By the sound of other reviews we should have had Kim. I worked closely with the bride in planning with Rochelle and it was a challenge from the first time we met. Rochelle came into everything with an agenda that was her own and she was not willing to work with us. From pressuring the bride around her requests, challenging some of our ideas around centre pieces and who and when and the desire of the organizer to be the one to fluff the skirt of the bride (sorry. You are not in the wedding you should be out of sight. Not at the top of the aside) to not respecting our concerns in terms of food which led to running out before all guests AND the bride and groom had anything to eat the service of the management (Rochelle and her assistant) were difficult to work with and a huge disappointment. Photos were about to be posted prior to the event of decor without consultation after the bride was very clear she did not want to see anything in advance and was waiting to be surprised. The young staff were superb. The venue was beautiful and the weather cooperated so thankfully there were pluses to the day. As I said it sounds like we missed a good one with Kim.

I fell in love with this location the first time I got a tour. The Timber Room is absolutely jaw dropping and the greenery around is also amazing!!! Once we received the quote, it was also a no brainer for us as it was one of the most reasonable cost for a venue in the area. Kim has been absolutely fantastic in helping us throughout the way! She's always readily available and very accommodating when Covid hit. We went from 100 guests all day with food to 40 guests for ceremony only and Kim was there helping us all the way!

Other bonuses: You have a cluster of hotels 10 minutes away from the location, easy to get taxis and a charter bus there for guests, Near St Jacobs so people can enjoy visiting before the wedding, close to great restaurants for a dinner rehearsal, and beautiful spots on the trail to take amazing pictures.

Keep in mind: The location does not decorate. I would highly recommend to hire someone for the day to decorate the location to really make it pop! Trust me, it makes a big difference!

Grey Silo is the place for a wedding hands down! Booking the hall, and planning the wedding with Kim, the event coordinator, was a seamless process. From our first visit to Grey Silo for a tour, straight through to our wedding day, Kim was attentive to what our requests were, allowed us to make changes as we needed, and responded promptly to any questions or concerns we had (and we had a lot of questions). We had a lot of flexibility in bar selection as well as our wedding menu.
While it is still a golf course, signs were put up at both the front and the club house below indicating that there was a wedding going on, so we did not see any golfers passing through. Kim and her staff were quick to shut down golfers trying to get upstairs to the reception that were not part of the wedding reception.
On the day of, we fell behind on our timeline of events - Kim was quick to reach out and let us know that we were behind in our timeline, but left it up to us on whether or not we needed to pick up the pace on things. All courses were phenomenal and we had several compliments on the food selection we had.
At the venue, we had use of the outdoor patios for our guests to enjoy the fresh evening air, as well as use of the main reception room. The room comfortably fit all of our guests, and once a few tables were removed, there was plenty of room to dance. This is a great venue if you are looking for attentive staff, space to for guests to spread out, and a great overall atmosphere.

We were married at Grey Silo on January 13th, 2018 and it was truly the best day of our lives. So many of our guests complimented on how stunning the venue was, and how amazing the food was (especially the cheese cake!!).. and we couldn't have agreed more! Kim was incredible to work with from the very beginning, and always made herself available to answer our questions (even over the Christmas Holidays!). We are so thankful to her, and all of the staff at Grey Silo for making our wedding day a dream come true. If you are considering Grey Silo for your wedding, don't hesitate..do it! You will not be disappointed!

We held our long awaited wedding ceremony and reception at Grey Silo Golf Club. What an absolute dream come true our day was, thanks to all our vendors, and in particular Kim Reinhart, Hospitality Manager of Grey Silo Golf Club. Kim was an absolute pleasure to work with. From our initial meeting with Kim, we knew that Grey Silo was going to be the perfect fit for us. Flexibility was the first thing that came to my mind during that meeting. We had some special dietary needs that we would have to deal with for the meal and Kim was absolutely flexible with these needs. She was also extremely knowledgeable and provided us with much needed guidance when we were trying to decide whether we should go with the per consumption price for the bar or the all-in package. Thanks for your input on that Kim!! ;) In all, we ended up have the wedding of our dreams at Grey Silo on July 16th. The room was magnificent, the food was FANTASTIC and the service exceeded our expectations. Well done Kim and team from Grey Silo! We'll see you when we renew our vows in 10 years ;)

This is a perfect venue if you're looking for an inexpensive but beautiful hall. We loved it and the service so much. Nothing went wrong leading up to our day and we couldn't suggest it more. We still get comments about how nice our venue and staff were the day of. Book it before it books up fast next season!

My husband and I had an amazing experience!! We dealt with Kim and she was amazing at setting my mind at ease. Payments were extremely flexible and we never felt pressured to put money out where we didn't want to. We made all of our decorations and ou wedding was on a Saturday, we were lucky enough to have the space the night before to decorate which made for a much smoother wedding day. The food was AMAZING! We had a buffet and we got to have poutine for our late night meal! :) for the bar we chose to have a cash bar but they had many different options. Staff the night of ther wedding were amazing and very helpful. The space only holds 130 people max but h believer there are two rooms to take advantage of. We only had 80 guests so there was more than enough space. One of my favourite features of the venue was the patio overlooking the golf course. It was open to guests to use through the night and the space made for beautiful pictures. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for something different than your average ballroom.

We are so happy that we chose Grey Silo to host our wedding reception. The venue itself is stunning and does not need much decor, the food was to die for and the service was impeccable.
