremony space and the photography possibilities are endless with the stone house nestled in 70 acres of ponds, forest, and fields.
