Nice Facility, Good Food, Shame about the service

My daughter's wedding was at Eagles Nest in June 2024. I wrote a letter to Eagles Nest after the wedding about service related issues we encountered. I still have not received a response. I reached out again in August but was told the person was on holidays. It has now been 3 months so I guess I am not getting a response. Eagles Nest gets all your money up front so I guess they have no reason to respond.
I am the most upset about the $2,000.00 ceremony fee that was paid yet 30 or so of our guests did not have a seat for the ceremony. There were elderly people standing for the duration of the ceremony....

There were elderly people standing for the duration of the ceremony. The pictures of the ceremony look odd as some of the guests are standing and others were lucky enough to get a seat. You would think that the staff would have seen this and rectified the shortage of seats but they did not. The billing department sure did not have a problem figuring out how many people to charge for the dinner.
We questioned Eagles Nest about whether we needed 2 bars but were told that one bar would be sufficient for our 160 guests. The bar was jammed up with people standing in line all night.
We were told that the wine glasses would be filled by revolving staff. My husband had to go looking for a staff member to ask them to fill up many empty glasses at many tables.
We were told to offer a cauliflower steak as a vegan option for dinner. We had this printed on the menus but on the night of the wedding, the cauliflower steak was not served. That was embarrassing since guests were given that option on the wedding invitation.
On Eagles Nest invoice, it states that the salad was to be served "server to scoop 2 scoops per guest family style". A bowl of salad was dropped on all the tables and the guests had to serve themselves.
There were a few more service related issues but I hope you get the picture. I have had my daughter and son both get married this year. I have hosted engagement parties and showers at competing venues. I attended 5 weddings this year and everyone had a seat for the ceremony at all the weddings except my daughter's ceremony at Eagles Nest. I certainly did not have to write a letter about the service we received at any of the other venues. We paid a premium for Eagles Nest for what we perceived to be a premium venue. This was a very expensive lesson.

Spectacular Wedding Venue

We just had our wedding at Eagles Nest this past weekend and all of my expectations were exceeded. The venue is stunning and the team is very flexible and allows you to make many decisions yourself - there is not much that they dictate. The main highlight was the food. I have had so many people give compliments on the food, saying it is Michelin restaurant status, best wedding food they have ever had, and many more. This venue was a perfect backdrop to the wedding of our dreams!

Gorgeous venue, but golf takes priority!

We had our wedding of ~120 people here in July, 2024. This is a beautiful wedding venue, but comes with some pros and cons! Ultimately we had a great wedding, but here are some pros and cons that may help you decide:

Pros:
-Only one wedding per day
-Beautiful space, big windows, lots of greenery and a nice lake for the ceremony and photos, big patio/balcony area for guests to hang out outside of they'd like. Overall, you don't need much decorations to make the space beautiful!
-Food was good and on time
-Very responsive to questions and emails
-You can take your bride&groom photos on the premises

Cons:
-Golf will always take priority for them! Be...

We had our wedding of ~120 people here in July, 2024. This is a beautiful wedding venue, but comes with some pros and cons! Ultimately we had a great wedding, but here are some pros and cons that may help you decide:

Pros:
-Only one wedding per day
-Beautiful space, big windows, lots of greenery and a nice lake for the ceremony and photos, big patio/balcony area for guests to hang out outside of they'd like. Overall, you don't need much decorations to make the space beautiful!
-Food was good and on time
-Very responsive to questions and emails
-You can take your bride&groom photos on the premises

Cons:
-Golf will always take priority for them! Be aware that there may be a big golf tournament or event on your wedding day, and they won't tell you in advance! This happened to us, and by the time we found out, it was only a month or so before the wedding so there was nothing we could do! I suggest that you ask about this in advance, cause initially they made it seem like we would be the only event there that day. This could generally affect the ambiance. Even if there is no big tournament, there may be a lot of golfers around. We had golfers playing golf literally behind us during the ceremony, and even though my planner and family asked the coordinator from the venue (Jo-Anne) multiple times if she could ask the golfers to not play right behind us just for the duration of the ceremony, she said that there was nothing she could do.
-Before the ceremony, my family and I wanted to use the bridal suite which is upstairs, and we were told we have to take the stairs because the staff needed the elevators to move some tables around for their golf event. The staff rudely asked us to just take the stairs, but as the bride with a huge veil and train, and family members in long dresses, we said that it was not appropriate to ask us to take the stairs upstairs (1-2 full floors, don't exactly remember). As the bride, I had to argue with them at length just for them to allow me to use the elevator to go upstairs. They finally allowed me, but it was super inappropriate to do that to me, 30 mins before I was supposed to walk down the aisle.
-Overall, I heard from my planner and my family that the attitude of our day of coordinator was not appreciated, and it did not seem like she cared much about our event. Thank god I had a planner and family to have my back and handle issues in the background, because their main priority is their venue and the golf, not your wedding!

Wedding 2023

Eagles Nest was an amazing venue! We are so happy we decided to have our wedding here. The staff was amazing, the coordination and communication was great! The food was beyond delicious and the venue itself was beautiful. I would highly recommend having your event here! Friends and family are still giving great reviews for how much they enjoyed our wedding and everything about the venue

Beyond the sheer beauty of Eagles Nest, the staff is one of the main reasons why we picked it as our wedding venue. We knew from the second we emailed them that they were going to be a pleasure to work with and they did not disappoint! Pamela and Jo-Anne are INCREDIBLE at what they do. Pamela made the whole planning process so easy and was so much fun to work with. Her attention to detail is like no other. Easy to Work With and a WOW Experience on the Big Day

My wife and I did our wedding reception on October 16, 2022. We explored a number of different places to get married, and finally settled on Eagles Nest for a bunch of different reasons:

1. Their salesperson was very responsive. Any emails we would send, she'd respond within minutes to hours. If we needed to get on a phone call, that wasn't a problem.

2. The venue itself says "class." When you walk into Eagles Nest, you feel like you're in a French chateau. A number of our clients are members of other country clubs, and even they commented on the elegance of the place.

3. The service. A few months before our event, we did...

My wife and I did our wedding reception on October 16, 2022. We explored a number of different places to get married, and finally settled on Eagles Nest for a bunch of different reasons:

1. Their salesperson was very responsive. Any emails we would send, she'd respond within minutes to hours. If we needed to get on a phone call, that wasn't a problem.

2. The venue itself says "class." When you walk into Eagles Nest, you feel like you're in a French chateau. A number of our clients are members of other country clubs, and even they commented on the elegance of the place.

3. The service. A few months before our event, we did a food tasting, to decide on the menu. When we entered, Pam herself (the saleslady) was waiting for us near the front door. It wasn't a receptionist, who we then had to ask for Pam, and Pam wasn't on her computer, or scrolling through her phone as we walked in. She was standing there, at attention, like we're welcome guests that she's been really looking forward to meeting.

And my wife and I are punctual. I can't imagine what Pam would do for people who are chronically late.

4. We were considering a downtown venue, but between the aggravation of driving downtown, and finding parking spots, we decided against it. Eagles Nest has no issues with parking.

5. The event itself went off without a hitch. All the Eagles Nest wait staff delivered the food quickly, without any noise, and without interrupting the entertainment going on.

All in all, we can't recommend Eagles Nest enough.
