This is such a gorgeous venue for a Chinese wedding.

James is the owner, he promised us everything verbally when we paid our deposit about a 9 months in advance.

He promised us a minimum of 12 tables, and drew us a floor map with 12 tables. Then he went back on it and said he never promised it to me, even after I proved it by forwarding his email and floorplan. He still denied it, 3 weeks before our wedding. He made us pay an extra $3k to have the whole restaurant. Then after that, he said he’s still going to have customers in the private room. James took no accountability for his error.

We’ve heard so many great things about Ginger Beef and James through the 4 years they started doing weddings, it was nothing but positive!

I recently heard 3 negative stories about James that happened this year. He’s just gotten greedy and didn’t show up for meetings. He would make couples and vendors wait 2 hours because he forgot about a meeting.

Despite it being a beautiful and inexpensive venue, James will find a way weeks before your wedding to up the price.

On the day of our wedding, we asked them if we could pack up some of the food for the bride and groom and when we got home, we found out he didn’t pack over 80% of the items.

My parents also complained that they kept forgetting to serve their table! They had to tell the servers 3 times and they just kept apologizing for missing them.

Anyway, just a horrible experience. You won’t get what you want even if you have anything in writing.
